My grandfather was a Kansas wheat farmer. He died 53 years ago. He would have loved watching this operation. Thanks for reminding us where our groceries really come from!😊
Thank you. We love the farming community out there and we were excited to have the opportunity to film this in such a unique fashion. Glad you enjoyed it.
You know, we all need to be so thankful to the farmers and ranchers that provide our food. It was cool watching the work being done. I loved seeing Orion again. Safe travels wherever you two go next.
"PONY EXPRESS" We stayed here 2 years ago and plan on going back in June on my way out to the 2024 West Coast HDT Rally. Down the hill from your site were the big rig sites. The lady that runs the place had just had 4 spots leveled and paved with 50AMP. FYI the food here is great. FYI Hamilton Missouri is the capital of Quilting. Home of the Missouri Star Company.
You both are an inspiration, I'm a 44 year old Dad with 2 kids and 2 step kids all under 16 and already find myself looking forward to this sort of life and having grandkids. I'm glad to see you're back in voyager! Safe travels.
Wow, no grass growing under your feet!!! Surprised you don’t want to rest a bit after the big Alaska trek. Love the cherry cabinets in Orion. And that farm is gorgeous, thanks for the wonderful harvest footage.
We are incredibly fortunate to be able to live this lifestyle and to share it with everyone. It's memories for us and our family and a way for us to give back to the community. Excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
David, your thump thump, reminded me of my dad. He was always doing the same thing. Especially when my grandmother would be in the way of the car. It was always a joke with us kids, and never within earshot of my grandmother or my mom.
Loved the lake reflection @ 3:40 on your camper…that is calendar worthy! Stopped the video to take a long look. Our 3 daughters all married farmers and so the farming segment looks beautifully familiar to us here in mid Canada. PS our daughters all had a huge learning curve being farmers wives but they have adjusted so well. They had each to cry with when needed in the early stages 😅 a beautiful family you have! 🇨🇦 ❤
Thank you, Yvonne. I thought that reflection shot was just so peaceful and perfect. Glad you liked it. We've met so many farm families out there and they are all so passionate about their lifestyle/work culture. It's a neat area. Glad your daughters got over the curve together.
I am 78 and my husband and i we going to do what you guys are doing .we drove truck for 17 years to gather then i drove by my self for 10 years after he passed away .So i watch you guys love watching you.
You two have had some grand adventures the last six months. I bet it feels good to be home. I’ve really been enjoying your channel. Thanks for sharing ❤
It's good to see Spacecraft isn't different than any other RV dealer. Had the thing for 6 mos and it wasn't ready when you show up. Thanks for being truthful.
There is a difference but we were a little surprised too. We were hoping that it would have been done. But... we were prepared for that...experience. Thanks for watching.
An amazing video. With lots of different things. The farming part was the best part. I grew up on a farm and that is where I still am. I love the quiet peaceful life and the fresh air and gorgeous sunlight. There is no place like being on a wonderful farm.
Great job, so happy we found you both, Alaska was so awesome, we been there 20 years ago, alot of memories, never forgotten it, love how happy you both are, thank you love your videos 😊
Just when you relax thinking everything is fine, some happens that you don’t expect. That’s how you know you are alive. Can’t wait to see what the future brings. Happy trails to you, until next week …
I sure enjoy your channel. You guys represented Alaska sooo well. I’m kinda of missing it!! Lol. But looking forward to seeing your new adventures too. Thanks for another Excellent podcast you two. Big hugs to all❤️🙌
Glad you enjoyed Alaska. We did too! So amazing... and the Arctic... wow. But we have more planned on the big rig so we'll see what's next! Thank you 😊
Enjoy watching your adventures. I grew up near emporia, on a farm, just north of hutch. Was in the fields at 8 years old, running combines . Back all the time.
