One thing that is often lacking in all Minecraft SMPs is closure - they tend to just peter out. I would love to see a satisfying finale to this season of Hermitcraft (whenever that time comes). Perhaps a livestream weekend where anyone available joins in and people tour each other's bases, admire all the hard work that went into them, visit the museums that Cleo & Cub are making, play some of the minigames, and reflect with each other on how the season went.

What can you do for us? You guys seem to do a lot already. We wouldn't want you to get burnt out. I personally would enjoy it if there were more fan contributions to things in the server to make it more unique as time goes on, so we could be like "Oh, Mumbo's fans suggested that" or "Oh yeah, UA-cam comments asked me to build that." It might add a nice twist, but you guys are doing great already! Sorry I haven't been watching the series as often, I've been so busy. Of course. They already do loads of stuff, I'm actually baffled they manage to keep it up and keep their sanity. The more so with those who also run another project simultaneously (Empires SMP - like False or Gem - that now concluded; or New Life SMP - Gem with Pearl; or some make a single player Let's Play series or play modded). But yeah, input from fans would be great. Mumbo already runs this separate project called "Your Silly Redstone Ideas", which is entirely based on his fans suggestions on what he should build next, themed for Redstone contraptions. That's actually fairly interesting format.

Yes to this! I love when viewers get to suggest names for an animal, or design ideas. I really enjoyed in Season 7 when Xisuma showed us a build by his patrons with glass spheres and then incorporated that into his own base - sharing the design process and inspiration was so cool. Viewers can interact more on streams - so maybe making a short of a funny stream moment, or including it in a video.

You mentioned that Ren had taken action and hosted HHH, and no one really has since. It made me think a lot about the fact that Tango has said a few times that he wants to do an entire livestream weekend when Decked Out 2 is finished, and I think that could be a really cool thing for the hermits excited for DO2 to get in on, and have it be a big get together event.
The hermits already, as a collective, do so much for us as fans and as a community, but the one thing that comes to mind in terms of ways the hermits could help us, would be to hire on people to caption videos. Grian typically has a very good system of color coded, named, very tight closed captions on his videos, and it goes a long way to help hard of hearing and deaf fans to enjoy the content. UA-cam's captions are hit or miss at best, and I think having the extra little step in making sure the things you're sharing are understood by as many people as they can be, would help a lot.
I've sent a couple of emails about it in the past, but hermits tend to be terribly busy, so never heard back, but, if you see this, I hope it's something you consider.
Thank you for all the things you do, personally, and as a group. The inspirational, the fun, the heartwarming, the silly. The ways in which you show us all you're humans too, and the love you have for the world and human connections. It means the world. Thank you, Xisuma.

Wish community contribution subtitles didn't go away, I'm sure lots of fans would love to help out with the subtitles too. Grian's, Zedaph's and Recap's high quality subtitles influence whom I watch a lot - I'm much more inclined to click on videos from channels with great subtitles because I can watch those even with no headphones and no volume. I don’t really know what I want from the Hermits. I’m happy as it is. But I do admit I love seeing collaborations. Yes with the other Hermits, that’s why I love watching streams, the random conversations you can hear between hermits are super fun. But I also really enjoyed the Empires crossover, seeing you and Cleo interact with Joey Graceffa was wild. I’d been watching Empires before so it was like my two worlds collided and it was really fun. And as far as I know, Grian spearheaded that, so it’s like what you said about someone taking action to make something happen.
I also like Skizzleman, so seeing him collab with Zedaph, Impulse and Tango is fun, the ZITS crew. Beef and Etho just started a mini series with PauseUnpause, a friend from their time on MindCrack.
I really enjoy those collaborations. The ones with people outside of Hermitcraft obviously take more effort. But the ones on Hermitcraft and with other Hermits are brilliant too.
So if you’re asking me what I want from Hermitcraft. Spin a wheel and pick a hermit that’s online. See if they want to hang out for an hour or so doing whatever, you could help them with a project, play TCG, or just chat. Record it, and if none of it is what you’d find fun, you don’t have to show us. But I reckon a lot of the time, a large portion of that hour or two will be super fun to watch.

