My daughter and her soon to be husband are on their way to Minnesota today in a Uhaul truck with all their belongings. to hopefully start a new life and perhaps start homesteading. They are tired but determined to not stop until they get there in about 13 hours. They are city people and I was raised in the country. I am worried about her. She is our only child. They are getting a late start today. I love her very much and we have grown close despite early struggles in her life. She is quite a determined person. smart, and caring person. I now have cancer for the 3rd time in my life and waiting on pathology report to see if it has spread. I am tired of worry. I am tired of fighting. I am tired of all the liars and thieves in this world and how we are being abandoned by our own politicians as individual freedom is being wiped out. I hope the caring, and honest people can win the fight we are in. This song by Chris hit me hard. He is a very gifted person. Nice to see all the comments below that he is an honest and giving person as well as a great artist . Thanks Chris, and your family, for giving so many people a feeling of real emotion and love and forgiveness that is within your music . I too have not climbed the Mountains in my Mind and I am sure I am not alone.

The Stapletons are just good people. They are the silent majority of this country that simply wants to see others happy. I have met many people that know them and have only heard crazy stories of all the good they do for others. No fanfare. No honors. Just doing good. We all need to be like the Stapletons. May they continue to be blessed.

He was awesome in the Steeledrivers. That's where I found him. He's talented in any genre blues, country, bluegrass, etc. He's a modest person & grateful for whst he's achieved.

He actually is brilliant. He was salutatorian of his high school, a 4 season varsity athlete, and went to Vanderbilt for engineering, before dropping out to pursue a music career. To top it all off, he is a genuinely good and decent person.

Never was a country music fan with the exception of a handful of 90’s hits. My husband listens to almost everything & tried to get me to listen to him many moons ago and he just kept giving me the wrong type of songs. Then probably a year later I was playing on YT & thought I made this amazing find and sent it to my husband. Yeah I got laughed at, and reminded “I don’t like country music!” Which I don’t believe he fits squarely into. Chris is one of those “I’m my own genre” type of geniuses.
We’ve been fortunate enough to have seen this incredible soul in concert a couple of years ago. The world will always thank you and never forget the healing you’ve given our souls. Thank you Chris Stapleton. Keep jamming. (my autocorrect suggestions even brings you up now!)
I was the same way. I started listening to Chris and wouldn’t you know it, country is what I mainly listen to now. Chris made me realize there are different styles of country music and you just have to search for the style you are drawn to.

My husband passed away in December and I had the song Where Rainbows Never Die (by the Steeldrivers with Chris on lead vocals) played during the memorial service.