Hi guys... We ran that same road I 29 so many times... We could probably do it with our eyes closed... All those wind farms you saw.... we've been there.. Grandbabies... Oh my goodness they're so cute... Take tons of pictures because they grow up fast... Our grands are in their 20s and they were just 2 yesterday... What did you find out about your generator... I know you're glad to be back Rollin... It was really nice seeing you guys at the rally... Thanks for the video and stay safe...J&A
Thanks, J&A. Great to see you at the rally. Generator just needs batteries, it was a low amp situation. Good voltage but no amps. Pretty cool being in the wind farms. We toured the facility in Palm Springs which was really neat. Safe travels and see you on the road.
Thanks again! And very good for you to get superb family reunion time and also reunited with Orion and Voyager!! So nice to follow you and thanks again!!

Crazy journey, right!! Loved it all!! Two things. 1) A great Harvest Host is Pal’s Brewing in North Platte Nebraska. Stayed there twice! The pizza there is awesome!! 2) Next time, if you ever pass through West MI on your journey, get ahold of us! We’d love to show you Lake MI!! Thanks for taking us with you to Alaska!!
Wow, thank you, Maryann! We try to show our travels in a way that we'll enjoy the memories and we're excited that you do too! Glad you're along on the journey.
Welcome back! We have stayed at the Fairgrounds at Hutchinson. We enjoy your UA-cam videos! We’re always excited when you stay or visit places we have been!
I was both locked in & out of my 4 day old truck camper, was given a tension wrench and rake by lock smith while awaiting new lock set. Took 2 days for new lockset to arrive, and now capable of opening locks in less than 3 minutes. Basically the spring loaded cover for keyway snapped into locked position, cover meant to keep weather out.
This was a very satisfying episode, I think because I couldn't help but think of the explorers and pioneers that traveled and crossed the mighty Missouri and settled this huge country.
Hi folks 🙂 we’ve just watched you guys reunite with Orion and voyager. Quite an emotional reunion by the looks of it, and amazing to see you’re grandkids again 🥰 great episode we really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what you’re up to next 👌 Ohh and btw David you’ve inspired me to buy a drone so I’m looking forward to getting some footage of our time on the road too. Cheers 🍻 All the best from scotland 🏴 Blair & Mel
I hope we have inspired you in a good way, Blair &Mel! I've had several drones and DJI had been the best one so far. More expensive but worth it. It was emotional to get back in Orion but oh, so nice! Safe travels to you guys.
I loved North Dakota while I lived there. I have been to Bowbells several times. I was in the Air Force at Minot. Great place. I really like your videos
Our Friends Rick & Denise Parker (SOARING TOGETHER) UA-cam channel were at the HDT rally. Hopefully we’ll be there next year. Another great video guys.
Thank you. We'll be there next year doing some presentations and then back to the farm. Hopefully you'll be able to make it. I know Denise & Ricky have made it several years now.
Hey. We go to Partridge, KS nearly every year and camp on the family farm. Really enjoy the area in the fall. We'll be in Hutch this October for the rally. Thanks for watching the channel.
LOVED the editing and the music while corn was being taken off. I grew up in the thumb of MI and this isn’t new to me but what always impressed me was how the truck and combine worked together!!
That is awesome! Thank you. We spent a week in Great Basin and I hiked to the summit of Wheeler Peak. Neat place, very unexpected diversity of the area.
Welcome back to the lower 48. Who knows where Partridge, KS is? I do. I have family there in the Mennonite community. Thank the farmers, always. Family so in Huntsville. Smaller world with internet. Safe travels and God’s blessings.
I'm so glad you're both back. You had your Whataburger fix! We live in Middle Tennessee, and we have Whataburgers now. This Texan we know said they are better out there. Can't wait to see the upcoming videos.
So you’re from KS. My family is from Concordia and Columbus KS. Funny. I will be starting my full time RV journey this spring in a much small rig. I’ve enjoyed watching your channel though. Hope you’ve had fun with your family.
