Maybe you wondered where I got to ? well i made a trip over to UK to see my family and to meet my new grandchild, who was born on 20th October 2012, Thomas Andrew Leach, 9.1lbs !! so great excitement there of course.
Now back here in PA and getting ready to host some workshops here in my studio. So check out my website for that.
Winter is ahead so its time to mentally prepare for the cold studio !! not looking forward to that so much, but I do have some pots I need to make so we will be merrily 'clipping' along soon ! ...Yes we keep practicing ! SL
Make me a donation if you feel inspired ! - simonleachpottery.com/pottery-...

This is great. I love watching you potters. I learn so much esp. those little details. At 76, I need all the shortcuts I can get. Only at the wheel and pottery 4 yrs. John in Indiana.

absolutely fascinating to see a smaller, but way historical, production pottery. This was fascinating.

Welcome back!! Congratulations, Grandpa!!! Our 11th came in Sept. Withdrawal from your regular videos has been difficult to get through. I am SO happy that you are back. Thanks for sharing the teapot tips with us. I just made my first teapot as a closed form...still afraid of throwing lids.

Simon, I love watching your videos. Your recent videos have a genuine in situ feel that I like versus your traditional instructional videos. Regardless, keep posting as I am learning quite a bit from you! Thanks!

we were talking about the kiln at Lowerdown the old original one my father David, built back in 1961. The new owners of what used to be the pottery had it knocked down and removed.
I was there so see some of it. Sad but life moves on ....

Thanks, Simon. Lovely to see John's assured work habits. Was that the Lowerdown kiln you were talking about?

Lovely clip. There's a simple metal device you shove into the spout to stop it leaking, works for me. But what is this "Jerm's kiln collapsed"about? Did your brother have some misfortune with his kiln? I loved the clips you made visiting him in his workshop.
