I've been looking for an action camera I can punch. Great review!
Just bought this camera when price dropped to $200 and I like the fisheye wide angle as it will compliment my Contour cameras which offer 135 and 170 degrees. Think of it as a specialty tool, which will use windsurfing where I really need that extra wide angle. Should also be a nice fit on my sailboat too.

Hello, I’m running IOS 11.2 , and the last firmware for tg tracker, also the last oi track app, I can import the log and the video and see the video overlay in the app and when I click export to save the video so I can share it after, it s not working. Always it says “export failed” , I have an iPhone 7... What can be done ?

I have the issue that the footage is quite grainy, and at the edges even blurry. I use it to record a hole pitch and then zoom in a bit to cut away the no action areas. Anyone else with this issue? I'm recording at FHD and 30FPS as i dont need any slowmotion. I even record with the front cover off to reduce any distortions caused by a dirty lens

can you turn off the fish eye effect?
That's a result of the wide-angle lens, which is permanently attached to the camera. You can reduce the effect somewhat by activating the digital stabilization function, which crops the image slightly, but it won't completely eliminate the wide-angle effect.

I thought you needed to change the lens cover to the water lens but I see you didn't do that.
You do need to change it, along with the mode. The camera is great underwater, I use it scuba diving.
If it wasn't for the fisheye distortion this would be ok unfortunately its not ok.

You are supposed to change the lens before putting it in water, aren't you?
You don't have too. You might be getting it confused with the TomTom Bandit which you do have to change the lens.

The 204 degree lens has way too much fisheye. Too bad because it's a cool camera other than that

I forget why, but you never want to zoom in using a dedicated wide angle. Looks like crap.
I would buy this camera in a second if there was a way to turn off all that wide mode distortion ridiculousness. Sad because I REALLY wanted this camera.

Charles Shawn...nope sorry you can't turn it off..it makes no difference which lens you use..the last poster is wrong....tho I do own this camera and in my own opinion...its awesome :)
I own this camera. The lens covers make no difference. One is for under water one is not. You can, however, switch to underwater mode which narrows the perspective a little. It's a sick little camera!

That fuckin distortion... it's 2017 why can't they built a lens without a distortion, or at least very minimal distortion. Or at least acceptable distortion, this action cam has a lot of distortion.

Definitely has some 'rolling shutter' artifacts, but it's just a consumer action camera -- not a 'cinema' camera
I was ready to purchase the camera until I learned there is no way to get rid of the fish eye. No sale
unlike me. i knew what the fish eye effect is like thanks to youtube but still i bought it and now its left inside my cabinet. not touch it since 2 months ago. dont understand why many of my action cameras do not have this effect at all and why Olympus cannot make a camera without this effect
