It is not clear whether or not teferi bounce the crypt is better. You either take the 50/50 crypt flip or you take the chance that the opponent doesn’t have a burn spell or haster in the top 8 cards of their deck. I think LSV played it right, it is more likely that you are going to win countering a spell and taking the 50/50 than hoping your opponent doesn’t have a way to kill you. Didn’t matter in any case.
I'm curious if you asked BK what he took over the double mox? In situations like that, I think it would be good to reveal it at the end or something. It could be a good thing to generate discussion. I guess if it was a triple power pack then it wouldn't be much to discuss though.
Has anyone passed the double moxes twice, since it’s still guaranteed to have 1 on both teams, if there were 2 other stronger cards I could see this being funny getting a 4th pick mox, how far can they go, wheel the mox?
In the last game of round 2, mystic confluence probably was the best play anyway, and you clearly would've lost after that time spiral no matter what, but wasn't the "safe" option--if you counted on him drawing nothing--to just teferi and tuck your own mana crypt?
In team draft, if someone opens 2 mox + something else strong but more specific to their deck (Bowmasters, Entomb, etc) they can pass both Moxen since their teammate will end up with one of them.
I notice that lsv almost always makes decks that are very light on creatures. I have actually found that when i play vintage cube green stompy or reanimator works best since combo decks usually just aren't fast enough. This might just be a difference in skill level but is tehre a particular reason lsv almost always goes for creature light decks?
He likes combo and control a fair amount. It's not that unusual to see him with a creature deck, but today's deck was monoblue for a while, with blue not specializing in beaters. Splashing white for balance asks him to play less creatures, Kappa Cannoneer needs a mass of artifacts, Time Spiral needs a mass of mana--his powerful cards led him away from beatdown today.
I feel like you’re massively overrating Jace. I’m not even sure Jace is a good magic card in cube in its current iteration and it’s certainly not even in the same league as Palace Jailer.
Draftmancer is gas. Even when it doesn't run perfectly (which is almost never) you're able to make up for it. Shout out to draftmancer.
Love how you acknowledge bad plays. Mtg is a hard game
I didn't see the 'move the kaldra' line, completely forget it's an equipment sometimes
Same - “Crew, then move” was something I haven’t had come up yet.
Sitting here screaming MOVE THE KALDRA 😭😭😭
LSV take an artifact pick 1 and wonders if it's an Academy deck. Thats why I love this guy!
At 51:00 YOU COULD'VE PLAYED TEFERI AND BOUNCED THE MANA CRYPT nooooooooo
I saw it too - thankfully it didnt end up mattering he was dead to OP's burn
Yeah, i was just really excited about that line when I posted, and could be a relevant play in the future for someone else

UW control my favorite. Back in the old school days with absorb

I have been the lucky recipient of a p4 mox in a 3v3 where this happened yeah
Seeing LSV make mistakes actually endears me to magic. It makes me feel like less of a rubbish player. Not better than Louis by any means, but human
It's nice to see UW Cheons making an appearance on the channel.
Ah there it is, my daily fix
Good on you seeing the lethal before Chat swooped in.

he could have -3'd his crypt with the teferi
kinda feels like the other players dont want to cut artifacts anymore in the recent weeks, which i highly appreciate hehe
The Draftmancer hiccough fix reminds me of, and makes me miss, Rochester draft. I wonder how cubing would change with a Rochester-style draft.
Title says it all - love it already
50:00 you can teferi after time spiral and bounce your mana crypt
Daily learn from LSV draft crew and move equipment 😢
The double power principle still applies if you get it 2nd pick. So theoretically you could’ve taken time spiral 2nd pick and passed 2 power again
Let's be real it's LSV there's always gunna be a touch of artifacts
Extremely rare LSV missed win.
hakuna matata to you too
a-alrighty, welcome, to another vintage cube draft 4 on 4 here and wow what a pack!
whew thats better, this new intro didnt work for me
This would have been a good Time Walk deck.
What did BK pick that he passed 2 mox?
Probably ancestral

Nooooo :'( Teferri can tuck the manacrypt
Guys if you didn’t know scrubland does nothing in this deck.
Just in case you didn’t know just letting you know
Would you ever consider passing double power in pick 2?
its very unlikely to have another 2nd pick worth considering over mox. even less likely if you have the best one in the pack
*cheons

Just like with V Clique, it’s cripplingly sad to see that this is fair commentary in current Magic.
It seemed from the commentary that he knew Jace wasn't the correct pick, he just wanted to play it.