Another very enjoyable video. I love your storytelling and that you both are always so calm and joyful. Glad you bring us along on your journey. Thank you both! By the way, I love Sondra’s logic… oh darn, I guess I’m just going to have to go back to the scrap book store! ❤
I thought that you guys might park for awhile and rest but you both must be energy bunnies that just keep going and going. What an amazing trip and happy to see that you are off on more adventures. That harvesting process was great to watch. Those cows will love that!! Safe travels!!
😆 Bill, we have a few things to do before the holidays and the family reunion was one we wanted to participate if at all possible. Glad we did... and there's more on the horizon. Thank you for watching the channel as always.
Thank you so much 😀, Louis. Wow! Very unexpected for the channel to be at 30K already. We never expected this but appreciate everyone who watches the channel and is part of the community.
Good to see you two back in Orion. It’s always good to spend time with family and reunite with friends. There was a lot of adventure in this one video…one of your best!
Thanks, Keenan. We'll try to slow down a bit for the holidays but then we're off for the winter out west and more adventures...oh, we may have a few more this year! LOL
Great drone footage of the harvesting. I knew about silage since there are so many dairy farms in central California, but I'd never watched them harvest it. Very interesting.
Ok, so you're very familiar with it but had never seen it from that view. I was amazed when I shot that with the choreography required to efficiently cut it and transport it. Thanks
Thanks for the silage explanation! I was fascinated by the harvest process - but was going to be embarrassed to have to ask WHAT they were harvesting. Welcome home - welcome back to Orion/Voyager!! Safe travels on the next piece of your journey!
Thanks, Mary. Great to be back home. The truck felt so good to be driving it again. Don't be embarrassed, I had zero idea of what silage was or how they made it! It was amazing to see, I had fun with the drone. Appreciate your time watching the channel as always.
Surprised not to see Orion hooked up to on of those silage trailers. Thought the initial pictures of the corn was too green to harvest till I say the silage cutter.
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed it and subscribed. We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
Nice to see all renewed appreciation for your home. 6 months away Navigator probably blew some black smoke before forgiving you for all that abandonment.
This is such a great reminder of where our food comes from, and why US and Canada are know as “the attic” of the world…with other places of course! Great to see you safe and sound back from your adventures up there in Alaska! Have a great winter down there somewhere warm! Thank you for the great videos of Alaska and the North! Remi, Québec Canada.
Thanks, Remi! We loved it north of the border but winter was nipping at our heels so time to fly south. It is amazing how much food is produced in the heartland of North America on both sides of the border.
We looked at Class A's, but a 5th wheel seemed more like a home. Safety was a factor so a semi-truck is definitely safer than a motorhome. Plus an HDT will last longer than a pickup truck needing fewer repairs since they are designed for the miles with a load. It's not an easy way to RV but we enjoy it. Thanks for watching the channel
Hi you two, a tip for locks & hinges vegetable oil works faster & best. I have been doing this since a friend told me 20 yrs ago. My family came home last week to no squeaky doors. Love watching you. Stay safe!
That was a great video! You did so much in just 38 minutes! 😂. Y’all put in some serious mileage. So fun watching the farm process and I’m glad you explained it. And finally, love Huntsville, I spend a lot of time their for work. Continued safe travels.
Enjoyed the travels through Kansas. We are Kansas City natives and recognized the highways signs. Went to Hutch and recommend Strataca the salt mine. While you were traveling to your family reunion Darlene commented excitedly I know that road! If you would have rolled a little further southwest you would have been in my family’s farm country, Pratt, Iuka and Byers. Enjoyed the farm sequences. The size of farm operations and equipment is just over the top. My family are corn farmers of about 2500 acres of irrigated corn.
Thanks, Ron. Many years ago, I lived in Kansas City too and always enjoy going back... especially now that they have some Whataburgers and Pizza Ranch! Hutch is nice and we've been to Strataca which is cool. We visited Linsborg too. Thank you
Glad to see you stopped to get that Whatabuger I was shocked to see your stop in Aberdeen you were right down the streat from my Mom and Brothers Place.
