Aha that's me in the background 15.00 mark! Yes I never caught anything either, as you would've seen. Top tip, don't rest your phone on the basalt sills, you will knock it into one of the tiny cliff puddles - like I did.
Love the video, might try there sometime. Tried at the castle on Saturday but got there at noon and there was a lot of people, no room to fish really. Going to try at sunrise through the week!
Well done hinny, a nice day out. I usually stand at the top of the cleft half way down the point & cast towards the bathing house, it is pretty clean ground, so less prone to snags it seems. A great spot in a Northerly wind, the reverse of Castle point. Keep it up !
Well all the years Ive been fishing I have never caught a lobster, so well done. It looks a cracking place to fish, if I ever get up your way ,perhaps you would take me there. cheers Allen
I think back in its day this was a great spot, but these days it's very poor - thankfully its a nice place to fish to make up for the lack of them. Think you'll try some random places? Like rocks or beaches etc outside of the Dunstan/Culler but still in Northumberland.
I’ve caught an octopus but never a lobster Good on you for letting it go But to be honest I would be eating it evening Bravo I let the octopus go by the way
I like to release whenever I can, I think I remember that it had injuries too - some kind of infection on its side so I’m not sure it would have been edible for anyone Tight lines 👍🎣🐟

Yeh the castle gets too busy for my liking too this time of year, sunrise is probably the best bet but you’ll probably still not be fishing alone

Ah thanks, I’ll bear that in mind for next trip up there. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time 👍

Thank you 😊
No fish but still a lovely day I bet. Tight lines Hinney. Will have to give that spot a try myself. Did you park at Craster?
Hiya, there’s a few parking spots on the road right near the mark, or further south near the bath house. Saves paying to park at a Craster 👍

Yeh, I plan to try some other places around the NE, plus the west coast too 👍
