Hello again! You did change the channel name👍👏!!! Hope that will result in more subs and views. You have a very nice content, so well balanced with great photography in between the reno work. Stunning drone filming and soft background music. All the best! From Göteborg, Katarina
Hey there! Derrick says Minnesota is colder than here near the arctic because we are on the coast… and yes we gain about 5 minutes of sunlight in the AM and 5 in the PM now the sun is still peaking over the horizon at 10:30 pm already
Great video. What a journey of discovery you are both on as you slowly peel away the layers of your new home. The idea of framing the foundation wall paper is brilliant. What a great reminder of the history the house has. It’s nice to see a man who not only doesn’t mind doing laundry but also appreciates it needs to dry and even cobbles together a washing line for inside. Looking forward to continuing the discovery of old and new in your new home. ❤
Hello from New Zealand. the other end of the world. I have been enjoying your reno so far. your two work together well. Great to see the original wall paper. We have renovated an old villa here over the last 5 years. finish one project at a time and you will see results quicker.
Hi Jackie! Yes right now we started 5 things at once and it’s a complete chaos hehe. We try to finish them all with the main focus on the wall and afterwards we really need to do just one project at a time. That’s also why i haven’t released a new video yet. One project at a time from start to finish per video 😅👌 Greetings from the other side of the world 🌍🇸🇪
Wow, the broker and the plumbing.... The porch will be amazing, they're called groventré in swedish and it will come in super handy up there. Good luck and keep on, were rooting for you!
Lovely to see another video and the progress you are making. We will be visiting Sweden in May to drive around a look whether it is a place for us. Hoping to do 4 days of driving but I don't think we will be going so high up north to experience the 24hrs of sunshine. Good luck
Hi Michal, that sounds exciting! Initially we were thinking to explore more places before deciding where to settle. We just happened to really like the north so we never looked anywhere else 😅. The south has a milder climate to that’s great if you don’t like the extreme cold winters. Also it’s a little closer to the rest of Europe. I hope you will find what you are looking for 😊
Hei Mimi and Derrick! I was glad to see that you kept the old door; also that you found old surfaces from walls and roof. Summer on the video looks Beautiful and sunny, good for the renovation.
Thanks for the video. You two are doing a good job, the problem is that the more you tear down the more jobs you find, but you're young and skilful so you'll probably do just fine. I hope you can fix hot water for both the shower and the kitchen, it makes life much easier to live. I have lived my whole life (68 years) in northern Sweden and grew up in Kiruna with the midnight sun, so for me it is completely normal.
Hi Jan! Thank you for your comment 😊 yes the more we take out, the more work we find. But hey, thats just more content to make more videos! 😄 Kiruna must be beautiful. We have been so busy with the house that we haven’t taken time yet to explore. But we plan to this coming summer 😊
When you first showed the house I thought that looks quit ok on the inside but now…. Ovdear, you find problems and work everywhere! Well it makes good video’s! Looking forward to the next one!
Hi Nicole, yes the work is everywhere 😂 the more we take out, the more problems we find. But yes exactly, just more video material hehe! We certainly will stay busy for a long time 😊
Subscribed, and looking forward to see the results! I grew up on Jannevägen and lived there under my childhood. It was always sad to see that house abandoned.
Thanks! Our journey is just at the beginning 😄 we heard stories on the house from some neighbors but there’s so much mysteries around it as well. I think it’s such a pity to see beautiful houses sitting abandoned and slowly fading away
Noorwegen is adembenemend!
Great stuff really cool videos keep up the great stuff hope you are doing well out in Sweden ! Say hi to Derrick for me haven’t spoken to him in a long time ! Jack
@komocka there were 4 pretty big bushes but 90% of them were dead. Honestly I was surprised to see the little stumps grow back at all. Hopefully they will do better this coming summer
A gas water heater is available. that just needs to be connected to the cold water and then has water with a temperature of 38-56 degrees. Kosan gas center they can be bought for a good price of DKK 2000. a distributor can be fitted so that you can have a shower and use it in the kitchen. Have it even in an allotment garden
Hi! Yes we’ve looked into on demand water heaters. However there is not LNG available here so we would have to buy canisters of LPG. We have installed a standard water boiler for the time being as our electrical service is very old and can’t handle a large amperage demand on it😊
Gas is not a big thing in Swedish households, especially not when you have electricity. Gas gadgets are basically used in summer houses, boats etc where you don't have access to electricity.
Hi! What part of the video are you talking about? The window above the stairs is a little smaller than all the other ones but it is not upside down. They are pretty straight forward and only open one way (the handle is at the bottom)
@@Projectsweden 18:10 My bad, I had been awake for too long watching your videos, I see now that the handle is on the outside and the window have been flipped. It just looked weird with the big gap upwards! Same with the window on the left I just noticed!
Well done with the reno so far! The windows were really horrible... Aww. Too bad you tore down the beautiful stretched inner ceilings. They're really a work of art to create and quite rare to find in such good shape. 😥 But, yes, it is your home now and it isn't to everyone's taste. 😊❤
Hi yes we took them down because they were hanging down about 15cm from the amount of paint that was on them over the years and everything had mold growing on it and behind it.. we plan the rebuild to be modern mixed with the original wood..
So nice to see that someone's caring about all the neglected and old houses in my country. A lot of work, but hopefully worth it! Cheers/Johan
Hi Johan, thanks! Yes it will be worth it 😊👌
@@Projectsweden That's really good to hear! You are amazing!
Maybe he should wear helmet
I love seeing your progress. Connecticut USA here
Thanks we have been busy this summer lots of progress in the upcoming video
Hello again from Denver Colorado!!!
Hi there! Colorado must be beautiful :) greetings from 🇸🇪
Very pretty walls and ceiling!!
Thank you!
The front door is absolutely beautiful!!😊😊😊
Thank you! 😊
@@Projectsweden Good work on the door it nice and a money save.
A wonderful video! I am getting caught up and it’s been fun to see your progress from Episode to Episode! Congratulations
Thank you so much!

Hello from myself and your big brother! The ones that understand the weather. (Except for the 24 hours of sunshine...) ❤
Hey there! Derrick says Minnesota is colder than here near the arctic because we are on the coast… and yes we gain about 5 minutes of sunlight in the AM and 5 in the PM now the sun is still peaking over the horizon at 10:30 pm already
my dream is to buy an old house one day and then renovate it myself so watching you guys do it motivates me even more to one day fulfill that dream.
I always say ‘follow your dreams’ and ‘if you dream it you can do it’ 😊
Hello from North Carolina, USA!
Hi back from sweden 😊👌🇸🇪
Welcome to Sweden❤
Thank you! 😊
Good luck with all your renovation! Lycka till med all er renovering! :)
Great job! The door and windows look great. Before you know it the house will be a different experience being inside. Well done!
Thank you! 😊
Hello from Washington state USA. You get enough sun in the summer to have a solar shower.
Yes we definitely can 😄

CONGRATULATIONS EXCELLENT WORK 🗣💕
Thank you! Cheers!
Living in north in a 100 year old house means the biggest job waiting is to isolate the house to keep it warm and keeping the electricity bills low.
Yes that is exactly right!
Hei Mimi and Derrick! I was glad to see that you kept the old door; also that you found old surfaces from walls and roof. Summer on the video looks Beautiful and sunny, good for the renovation.
We are currently waiting for that beautiful weather to be back😂 but the snow is melting slowly.
