MrParkerman6 I grew up near San Francisco which is culturally and economically the heart of northern California. I have now lived in Southern California for several years, specifically San Diego, even if I have some family ties to LA and orange county. After doing some research and reflecting on my own memories, as well as listening to how I speak in particular situations, there is A San Francisco accent, plus subtle variation throughout the Bay Area that I often hear when I listen to Bay Area residents. I sometimes speak it myself when I find myself speaking directly from the heart without thinking too much, and when I hear it in other people, it reminds me of where I grew up, the people I knew, and the hilly landscape that is the SF bay area. Embrace your local accent if you think you have it, have identified it, and speak it when it’s most natural for you.
Lars had a vision, and he happened upon the right guys. James for one, great writer and player he would become, Lars saw that he needed time to come out of his shell. Well if he speaks both languages why wouldn’t he be able to do it effortlessly? I find that here in America people tend to only speak one language which is English and I find that very limited. Most people all over the world speak English even if it is not their native tongue. This leads me to believe that here in America we are limiting ourselves and our future generations at not making it a requirement to be bilingual.
