Thank you! Unhooking the camper is a pain, and we tend to run out of propane a lot lol
Glad we could help!!! Thanks so much for watching!!!
Thanks much love this video
Thank you for your kind words, an thanks for watching!!!
Never use tape except on npt threads. Seems like a lot of trouble for 40 lb. bottle. Why not just have propane company drop a 125 lb. bottle?
Thanks for the heads up! Good suggestion! Thanks for watching!!!
How did you mount your original regulator which is now hanging in the wind?
Thanks so much for watching. The regulator box is still supported by the metal tray. Currently I am stationary for the next couple of months. I am planning on drilling a hole in the platform to secure the box that covers the regulator to keep it secure during travel. I probably should have said that in the video. I appreciate your feedback!!!
It seems like the bottom of your RV propane tank is extremely vulnerable from a piece of road steel kicking up underneath it shouldn't there be extra protection underneath your propane tank?
That's actually the way it was designed, and we haven't modified anything or had any issues with it. The RV is a 2004 so hopefully that's a good sign that it will be okay. Definitely something to think about! Thanks for watching!
Where do you put the external tank when you’re driving?
I don't take it with me, I just use the regular tank because I am not usually gone for more that 2 weeks. If I was going to take it with me I would try to get a holder to connect or weld to the rear bumper. Thanks for watching!!!
I am having a terrible time finding a wrench that fits to get the regulator disconnected. My standard size adjustable wrench isn't opening wide enough. I just bought a wrench set and am finding the 13/16 side too small but 7/8 os too big and keeps slipping. What the heck do I need to buy?
I had to run to walmart and get an extra large adjustable wrench. I ended up getting the Hart 2 pack of adjustable wrenches. It had a large and medium size wrench. Hope this helps, and thanks so much for watching!!!
Can the propane tank be put on if the rv tank is still full? Just as an extra back up or no ?
You would have to be able to secure it in an upright position. Currently, I don’t have an option for that. My purpose is that while I’m stationary and living in the camper I can easily get propane without having to unhook everything and drive up to get propane. If I was traveling I would either store the tank at a storage unit or have a tank holder welded on to the rear bumper. Thanks so much for watching!!!

Don’t use tape on a NPS thread. Everything seals on the taper.
Thanks for the heads up! Thanks for watching!!!
@@befreebensondiyhow many times should you wrap thread tape around ?
You should NEVER use teflon tape in compressed gas situations!
SO DANGEROUS!
Thanks for the heads up!!! Thanks for watching!!!
I assume he's okay on the low-pressure side with teflon tape. He should use pipe sealant goop on the high-pressure side (before the regulator).
About to hook mine up it's yellow thread tape?
@@lionlarchcan't yellow thread tape be used on both sides?
