It is very common for diesel engines [older mechanical injection types] to have the racks stick. Some types stick in the open position and will take off and rev themselves to destruction so you always should have a way of shutting it down other than turning the key off. Best method is to be able to cover the intake with a metal baffle to cut of intake air.
Bloody nice work ! Love these old girls. You’ve inspired me to get a white one to match my 79 haha and the front grills to start a Landcruiser evolution wall
if you want to by pass the edic issues just take the rod off hold the arm towards the firewall for over fuel (start) mid way for run and forward towards radiator for shut off... the oil cap test at the end unfortunately doesn't show you much as the intake is still attached to the rocker cover and is sucking over any blow by over to the intake as intended.... so your not going to see any present without blocking that off, it will only show you an engine that's really far gone not one with blow by and in between this stage... if that makes sense love your videos mate keep em coming!
Fellas I came across Tojo forklift, lifted the lid and it was fitted with a factory turbo 2H even had a centrefuge oil filter/ seperator , good score for a tough truck@@zoezoe610

Same power with toyota 14B 4 cylinder
Do you still have the door mechanisms by any chance mate?
Yeah, but they are fairly tired looking
Yo tengo uno asi mismo en mi pais panama con timon Izquierdo
Seeing you chop the chassis in half gave me an idea for a future build. why don't you use the rear half of the chassis as a camper trailer 🤔🤷
Not a bad idea but the chassis is stuffed mate.
@@smarttouringsystems-garage looked good behind lance though 💯
@@smarttouringsystems-garageway too heavy
I have one too.....wont start
84 model and you cut it up😢😢😢😭😭😭..
Yeah I know mate, it was proper knackered.
The 2H, very few engines are as reliable..
Put the good motor into Lance and save some money.
Definitely on the cards, except for the saving money part. 😂 it will probably end up with turbo etc.
@@smarttouringsystems-garage A turbo will give it the life it needs, solid engine and will handle it easily.