I'm not sure if that is the type of suggestion you were looking for, but one thing that i appreciate a lot and wished to see more in the hermitcraft community is closed capitions. I understand that it is not always possible to add them, as it sure takes time and money while not beign that high of a demand, but clicking on a video an seeing that it has closed capitions is very special to me as a non-native english speaker and i'm sure it is for various other people too, so it may be something to consider. I agree. I have auditory processing disorder, so while just one Hermit talking usually isn't a problem for me (though when Doc or Tango gets excited I usually have to rewind it) I struggle when there's multiple Hermits talking. I work at a bar and stuf can get really hectic sometimes, things fall stuff breaks etc. But a lot of the time when something like that happens someone else is already cleaning it up for you and visa versa. No-one thinks about blaming someone else because we just don't have the time and space for things like that. We just move one and get trough the night. At the end of the night we sit down and discuss all the things that happened.

People don't often realise that artistic works are just as important to humanity as scientific ones, and one cannot exist in isolation from the other. I can understand the FOMO many fans can feel for having more interactive events, but if I were to think of another cool example of the hermits doing stuff for the community, I also think of Beef's Hermitcraft TCG, and how it got made into a real thing. By giving us, the fans, access to a game that we watch the hermits play, it makes us feel more a part of the community. It's also satisfying knowing that the hermits get some profit out of this.

The Hermits as a group already do a lot for this community; big things, and small. Personally, it's been a lifeline for me. I'm a disabled military veteran, in my 50s, and deal with a lot in my day to day. Whenever I need a break, to reset my addled old brain, I can always find a video from one Hermit or another. Sometimes it's just fun tomfoolery, especially collaborative videos. Sometimes it's builds that show me new ways to use some blocks, or that help me think on a different scale. Other times, it's just a Scar death montage. 🤣😂🤣 I just wish I could afford a decent PC, so I could download the past worlds and explore them. I haven't been able to play MineCraft since my PS4 died 2 years ago. Just keep doing what you already do, creating projects that bring you joy, because sharing that joy with us is what keeps us coming back. 🤠👍

I don't know what your financial is. But if you have a savings. I learned saving for a negative event that 'might happen' in a small percent if you really look at it. What are you saving it for then. A pie dinner cost is not going to hurt the cost of a house, and you set yourself maybe back at most a month with such cost. The way I see it, one has suffered enough that you deserve to hold onto a piece of happiness. There always going to be someone else who will try to stop you from being happy because they want you on their level of misery. You owe nothing to them. Your happiness is your own. Even if it is a few hours a day. Also if it is for gorceries. It usually they want to use the money for something to aid themselves and will stop your share to get it. We can't have that because we NEED it for this. But when you look back at the list. They bought cake. What were they really saying. You're worring about a fire that might happen in 2050. Your worries are about maybes events. Live the moment. Chill relax. You have the right to have fun in life, too.
I learned this lesson last year. I am way happier. What we stressing over. In the end, we're stopping ourselves. I say go out and get a new ps. You deserve it. After everything you have been, though, you deserve moments of happiness. Dude, you're not going break the bank over a gameboy player.

What can the hermits do? Take care of yourselves. The almighty youtube algorithm and insistence on shorts puts more pressure on the content creators that they shouldn't have to deal with. This sort of crap contributes to the burnout and we see things become difficult for them (we saw this with Mumbo) and it's understandable.
But then the small minority of entitled muppets in the fandom who send the content creators hate for not uploading every week or not making the content they want also need to sort their crap out and stop feeling so entitled. Yes, again it's the small minority, but this doesn't help a content creator want to make that content (Iskall mentioned on his VH streams about getting nasty messages to straight up death threats because he's not making HC content and it makes him not want to bother because, as he rightly says, why would he want to feed those sort of people?)
Most of all, look after each other when going tough times. The fandom of course sends love to a creator going through difficult times, but since we don't know them as well as you guys probably know each other and are more likely to tell each other what's going on, please look out for each other however you can.

On the topic of extreme ownership: My therapist once told me that during couples counseling he liked running a competition. To put it simply, you got 5 points if you apologized for something your partner did and 10 points if you apologized for something YOU did.
“I’m sorry you were mad” = 5 points
    “I’m sorry I made you mad” = 10 points
People are naturally competitive (especially people who are arguing lol), so it’s a shockingly effective way to break individuals out of their own biases, especially given the setting and how issues with communication, pride, and empathy are often the first things that struggling relationships need to work on.

I find that people are quick to move to blame and defensiveness because we are quick to translate blame into characterizations. So instead of someone making a mistake, they’re automatically a bad person. We don’t want someone else to think we’re a bad person so we make excuses to justify ourselves, rather than think of solutions. I think HC modeling that good people make bad choices sometimes (like Scar/Grian blowing up Doc’s tunnel bore), even with consequences (wither skulls), is a huge service to our society. The fact that doc is deliberately avoiding griefing or destruction while creating mind-bending consequences is fascinating, and a valuable metaphor for the rest of us.

