- When our team at Bungie decided to bring Destiny 2 to the PC, they knew it would be a big challenge. To get it right, they focused on nailing the feel of gameplay on keyboard and mouse, delivering a customizable experience with uncapped framerate, and making sure PC players would feel right at home.

Despite the launch issues for a few, thank you for making this not just another “crappy PC port.” Here’s hoping more developers follow this.

Only players using third party hacking software were banned. Softwares such as discord should not get you banned.
It just feels like VV put more love into their version than Bungie.
You were supposed to build off what D1 was at the end, not remove half the shit. I’m a D1 day one veteran and I don’t know how much more D2 I’ll be playing.
Nick Reid I’m also D1 day one, but the thing is I never even knew what Destiny was. I literally went out and bought it and just played. One of the best games I have ever played. As well as D2, the problem is hyping yourself up, then you play yourself by thinking it’ll be like a game from 2050 with some crazy next generation stuff. Just go in blind next time, won’t be disappointed
j mnyprc I understand what you are trying to say and think it’s a good idea to do that with some games, but when it’s a game like destiny that I played for 3 years straight and sunk a month of my life into, how am I to not get hyped. I also don’t think it’s wrong to expect only improvements from the sequel of a game especially one like destiny where they had 3 years to learn what the player base wanted.
Destiny 2 feels like Destiny 1 after all the DLC has been released. I have very few problems with it. If anything, I'm loving every ounce of it. Reading through the Grimoire cards and learning about the story, I instantly became hooked. Now I only want more.
then you should know that the state that it is in now is better then what destiny 1 day one was....the problem is you thought they was gonna give you the experience of destiny one with all the dlc included put into the vanilla Destiny 2... its activision you shouldn't have thought that way that was a mistake... this time it started out good and not pure shit and then it will just get better from there... that was you and everyone elses mistake to think that way you only have yourselves to blame
Now fix the endgame and D2 is the best game ever
there is WAY more issues then that
They only need to fix loot drops as in stat rolls imo, but keep the ones that are "op" in, fixing flinch and high cal rounds would change guns like the mida and uriel alot to the point where they aren't "op". Also the pulse grenades for christ sake, just the range on them though bc seems out of place but might just be me tbh, all that would be left is just minor bugs and stuff. Stat rolls would allow more farming and more farming means better loot and so on, just like the good old d1 endgame but with new content. Oh yeah and matchmaking

Major Dickhead it's really sad how after all these years of major feedback, Bungie still has no clue on how to fix their game (at least until after they release all of their overpriced DLC)
The Dev team are the ones that screwed up the end game and made all these weird changes. The live team at twitch con made an in depth list about fixes coming so they will make this right just like they were doing in D1. In terms of when these fixes come it will be in seasonal blocks every 3 months.

Yeah, I'm on PC and it took 3 days... Beat the game (will the most pathetic boss fight I've ever seen in a game in a while) and now I look at what everyone says was in the first one and just can't believe how much of a shell the game is. Thank god i got it with a graphics card and didn't actually pay for it.

Our 100 member clan has been having an absolute blast, the PC port is absolutely gorgeous and brilliant to play.
I grew up with Halo: Custom Edition and I gotta say, your work really paid off. The game is absolutely beautiful and runs silky smooth. The control layout is simple, much like my XIM4 on PS4 Destiny but with all the added benefits and tinkering you guys did to make it feel natural and right. I am so glad to see Bungie back on PC! It's been too long, you guys. Too long. I followed your games into the console era but I'm so glad to be back on PC. It's clear you guys make what you want, but in that, a game is made that I find I enjoy too. Always quality story telling.
I hope this game lasts me as long as Halo: CE. I've met so many great people on that game and done so many things. Halo is what got me into computers, animation, and minor hobby development. Things have changed so much over the years, I can't seem to keep up. You guys did though. Thank you for all your hard work and a great product for us fans to enjoy.

