That’s Kevin Richardson, as folks note. The Lion Whisperer. He is bonded with them in a way no others can be. In fact, he’s managed to bond with hyenas also. As well as other cats. He had a very unique talent and ability to be incredibly integrated with the animals at his sanctuary. No one else can be with them the way he is. And they do still hunt on their enrichment walks. Meg and Amy did a few kills (porcupine) while they were all out walking. They treat him as one of them. There is one photo of him walking with one of the males. I think Bobcat. And Kevin looks like a 6YO toddler walking next to him. Gabby, Bobcat’s crazy and mischievous sister, is always running and jumping on Kevin. Even he says she will give him whiplash and other injuries simply from her force. He’s so bonded with them that when his one lion, Thor, was struck by lightning one night and killed, Kev said he woke up in the middle of the night and knew something bad had happened. It’s always amazing to see his videos. They are great. They now have cheetah cubs they took in, which they plan to release. So, he’s not bonding with them. But they are the cutest little things.
@@yeti4954 watch his content, not only does he understand their behavioural traits, he recognises their temperament and knows when to and not to interact with them. He has his ask series and answers alot of these questions, plus not any average Joe can be like him so you "Would be stupid to attempt this without the same knowledge and experience as Kevin has".

@@John-bw2vr almost every big cat has retractable claws, well almost. but lions for sure have retractile claws, which is why the lion whisperer has a lot less scars than you think he would, or their just not visible

Every time I see a Lion, I am still amazed at their size. Just look at how big that males paw is compared to the mans head in the last clip. Such awesome animals.

When I was snorkeling in a salt/freshwater lagoon about an hour south of Playa Del Carmen a few years ago a manatee swam up beside be and I literally almost shit myself until I realized it was just a giant water cow lol

These animals are beautiful! It's so fascinating to see interactions between animals.
Except for the great white shark. Gives me the willies. He frantically swam to the surface so it probably thought he was prey. Even when he looked back under at the end it was right there checking him out, not the fish. It's clear the shark was debating whether to latch onto him or not.
@@galeptGreat white shark INCLUDED, smh… 🤦♀️ if someone entered your domain suddenly I think anyone would check it out, the shark was “on edge” to protect itself in case the diver attacked him first. The Great white shark encounter was jaw-dropping and awesome just like the rest of the encounters, you probably watch Jaws and instantly think: “sharks are foul creatures!! They should be exterminated!!” 🙄

The baby gorilla was pretty precious with his laughing, and the male & female lions hugging their human at the end was pretty precious too. It's funny how an apex predator will turn into a big baby when they see their human buddy. So cute..., wouldn't want to mess with them unless he was there to intercede should thing go wrong.

I really liked this video because we can see how the animals are in their habitat. Almost a month ago I was at my boyfriend’s house and I was almost passing out. That was the fist time I saw this video and I already felt a bit better.
