I just put one of those in our camper today. I made it so I can slide it apart at the top and not snag my toupee in the middle of the v at the top. I think it will be ok this season but the magnets aren’t very strong so…. I’m going to look into a retractable one.

How about spraying a leak detector on all connections instead of "listening for leaks" good way to blow up you rv

RVs are required to have emergency windows to comply with fire codes. The NFPA 1192 code of standards for recreational vehicle safety requires that RVs have at least two emergency exits: one across from the main entry door and one in the sleeping quarters. RVs must also have smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, LP sensors, and CO alarms.

Did you have to mount or screw the adjustable bed frame down to the base? What keeps it in place during transport?

Where did you get your propane tank mounts? I haven’t been able to find any like that! All I can find are ones that use clamps to hold the tank in place.

Soapy water is a great way to determine a gas leak.

Do you need to reopen your fixed tank valve once the bottle is connected, or just wait for it to empty from use? I don't assume the external tank will refill the fixed tank. Can they both be open at the same time?

Thanks for the video! Great help since my cover didnt come with directions. Main point- remember to line up the front corners. Seems easy, but mine moved on driver side at the end, now i gotta readjust it. Dont forget to detail that cover with armor all or silicone.

A truly bespoke camper with superb ergonomics. Your build is clearly the outcome of a considerable amount of thought, and you've paid particular attention to keeping the weight down, something which many builders overlook. Utilising the exterior of the camper makes camp life considerably easier, it also keeps the interior uncluttered. The 5x8 trailer makes for the best compromise between having a compact on road footprint for ease of towing and manoeuvring and sufficient internal space for comfortable camp living. As the camper isn't insulated, I assume that you don't camp in winter. Thank you for sharing your outstanding build, which also has a neat, individual appearence. Your lovely custom Rescue Wagon is wonderfully simple and simply wonderful!

Seos it lock the axle to the springs somehow - and is there a way to make sure the axle is perpendicular to the trailer centerline so it tracks right? I always wondered about that with these flips.

Just curious. Why didn't you bring the wires and hose come up from underneath trailer? Would have been a cleaner look, without the big conduit seen from outside.

Wondering how come you didnt just wire the head unit direct to the breaker panel and have the black cable go out to connect to the unit because the l and n wire are just jumper and sends it to the inside unit so why not just have one of the cables go outside instead of the romex cable aswell?

Never use tape except on npt threads. Seems like a lot of trouble for 40 lb. bottle. Why not just have propane company drop a 125 lb. bottle?