I’ve heard it put differently: when things go wrong, what is your relationship with the window and the mirror? The window is looking out to find who to blame and the mirror is how you perceive yourself and how you could have done things differently.

I know some hermits already do this, scar for example said he loves looking at fanart, but I dunno, some sort of way to say thanks to all the amazing artists and animators throughout the community would be awesome!

i really do hope we get to see more of the charity stuff. The stream where Martyn joined as the speed reader was so fun and i honestly still watch it ever so often. It really showed what can happen when people come together, especially when loads of people send just one dollar or pound! Besides that, just keep doing what you're doing. From Hermitcraft people get inspiration, distractions and entertainment, which is amazing!

Talking about doing something to help a random person.
I remember many years ago, I was walking down the street and saw a lady with shopping in both hands. She kept stopping to give her hands a rest from the cutting of the handles. I stopped her and gave her a plastic handle to hold them with.
She called me an Angel sent from god to aid her on her walk that day.
    It felt good.
So yes, we all can do those angelic things that help make someone's day that much better.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, personally, the hermits really help me when I'm bored, upset, stressed out, or just need a laugh. I usually watch videos for this because I never can find the time to watch full streams. I love how hermits like Scar and Grian can make me laugh no matter what I'm feeling or going through, and how people like you, who seem very calm and chill most of the time, can be very comforting. I don't watch as many hermits as I'd like to, but I am thankful for the ones I do watch.

I would like to see more Hermits do youtube full time. For example, if everyone subscribed to Mumbo went and subbed to Welsknight, this would be a viable career for him. I know content creation is not easy, with families and jobs. But when a Hermit crosses over that line, the quality of their videos, scheduling, etc gets better.
Collaborating more, including them in the process when they are online, giving them more visibilty would be a key in growing the community.

I think hermitcraft is the best minecraft content creator server in the world, because the hermits are really kind people who give back to the community and the world a lot through charity. They also continually support other servers that are their friends and try to encourage their fans from not attacking other smps either (though sadly it still happens a lot, especially to smps that aren't directly affiliated with HC)

100% correct when you say the hermitcraft community is a great and awesomely positive one.
I experienced this when after Season 8 ended I made a video called "When is Hermitcraft Season 9 gonna start?" that got 48K views and 202 comments, and despite it being a relatively bad video in hindsight filled with no real infos but just poor guesses on my part that turned out to be blatantly wrong, 201 out of the 202 comments were supportive, and the only other one wasn't even like an insult or a slur but just something mildly mean like :"This video was a waste of time" that might not have even been wrong now that I look back at it.
This community is insanely positive and just great!.

I think a big part of the reaction to tickets is the idea of space.
For a physical event, it is accepted that there is limited space so only a certain number of people will fit.
But for a virtual event, you can hypothetically fit an unlimited number of people.
But in reality, the more people the more powerful the server needs to be so that provides a limit, but I'm not sure if everyone realises that.

    - closed captions on videos, as others have suggested :)
    - I love the idea of an online Hermitcon! Maybe it could be hosted in small batches over the course of days, so the issue of timezones and scheduling is avoided, and instead of a huge amount of people at once, there’d be more manageable sizes

As someone who has been plagued by bigger mistakes in the past and is deeply reflective of them, I feel that it is important to give people another chance as long as they are willing to cooperate and fix the problem. Something I would love to see bigger content creators do is interact with the small SMP and small MC Creator community more often. I do realize that it's not always feasible to watch or interact with smaller content creators. There are many of us, and it may be difficult to find time or keep track of everything that's going on. So there's really not a good solution right now, but I'd love to hear some suggestions. What I am thinking about is that the community of smaller creators that are really dedicated to making content is actually a lot smaller than it looks.
Many of us started making content because of the Hermits and other bigger SMPs, and I've seen how ecstatic my friends have been when they get comments from bigger creators. It really helps them feel like their hard work has paid off, and motivates them to continue doing amazing things. Minecraft SMPs and Content Creators have been very segmented and isolated from each other, but it doesn't have to be that way! We can connect the network and create opportunities for bigger content creators to try new things and branch out, as well as opportunities to showcase smaller creators that make amazing content.

