I came through Nebraska Wednesday and Thursday on my way to Denver and back home again. I looked for y’all but didn’t see the three of you. Ride safe and enjoy the Rally. My big ride this weekend will be to mom and dad’s for dinner tonight. It’s a big trip, 10-12 miles round trip but the chow is always worth it. Then back in the truck for California on Tuesday morning. Love your videos. I live vicariously through you. 👍

It's been awhile. Glad to see yer headed to Sturgis. We're not able to go financial has kicked our butt this year. We was in Omaha a few years ago on a project there, while we was there we had our seat worked on and they did great. They some awesome bikes and cars there. My next project is in Utah which has great riding in north east. So anyway just stopped to say hey and enjoy the ride.

That first gas stop was at Trotters in Broken Bow. I used to stop there often with the Big truck. It's the last place with food for a long ways when heading west.

I looked at your last video about your E-bike. Great choice. We spend winters in Hilton Head SC, and all I ride down there is an E-bike. Great for the bike trails down there. I only ride my Honda CTX700 motorcycle in upstate New York. Love our scenic rides up here though. Ride safe.👍

We took highway 23 to 283, then highway 2 up through alliance. Decent roads and scenery!

I’m moving to sturgis / rapid in a couple weeks. Was really hoping to run down for the rally and my birthday but I’m just too busy so I gotta hope I make it another year then I’ll live there. Wife’s already living in the new house while I finish prepping the sale of the old house. Killing me not being there but such is life.

I follow of both you and I'm from Ohio. I've also ridden to Stugis from Ohio and I can tell you the scenery is far better on the way Sturgis than it is leaving.

Rode across Nebraska coming back from the black hills some years ago (went before the rally) got stung in the belly doin 80. Yelled at the wife damn I think somebody shot me!!! Pulled over and lifted my shirt up an pulled a HUGE ass stinger out of my stomach. My buddy said well that’s more exciting then the scenery!!
I'd rather be in rural Ne or Ks than any state east of the Mississippi.
Sparsely populated with tough people farming and ranching on the rolling prairie.

We road thru the storm last Friday. We pulled over after we out ran it and had a come to Jesus moment
I rode up from North Platte on Saturday, almost cold after being cooked for the past few months. Rained on Sunday on the way back. I hope you take Jess to Smith Falls by Valentine! That will redeem Nebraska for her..😄
We didn't have time to do that, but maybe someday we'll take her there! if I can ever convince her to come back to Nebraska 😂

Oh yeah. Already looked it up. Little over 1400 miles one way.
For the cruise control on your bike it could be some corrosion in the switch or corrosion on the ground wire I’d start there before having to get a new ecu
Yeah I agree. I'll dig into it when we get home . Hopefully it's just a little corrosion or was just a glitch
@@LifeontheBlacktop if it’s just corrosion get dielectric grease to put on the connectors and if it’s a loose ground things like this can happen

I came, I saw, I conquered!
My 2011 Roadglide Ultra did the same thing. Pulled in to Harley dealer, talked to tech and he told me the contacts in resume/set switch get a little corrosion on them sometimes. He handed me a can of PB Blaster spray penetrant and had me spray in the slot above switch. Did that and worked it a few times. Wala no more issues. This was in fall of 2021. Hope this helps.

We got stuck out there one year and it was in the triple degrees some dude turned us on to wet vests soak in water and ride like ac is on

I watch a lot of bike videos and In most of them, they show numerous humongous meals. I put weight on just watching these, and have to go on a Carnivore Diet immediately afterwards. LOL🤷♂😊

I have a friend in Saskatchewan and it looks pretty similar up there too. We chose a poor longitude to live on lol
@@LifeontheBlacktop Agreed. I'm ok with hills, trees, lakes, etc. Dirt and weeds are no fun.
I think if the brake switch makes contact it will not work. I had a bad rear brake switch. I was on a trip when failed.
Same thing happened to me last summer. It wouldn't release so my brake light stayed on which wouldn't allow Cruise to engage. I have become dependant on Cruise control and will do whatever it takes to keep it working. It has saved me so many speeding tickets (yes, I sometimes get distracted gawking at the scenery).
That happened to my buddy awhile back. Took us forever to figure out what was going on. One day I just noticed his brake light kept flickering on and off and it dawned on me what was up .