I just wanted to say I gave u a thumbs up because of the thump/thump joke at the beginning and your wife sayIng that was awful !! LOL PS- I did Injoy the rest of the video as well ! Happy Trails !!!

Yes, always good to stay grounded and appreciate the people who provide for us. It's great being in Orion again! Thank you for watching.

Nice. Great area and super quiet. Love Hwy 60 across Missouri. ❤️
Nothing better than the smell of loading silage in the winter. Thank you for reminding the folks the process of making beef.
Thanks, Dan. Love the smell of silage and the process is really cool.
You both are an inspiration, I'm a 44 year old Dad with 2 kids and 2 step kids all under 16 and already find myself looking forward to this sort of life and having grandkids. I'm glad to see you're back in voyager! Safe travels.
Thanks, Richard. It's a great lifestyle but did require the proper mindset. Wow! 4 children, hang in there! Enjoy this time!
Wow, no grass growing under your feet!!! Surprised you don’t want to rest a bit after the big Alaska trek. Love the cherry cabinets in Orion. And that farm is gorgeous, thanks for the wonderful harvest footage.
😆 and RV has wheels and we like to keep them rolling but we will have a little downtime...sort of...😅😆
You guys are so blessed to be living this beautiful lifestyle . I can only dream of being able to do this one day. ❤
We are incredibly fortunate to be able to live this lifestyle and to share it with everyone. It's memories for us and our family and a way for us to give back to the community. Excited to have you along on the journey. 😊

LOL
I miss the beautiful scenery.! But it is always great to be home!
Agreed. But we'll have more down here. 😊
Loved the video! Three months full time for us….still learning, but enjoying every minute!
Thank you. You're just getting started! Glad to hear it's fun for you. This lifestyle is great but not for everyone. Safe travels
Thanks
HAPPY THANKSGIVING YOU TWO!
Thank you! Happy Turkey day!
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
You're welcome. 😄😎
LOL, Rod, that would have been a sight to see. Voyager (truck) hooked up in the field! Thanks for the comment and watching the channel.
@@bigtruckbigtravels oops, knew what I wanted to say, but didn't. Hope you are finding the 70's as your average temperatures
Just discovered your videos, love them!!!! Subscribed.
I think it's acting really good so we don't leave it again! Lol. Thanks for the comments. 😃
Interesting, but was curious about the beginnings of Orian. How you decided you needed something so big vs a Class A, how you picked him out, etc.
Welcome home!
Thank you, Steve. Good to be home.
You are moving right along. The Sioux City park is fairly new. Old campground taken out by a flood just a few years ago. Nice place.
Thanks for the info! Ok that makes sense because it seemed in really good shape with large sites.
Glad to see you back in the big guy!
Us too! We're really enjoying it.
Your uncle has a beautiful farm. Great place to boondock.
Thank you. Beautiful boondocking spot and so quiet... except when the coyotes get noisy or the raccoons fight! 😆
Hi you two, a tip for locks & hinges vegetable oil works faster & best. I have been doing this since a friend told me 20 yrs ago.
My family came home last week to no squeaky doors. Love watching you. Stay safe!
Great tip! Thank you. I'll have to try that next time.
That was a great video! You did so much in just 38 minutes! 😂. Y’all put in some serious mileage. So fun watching the farm process and I’m glad you explained it. And finally, love Huntsville, I spend a lot of time their for work. Continued safe travels.
Thanks so much!! Huntsville is a very cool area and really growing! We were definitely busy over 38 minutes!
Bet it was so nice to get back into you big house
wow! Very nice indeed. We had forgotten how nice it was to be back in it. Not sure we'll be getting back into Curiosity anytime soon! LOL 😊🤣
@@bigtruckbigtravels we started watching you guys at the start of the trip to Alaska. This was our first time seeing much of Orion
👍 Thanks for taking us along. Glad to see Orion again!
Thank you. Us too!
Wow! Didn’t know you had family here! I’m in Derby (outside Wichita) loved seeing Kansas. Yay!!
So cool! Small world. We love being on the farm.
Thank you