Something I've thought about for a few seasons is that there could be some way for the mini game districts to get a lot more use, and perhaps this can be done with organised competitions for viewers, after the season is over and the world download has been released. Could be tied into a raising money for charity, somehow. I love playing these games with local multiplayer with my 10 year old son!
It seems to me the Hermits put in a lot of effort into these games, then they are played perhaps once or twice on the server. Often, the first few play-throughs reveal some balancing tweaks that need to be made (such as with Etho's trident game, or Scar/Mumbo's capture the flag game...), but since the Hermits know these games probably won't be played again, they often don't make the adjustments. Seems like a lot of wasted potential.
I wonder if there could be some way to either encourage viewers to create their own contests with these world downloads, or for the Hermits to create a server (perhaps restricted to the minigame district) for their games to be played by the viewers. Or, perhaps, to splice together a world download with every mini game from all the seasons.
Anyway, just a thought based on how much we all love these games, and how much effort you all put in to making them! Thanks, X!

I can't say specifically as a fan, what I would say I want, other than just continued authenticity and seeing the wonderful passions you all bring into your videos that transcend Minecraft as a whole.
You're all wonderful people, and it's so wonderful to see what interests and influences all of you do what you do, or the things that worm their way in without intending to but add such a charm and joy to this corner of the internet as a whole.
I started watching Hermitcraft just before the crossover with Empires, so I was still figuring out who everyone was and what their focuses were.
I became endeared by many of the hermits, and as time has gone on the ones I watch regularly have increased. One thing that I remember clearly that made me surprised but also fascinated was watching a JoeHills video/stream, and in the process of 'looking for work' on the Empires server, got the clearest and most concise explanation of how to approach a cover letter and job resume I've ever heard.
Hearing people interact and just seeing the little things that come in either slightly off the cuff or out of the blue, the things that people have that interest them and they share those passions with the people around them, to me make Hermitcraft very special.
Perhaps in short, I could say: it's always interesting and feels very special to hear about what influences what you do, and how in the process of just living life, we see it's not just one thing that makes any of us, us.
Photography, travel, science, whatever the interests are or the experiences people are comfortable sharing, being who you are and interacting with both the other hermits and the communities around you is a certain kind of special.

I don't know how feasible these are, but CC can be very helpful. Another would be to somehow communicate to hermits that going into the more technical side isn't such a bad thing and it can even help us from time to time. I watch a good mix of people that focus on building and ones that focus on redstone, but I often hear hermits say something along the lines of "but you don't want to head about the boring bits". I do! It's nice to hear a hermit be all excites about that side of things and it also helps me with builds and redstone. Despite playing the game since 1.5 I've never done much building so I try to absorb as much information on the process of figuring out how someone makes a cool build and the same goes for redstone. I can barely make an etho hopper clock and I consider the whole redstone aide of things incredibly interesting as well!
Other than that...just take care, take breaks and please don't push yourself and burn out. Above all, take care of yourselves. I know hermits tend to overdo things and push themselves too hard to complete a project or video so please just take it easy from time to time

As amazing and inspiring all those huge builds and farms and bases are, I think the most important part of this for me is always the hermits themselves. their personalities, their ideas, their successes and failures. And most importantly, the jokes and laughs and the interactions between them! collaborations, whether planned or unplanned, are one of the most fun things to watch! I also really loved the empires crossover, so maybe, collaborations between hermitcraft and other people from empires could be a cool thing to do every now and then. The only thing I would want for this community, is for the creators to stay healthy and happy.
Hermitcraft is something I’ve found a lot of comfort in, wether it be just a bunch of happy friends doing fun stuff or getting very focused on all the little things in (for example: cool buildings!).
On thing I really enjoy about Hermitcraft is the fact that no one has face cams! (Apart form in streams) I myself enjoy listening to the little ups and downs in peoples voice because it can send such a positive message, and if the creators aren’t happy it’s sometimes easy to hear, which then brings the mood down, and if more and more people notice it, it might bring the community a little down. This isn’t always the case, yes, but part of entertainment for the community has to do with bringing positivity!
So we advice breaks, even if we might miss our favourite creators for a bit it’s better if you all stay healthy as human beings :)

Hermitcon and a D&D Hermit stream would be awesome, honestly.

What can Hermits do for us?
Well. I know this has already been commented but I figure it wouldn't hurt if I posted this too, to increase likeliness of being seen. I would really like to see more Hermits subtitle their videos. I know Grian and Zedaph do, but I don't know if anyone else does. I know it can be expensive and/or time consuming but it would really help make videos more accessible and more likely to be watched, at least for me. I don't watch very many Hermits because some videos are really hard to hear, especially if there's a lot happening. I really do want to watch more Hermits because y'all have such great content.
So yeah. That's what I am suggesting. it might not be possible but it would be massively appreciated.

I always really enjoyed that Hunt the Hermit series from a few years back. I would love it if that came back in some form.
