I’m glad to see you’re including you son in your videos and he’s doing the work. Parenting done right. Well done you two. He is a wise guy. I wonder where he gets it from. Keep up the great work guys. 👍
I just installed this part for the 2nd time, in my wifes 2006 Trailblazer. Buy the AC Delco part, don't buy cheaper brand. They've updated the design on AC Delco.
Been there, done that. Mine didn't have any stored codes. Oil had leaked through the body of the VVT actuator and filled the weather pak connector. Since it was at 285k miles, I replaced it. No change in operation was noticed however.
I just changed my evap purge valve po440 I went through the top let me tell ya the clips that hold it on we’re the hardest part they used 2 different lock setup at least on the 02 they did They all seem to have the same issues ….However 263,000 can’t complain to… Next job is the driver side axle or diff seal luckily it looks like the outside one ..I seen the one where you did the inner man that was pretty slick ! The rear axle is making noise on mine sounds like a bearings but in ways it sounds like gears when you let off the gas a little it’s not as bad now that I sit here typing this maybe I should check the pinion nut probably ready to fall lol …. Keep them vids coming brother !
I had to do this in mine last year. I had to loosen the power steering pump pulley and belt to get the old one off. Kind of a pain but worth it. These things crap out over time.
This is a great video. I tried it and the installation went as planned. But I noticed today that some oil is leaking out from the black tip of VVT. Any thoughts on what may cause it?
Was changing out plugs and coils and noticed oil leaking from vvt. The problem was plugs and two coils but replacing vvt didn't make an apparent difference yet oil leaking from the end didn't seem normal 😅
I suppose replacing an engine is cheaper than buying a new car. Its all according to what you’re willing to work on and condition of the vehicle. Is it worth the time and money to you? I’ve kept two dead failblazers as parts trucks, and aside from taking up space in my driveway, it has been beneficial for me just in parts I’ve pulled to keep my good Failblazer on the road. 👍
@Daninator I have the same problem but I’m still getting the code for p0014 after replacing the vvt solinoid. What else would this be cause by? Can you help me please?

Thanks!
I remember when my pops taught me how to change the points, plugs & condenser back in the day! Miss you Pop💯🤗🥰🙏🏿
@ The Daninator
Great that your teaching your son.
I like when he said “situation under control”.
The boy keeps me on my toes, and laughing. I'm happy he's interested in cars!

Why did u have to change this part

Another great video! It's a great day when they learn how to fix their own vehicles!
Indeed!
I'll be doing this today, along with a new pigtail. Great (and fun) video!

Two dorks garage. 🤣 love ya bro! Nice fix. Glad to see A-A-Ron spinning some wrenches. 🤘😎
He was proud of the scratches on his arms 😂👍
"Two dorks garage" made me laugh out loud!🤣
@@TheDaninator battle stripes. Wear them with pride!
Thanks for sharing this was very helpful
Bro like your channel I have a trailblazers and I learn a lot from your channel thanks

Simple procedure really 😂 😂
Now when the cam fails from said faulty vvt at 160k , we’ll see simple lol, thanks gm
I did the same work but the light doesn't go out, should I do something else? thank you
Rub some oil on that o-ring before installing
As always great videos and instructions. By the way you know how fix the timming chain when is replaced in Trailblazer?
Haven’t had to change a timing chain…yet
The VVT only applies to the Exhaust valves. VVT solenoid does not adjust Intake valves.
Have same code and symptoms. Thanks
Does a faulty vvt valve cause low oil pressure light to illuminate?
Good job fellas
Dan, do you think that it is worth keeping and fixing an older trailblazer even after it dies ?

Thank you for an excellent video. Didn't know what to do until I watched your video.
Glad it helped
I never knew those trucks had inline 6 cylinder engines.
Indeed they do. 😎👍
And the SS version had V8 power.
Brooklyn is watching 👀
A engine flush typically clears the code before a oil change.
Thanks was really helpfull
Did the code came back up ?
Naaa that check wallet shirt 🔥🔥🔥
Nice work. Video links didn’t show up though
Interesting 🤔
good job
Nice video
How do I clear code ?
I'm certain this didn't fix the issue lol it's almost never the VVT solenoid
Did you say Chevy FailBlazer? 😂
Ever talk to yourself while you're spinning bolts?
@Daninator I have the same problem but I’m still getting the code for p0014 after replacing the vvt solinoid. What else would this be cause by? Can you help me please?
I be spinning the bolt saying why dont this "B" come off.
A little push 20 min later it slides right out 🤣
What's the young kids name again? Lol
