Who are the Guastatori? (Real history of Company of Heroes 3 Unit)

Company of Heroes 3 has introduced some unique Italian units which are not often depicted in games. The Guastatori are an interesting unit with an interesting real history.

I try to use footage whenever its possible, there's a ton of archived footage out there that's easy to find if you search in the native language of who recorded it.

Italian special/specialized troops were among the best in WWII (Guastatori, X Mas, Monte Cervino, Arditi and ADRA, Folgore etc), too bad the ordinary/regular soldiers had to go through massive sacrifices because of their WWI equipment and artillery.

i dont know where they came up with the uniform design for guastatori in coh 3 but it sure as hell isnt historically accurate lol

COH2 is still the best in the series. Balance between historical accuracy and coolness.

@Riotdrop Not really. There are no story focusing on Axis in the COH2 (unlike the COH1) if you say the developers are wehraboo. And with Soviet especially using certain doctrines which granted access to IS-2 Heavy Tank or KV-2 Heavy Tank & "Torched" Intel Bulletin for Penals (which in turn granted guaranteed more hits for PTRS-41 AT rifle), no big deal to defeat OKW/Ostheer players.
For US players it is recommended using Intel Bulletin which increases the range & penetration value of the Bazooka. Plus Infantry doctrines which granted access to M3 Halftrack & M4A3E8 Easy Eight. So you can deal with Axis players & when you have enough fuel you can deploy Easy Eight.
For UK players it is recommended using Tank Hunter doctrine which granted access to Infantry Section with Boys AT rifle, useful when engaging Axis vehicles spam. Then at later stage, use Churchill Crocodile to support the movement of your Comet or Sherman Firefly
