You’re right, though it’s closer to being Natural Grixis than Moist Jund, as well. But I still like the shoutout to “Ben’s Moist Junk” aspect of it. Natural Grixis may not be the name though, I was thinking along those lines more and think “Growing Grixis” or “Living Grixis” might be better, although it is definitely more Dark Bug. Edit2: He took two more green cards by the end, so ignore the Growing Grixis part.
I really like how you have given enough info throughout your videos about your opponents, so we can get hyped when we hear about pairings, and team results, etc
What a sick draft. One of the more dominating decks I've seen in a while. In the last game, you could have turn 1 DT'd for sail into the west to draw 7 on turn 2 with a fastbond in play. I think that would have probably been even better than getting Minsc and Boo (which also probably would have won the game). The time spiral was definitely bait. Part of the reason I like Sail a bit better is if your opponent leaves 2 mana up, you can just pass and hold up stern scolding and sail, whereas if you play Minsc and Boo and get mana leaked, you're out of gas (at least until you draw your 6th land). In general, it feels like Sail into the west gets slightly underrated overall as a result of being a newer card and having a green pip. If it was timetwister, I think LSV would have thought to tutor for it, but the fact that Sail is instant speed is massive upside: it effectively makes it closer to a 4 mana time spiral, since you get to take your turn with all your mana untapped after drawing 7.
Given his deck, I think getting M&B into play is probably better than drawing 7 when we have the spiral in hand. Outside of the West, there's not much we want to Sail into besides M&B, Hexdrinker, and Time Walk.
@@roarmalf Chandra, Mystic Confluence, Goldspan Dragon, Pyrokinesis, Tamiyo, and Bala Ged Recovery all would have been great with how much mana he had. So he gets a chance to draw M&B *as well as* multiple other good cards while also further developing his mana and playing around mana leak, which he knows about. The chance to sail into time walk (plus 2 ways to recur!) means that there are huge high rolls possible where he wins on the spot.

I think Young Pyro was worth the pick instead of hating Maelstrom Pulse. It goes really well with time walk and the low CC instants/sorceries, and it does a good job blocking for your 'walkers against decks that need it since your creature count is low.
Busted value cards, busted acceleration, sneaking in extra lands with two-sided cards, Fastbond, draw 7s, DT, Time Walk, AND drawing exceptionally well.. yeah that's the good stuff.
I would love love love to see Magar of the Magic Strings in a cube setting, though it might need some support cards since it's kind of its own archetype. Spell-reanimator? Yes please!
This time of the year, the different start times for summer time in Europe and the US always bamboozles me - this year by thinking "why is LSV an hour early" ahaha. Consistency is king 👑
I know it's too weak for constructed Vintage, but is there any consideration for Storm's Wrath in the cube? It's a solid answer to Minsc & Boo without being too narrow.
The timespiral instead of the underworld breach was interesting. I never thought of timespiral being that good when played fairly ( no sheoldred, bowmaster...)
I missed it getting cut, but I would guess some players found it unfun in the vein time vault. It's a literal roll of the dice (or 2) who wins the game once you play it. I personally think it's fun. It certainly didn't get cut because it's not good enough and I can't imagine LSV was trying to make Boros weaker. So I looked through the recent changes. Daretti is out too. Definitely not a top pick, but not a last pick either. Could be trying to shake things up a little or change up some of the archetypes.
That Game 2 in round 1 is why I'm considering just cutting Fastbond. Most of the time you either have a 1 land fastbond hand or sit there with 9 land in play and nothing to cast, just so you can occasionally have a complete blowout like that. And when that *does* happen your opponent just sits there miserably thinking about how unlucky they are that their opponent drew the nuts. Similar to Welder (though Welder is much worse), I'm not convinced anymore that the stories of the time it went off are worth the tradeoff of the times it does actual nothing.
Taking fastbond and exploration seems like a good fit, but I feel like in a 40 deck format having 2 land out of hands accelerants and then the draw sevens AND then the pitfall of putting an extra land or two in, your just using half your deck to do nothing if you don't draw threats or if your threats are killed and your deck doesn't have anymore gas.
wasteland > pyro 17 lands is low for a lands deck??? U went 16. So few red cards brother. Wasteland is busted? Great draft LSV, as always pleasure to watch game
He has 2 spell lands that show as spells in the card count and an Oliphaunt. You could call that 18 lands or 19 lands depending on how you want too look at it.
"None of these cards *literally* win the game--" *draws demonic tutor off library* "--nevermind. Neeeevermind."
Moist and Boo is one of the best archetypes
Wet Hamster should be an archetype

29:11
Never not impressed by LSV's ability to manifest the exact 1/30 card he needs.
So Atemu in Yu Gi Oh is really LSV, I think I literally solved the millennia old case
1:05:55 as well
His secret trick is that he's constantly predicting what his best draw might be lol, you do that every time and you're occasionally going to be right.
He did it twice this game
Just wait till you see Match 3 Game 2. Lol
I can't believe you full on heart-of-the-cards'ed twice this draft. 29:11 and 1:09:54.
I say this a lot, but if you know what card to call for, you'll hit it more often.
I thought I missed a brainstorm or scry when he called sail so casually 😂
The shuffler algorithm is a paid actor
It really is like the gods of magic are rewarding him for knowing his best out at any given moment
Time and time again Hexdrinker just solos these drafts.
Such a good card.
I still remember when 2/1 for 1 mana was so OP they added huge downsides…😂🤣
@@bumpasaurus487 Right? Remember when they added Savannah Lions in 8th edition and it was a big deal.
More Dark Temur than Moist Jund, lol.
Finally, someone was brave enough to say it.

Grassy Grixis is right there
Izzet golgari though? I am just not sure.
Izzet Golgari though? I am not sure but it seems to be.
The fan base has been here through thick and thin. This draft was one of the THIIIICC ones.
"Chain lightning is one of the best removal spells because it's also player removal"
Fastbond: underwhelming until, suddenly, it's not.
It is a broken card that very often underperforms.
It's a very high variance card: Some games it's a ham sandwich, other games it suddenly puts a dozen lands into play.
The daily upload always moistens my jund

Honestly you saw it coming a mile away 😂 the overall card quality of this deck was insane! Thx for the vod ❤️
Jund is much better served moist than dry.
These videos never fail to deliver!
This is an insane deck holy moly. What a fun watch. These draws were absolutely bonkers. Keep it up Luis!

Bala Ged recovery was a house. Both sides won multiple games. Making a convincing statement to stay in the cube.
Alternate Title: *LSV FINALLY Opens Time Walk!*
Bala Ged is a pretty sweet addition to add another regrowth to the cube

I definitely expected the breach with Time Walk already in our deck

Moist Jund is solid but did you consider Once upon a time walk?
That's actually not bad! 😆
Is it really "Moist Jund"??? I'm getting more of a "Grassy Grixis" or "Fiery Sultai" feel. Definitely not a "Dark Temur" deck though...

I saw you cut Comet from your cube recently, despite it being in the top 50 cards according to your video a few days ago. How come?

I’ve never seen someone say the card they want and it just keep appearing on the top of their deck as much as lsv did in this video lol
