I use this camera underwater and with lighting it takes decent video. Plus, it's much easier to read the digital screen when underwater compared to the go pro.

Does the LCD screen flip towards you? So I bought this camera! It's decent for the price..no audio with slow motion..the built in light shuts off after 45 seconds, then you have to manually turn it back on which is annoying..but you can't beat it for the price! I got mine for $199.99

This is a contender for a B or C roll camera or vlogging camera. I thought of the YI cameras, and no way on those. The Go Pro maybe but this TG-4 hits most of what I want in a small camera I take anywhere and not worry about it getting wet and so on. If this camera has the quality like say my E-10. Almost 20 years and still working great, I will be impressed. I think i am going to get one.

I have the TG-870, which is an awesome and affordable vlog camera, and have to agree that the Olympus Share app is the most horrible and useless camera app I've seen on any platform. I'm guessing the Tracker has the same stabilization as the TG-870, which I ended up disabling because it makes me feel drunk when I watch the stabilized videos.
05:38 So I guess, since you're having to use the mirror, the LCD viewfinder does not twist over to view from the front of the camera? That would have sold it for me!!

Hi. I looks all footage done in wide POV, and fish eye is visible. How does it look like with narrow POV? Is effect reduced? What resolution are available with narrow angle ? And what about stabilization - did you check it during walking?

+Hunting and fishing in Cyprus You can certainly mount it to a shotgun. It doesn't come with a mount for that purpose. But you could do a google search to see if someone currently makes a shotgun mount with a 1/4-20 thread.
Found that using the underwater setting with the underwater lens narrows the field of vision this reducing the fish-eye effect. I use the underwater setting exclusively regardless if filming above or below water for photos and videos without the fish-eye effect.

Just bought The Stylus TG Tracker Spent many hours recording to find that when I playback the recording is upside down even the demonstration in the shop what's gone wrong ?
In the specifications it's mentioned it has a recording limit of 29 minutes. Does that mean the recording stops after 29 minutes, or does it just make 29 minute chunks ? On the motorcycle I want to keep recording long drives without having to have to start it every 29 minutes...

i own a Gopro 4 Black. Now i can have this cam for $140 New. I am thinking about to sell my Gopro and get the TG-Tracker just for the fakt that it records Depth. (I am a scuba diver) What is your opinion. Is it worth to switch?

Question: are any of these stabilizing systems anything other than digital processing - another reviewer (who looks like paid garbage) said it had 5 axis stabilization which would mean optical not digital stabilization.
Personally used this camera on my recent vacation to Antigua it felt not convenient at all, go pro better option for sure. The good thing may be that camera able to transfer videos via wi fi which takes awful amount of time but other than that whole interface does not make any sense All those good features are useless because to access them on the go almost impossible and inconvenient
+Christopher O'Grady It is digital stabilization. But you do have to realize this a consumer camera and most people don't use Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro, to make the stabilization correction in post. So the in-built stabilization will matter to a lot of people.

I love my tg tracker. video light, flip screen..time lapse..its all so easy and good quality....4k..water proof..so good.
how long can tg tracker film timelapse? i am eyeing for brinno tlc 2000 but if tg tracker can shoot timelapse for hours maybe i will get tracker

action cam without housing is less leak proof than camera in housing. thise seals on the battery / mem card door if they fail the camera is dead

I don't believe it does. The fish eye distortion exists and can only be removed in post.