Legitimately not trying to be negative or "toxic" or whatever when I say this, but why don't you guys put that much effort into the replay value? Destiny 2 is so excruciatingly basic compared to Destiny 1, and I'm not talking about content (because obviously Destiny 1 has more), I'm talking about the dumbed down loot system, only one perk on the majority of weapons, no perks on armor at all, no random rolls, no strike specific loot, underwhelming raid loot, underwhelming faction loot, etc.
What market are you trying to appeal to? Who is this game for? Because it's not for the original fans and it's certainly not for the e-sports scene (watching PvP is almost as boring as playing PvP). The unanimous complaint is that there's no endgame. What's YOUR endgame for the Destiny franchise? Is it just going to stay like this (simple and basic) or can we look forward to the game returning to its roots? There's so much that needs to be done just to put Destiny 2 on par with Destiny 1, let alone actually make it stand out as a sequel.
They're leaning towards the "casual meta" currently popular in the market, there isn't a lot of AAA MMO-like games on the market like destiny, so it's easy to reel in a lot of people. Mainly casuals. (no offense casual players)

Loving the whole new level of social interaction via local and group chat.
Just want to say that the effort showed in the PC beta. Everything felt really fluid and smooth; the button layout is a bit crazy but there are so many abilities that it's required.

Hey guys I bought and traded destiny 2 on console because I am so used to high fov high fps high graphics AAA pc gaming. After this video I am going to give this a shot tonight. I didn't realize you put this much into the pc version

The game is beautiful. But I have no reason to play it anymore. Its so watered down from D1 that is it boring. I hope you guys fix it, i really do.

I love how people are comparing this vanilla game to the previous one which had several dlc’s in it, and was also boring in the beginning.
But they should have learnt from the dlc but they didn't. It's not how it works. You can't release a game and then say oh we'll fix it and make you pay for it through dlc.
I played a lot waiting for the Endgame to start. Hoping for the cool armor and guns with rad perks. Now the end game is just about cosmetics. I loved year one destiny, good gear was hard to get and when you got something it meant something. I want more RPG and less overwatch. I dont want to be rewarded with shaders and emblems I want to be rewarded with bad ass gear that makes my character more powerful. I want a reason to do the raid and to do Iron Banner. I want stats that matter and meaningful rewards.
D1 was not perfect but the end game was better than D2.

Bungie you have given me and my pc community we built JUST to play D2 on pc such joy. The Pc version was not a let down we are all extremely happy and having so much fun! In b4 "game is dead" and "no endgame" comments on this post.

It's been confirmed for hours that 3rd party overlays aren't the cause of the bans.
keep believing everything you see on the internet. there's actually other good legitimate criticism on the game being bad, but this is the case of people bandwagoning off of something that just isn't true. The game just doesnt work if you use any other type of overlay. It simply doesn't launch. Still a poor way to stop cheaters in my opinion. Although I can still check my fps with shadow play.
Not even true all my favorite d2 streamers , popular and under rated neither have been banned and that's about 6 different people.

Played Destiny 1 on PS4 and played 4 hours of Destiny 2 yesterday and this is an amazing pc port one of the best i have seen. And Destiny 2 is defiently a improved version of Destiny 1.

Built my first PC cuz of this. I went with a 1080ti OC edition & Ryzen 7 1700x.
I get a consistent 60fps on the highest (max) settings with 150% render at 1080p resolution. (60fps has 0 input lag)

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about Destiny 2 coming to PC and my main concern was "is this going to run anywhere near what I expect it to run at?" and the answer is yes...times 10. Destiny 2 was destined for PC, runs amazing at full resolution, frame rate of above 60, and haven't encountered a stutter since beta (just a small stutter in the beginning cut-scene). Finished the game the first day it was released and I'm loving the grind. Can't wait for more to come!

Aside from beefing up endgame (getting it to par with D1), I want more crosshair customizing. May not be an issue for most, but for me a person who mostly plays shooters like Overwatch and CSGO who each have unique crosshair adjustments. I would like to see that added. You have to wonder they'll do to keep the players still active & enthusiastic. Looking forward to what the team does in the future. Good luck. See you on Mercury.

You guys did an amazing job! Brought together the MMO world and first person shooter style gaming in this beautiful peace of art. I'm a new Destiny player and I can't stop playing. And from my experience playing WoW since launch, I'm absolutely loving the MMORP world, the progression, the items and all the different guns/exotics/builds combinations and how they interact with the environment. It's a bit weird with the way the communication is set up, but anything is worth whatever you guys have made I think. Can't wait for the raid. Already 290 week one! It was complicated to figure out at first but speed leveling was hella fun!

The PC Beta was what convinced me to truly buy this game. I was really impressed by the lack of server issues, and how damn well optimized it was. I have a middle of the road computer, but the game looked great, and ran damn well. No hang ups.
Regardless of what people say about the content of your game, keep up the good work on the optimization!!
-No decimals on sensitivity slider, technology is there since 10 years
-No separate volume sliders
-No internal FPS cap in game, you gotta go by config
-No general chat
