This format feels like an improved version of supreme draft if im honest, it has the high power feel but with some interplay with the other players in the draft portion
I like this format, but for me Supreme is a totally different beast. As someone who only plays mtgo cubes, it feels about as close to legacy/vintage as I'm likely to get. Love how interactive the games are when everyone has free spells and curves mostly stop at 2 or 3, plus the excitement of seeing the rare deck that completely ignores all of that and still somehow manages to perform well.
My favorite thing with these videos is turning it into a drinking game. Pause the video every new pack and each person guesses LSV's pick, if you're wrong take a drink!
You should be taking lands even higher than usual in this format since you’re going to get way more cards than you can ever fit in deck, and most of them are at similar power level. If you could, you would go back and take the land over non land in almost ever pick of this draft that when you were choosing between land/non-land picks, like the prismatic over jar, etc, etc. Similarly, narrow but powerful sideboard cards are also slightly more attractive, as a good way to make the extra picks improve the deck.
1:09:54 I feel like a possible line would have been yagw into bolt here (even if that play feels really weak). Saves you a bunch of life and land into goldspan is still live for next turn. This line is much stronger against any disruption I feel like.
LSV was so greedy in some of these matches, lol. “Land wins me the game so I guess I’ll tutor for Faithless Looting” 😅 Or the previous game where he could just play the Goldspan to hold off Ouliphant and buy another turn or two but just goes for the miracle top deck instead 😮
@LSV has there been any vintage team sealed or vintage sealed in general? Does the server support those options, or are they complicated with 6+ players... I suppose it would have a vod if so, but you never know what people are up to!
You actually had a different play to make match 3 game 2 against the Oliphant. If you play Goldspan dragon, you can chump with jUST the Dragon and take 3 from a 7 power Oliphant given they cast Eagles. Then you can can hope to win by drawing Memory Jar which is a kill with Bowmaster buy itself on that board, plus whatever you draw that could help. I think you even had ritual in the deck which means if you draw ritual you’d have enough mana to cycle the Tri land for another look at Jar and still have mana to cast it. Since you have a push in hand youd could potentially get ride of any cheap creature that they could cast alongside Eagles as well, and you’d have 1 mana left over out of 9 mana to cast push, though probably wouldn’t need it with 7 bowmaster triggers anyways. Now that I see they had Firebolt I guess it didn’t really matter, but they might actually still just cast eagles instead of give you two treasure tokens trying to kill the dragon
I'm no pro but it feels like normally heavy combo relies so much on wheeling cards that other people don't want, so in this format you're just leaving it all up to RNG if you go that route
Show and tell can be akward in matchups when your opponents can have better cards to cheat in. Sometimes even cheaper cards can be disastrous for you to help get into play for free
He was leaning reanimator but also didn't have a lot of it at that point - so it was an always solid pick in Goldspan vs a risky spec pick that can also seriously backfire in some matches. It might have played quite differently if he had a lot more in his reanimator package at the time of the pick.

Its funny but i think i prefer the 3 on 3 team drafts, mainly because you get to see every opponents deck , but its very close tbh

Rules q: with dreadhorde, can you attack first then entomb for seal or does there need to be a legal target when the attack trigger goes on the stack?
