And the cannibalism and starving to death came about when he and his friend were stranded on a desert island, another thing old cartoons were quite fond of doing, and he started hallucinating his friend as a hot dog and stuff.
If i remember correctly peter pan, in the original book, has canonically murdered or attempted to. Surprised to see Goofy emerging as the front runner. Loved the breakdown of each character's potential, really adds a fun twist to these iconic figures.
Honestly Donald should get one extra point in powers because in many cartoons, and in the Dutch comic continuity, he always has BAD luck. Everything he does goes wrong. Sometimes this bad luck actually ends up benefitting in the end, but usually he simply has to rely on his determination. That duck holds a grudge like you wouldn't believe. Once you made him mad he'll (hardly) never stop. Is that not terrifying already?
Don't forget they're also making a horror version of Peter Pan and Pinocchio. In the same universe as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Bambi. To be fair a horror version of Peter Pan would be great

That feel when you bring up Oswald but fail to mention the fact that he can detach his limbs, fly with his ears like a helicopter or even the many dark themes and elements that were introduced in Epic Mickey, like the Storm Blot or the fact that Oswald wanted to steal Mickey's heart and leave him stranded in a forgotten wasteland so that he could go back and take the spotlight after having lived in the mouse's shadow for so many years. Also, Oswald definitely has a cult following. He may not be mainstream popular but ain't totally forgotten and he has the potential to shine back in the limelight if only Disney would advertise him more often. I know I'm always rooting for the little rabbit.
Problem with that is that only the old Oswald content is in the public domain. Everything you've mentioned won't be available for use by anyone other than Disney until after most of the people watching this video are dead.

Probably not mentioned because it will be about 71 years until that version of the character is in the public domain. At least with the Fantasia version of Mickey it's only 12 years away and the military career of Donald Duck is only about 18 years away. Sure, those aren't exactly a short time to wait, but in 71 years I'll probably be dead either that or I'll be 104 and uninterested in seeing that movie

The Goofy part where you brought up the distrust of neighbor element made me think of the cartoon segment called Motor Mania where Goofy is a normal everyday person but when he gets behind the wheel of his car he undergoes a Jekyll-and-Hyde-like change in personality and becomes violent and vindictive to everyone else on the road.

Honestly, the lengths Goofy had already gone too to make sure Max has a good life both proves what lines he'll cross in a mad quest for revenge and will be how deep into madness he'll go if Max dies. A grieving supernatural father out for revenge against the people responsible for killing his son will *ABSOLUTELY* be a movie worth watching; it's like if Pamala Voorhees had the powers of Freddy Kruger and Zombie Jason. . the possibilities will be oh so interesting. =)
Here's an easy idea to turn Goofy become a horror movie monster: He's a loving dad. You don't mess with a loving dad's son without drawing the wrath of a good man.
I like the idea of Oswald manipulating luck, but to make him a good monster there'd need to be a budget to animate him. My idea would be to give him the ability to bring misfortune to whomever he touches, and play with the "not well remembered" aspect by making him look different based on how well the target knows of his form, while those who don't remember him well see him as a vaguely rabbit-man shaped shadow. And ofc gotta give him a cheesy quote when he kills the last victim towards the end of the film such as "your luck... has run out"

Fun fact, Disney actually has their own horror adjacent Mickey Mouse cartoon in the form of 1995’s Runaway Brain. The short centers on Mickey attempting to earn money to pay for an anniversary gift for Minnie. He responds to an advertisement to work for a mad scientist, only to find out that he is looking for a donor to switch brains with the monster he created. TLDR, Mickey freaking Mouse gets turned into a monster via a Freaky Friday body swap.

Dilworth's _Courage the Cowardly Dog_ pilot "The Chicken from Outer Space" and Nick Park's third _Wallace & Gromit_ short "A Close Shave". Ultimately, it was _A Close Shave_ that won.

Ever see what Huey, Dewey, and Louie do, they’d be crazy as a serial killer trio since they almost always are seen together yet have different skills that cover each others weaknesses and have done dangerous adventures and fights with Scrooge so considering how they have a lot of Donald’s traits, I’d say the only thing they lack is importance

Okay, I definitely agree that Goofy is the clear winner. But there are two other things that could make him truly horrifying that I don't think you considered: 1. He's famously Indestructible. Goofy's main schtick is slapstick, meaning he often takes the most punishment of any of these characters. No matter how much pain he suffers, he always manages to get up, and this ties in well with number 2. 2. His constantly happy, laughter-filled attitude. This man can take all the punishment you can give him and get up with a smile plastered on his face. He laughs no matter how tough things get. This is why in the Goofy movies it's so impactful to see him sad, as we know if something can wipe the smile off of his face it must really hurt. So combining these two traits, you get an Indestructible madman who constantly laughs as he tears through his victims, who smiles when you try to hurt him, and who can rise again and again. He's basically a jovial Jason Voorhees, and that could actually be terrifying. And it could also be a great commentary on toxic/fake positivity, or the difficulty in ending something that can put on a seemingly sweet, happy persona, like Disney itself.
I swear, I loved Lee when he said "Nyoooo" Also Goofy laughing but in a horror movie, scares me to the soul and will make me cry and hurts my heart, because he's my favorite character
My only gripe with this video is excluding Mortimer, because that character is just amazing. Imagining that "ha-cha-cha" in a horror setting is actually kind of chilling. I completely understand why Lee excluded him, I just personally love the character. No hate, loved the video.

I feel like Oswald has gotten a lot more popular in recent years, and I'm pretty sure he's more well-known now, especially because of the internet. Personally, I feel internet creators like Jake Neutron and his contributions to the character have increased Oswald's popularity. I would love to see an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit horror movie where he's on a revenge path because he was forgotten by time, along with the luck-based powers that Lee describes in the video, because that's a really cool idea. I'd also absolutely love a horror movie based on Donald Duck as described in this video, especially in regards to the commentary on PTSD, the struggle of soldiers reintegrating into society after war, etc., 'cause I feel that's an incredibly important message, in my opinion.

Goofy is a dad, that could be a very good analog for many more types of horror topics. Image he loses Max and just loses it because they never found out who did it but knew it had to he someone close to him. Revenge slashers are underrated and it would give goofy the chance to not only be the villain, but a protagonist that you can sympathize with even after all the harm he's caused. Great work Lee.

Outside of Epic Mickey, Horace has appeared in the "Get a Horse" short that proceded Frozen back in 2013 and Clarabelle most famous Modern appearance outside of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I think Mickey Roadster Racers (Which makes her appearance in Epic Mickey Questionable since she was never forgotten) was her Appearance in The Three Musketeers starring Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, which is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary this year. In that movie, She had a darker personality than we know today. She was Pete's right hand woman and Dungeon Keeper. She still had a Soft side for Goofy. I loved that version of Clarabelle.
The fact that anatidaephobia is a very real fear is another plus for Donald being a good horror character. Also, you should have totally collaborated with Drawfee; Karina and Julia probably could have given you some really good design images.
Honestly the description of Donald kinda fits Flippy from Happy Tree Friends, a war veteran with severe ptsd that when triggered goes on a gruesome killing spree using his military training. The way he sees everyone, friends and foe alike, as enemy soldiers when this state could be really intresting to see with Donald
I feel like Scrooge McDuck is a good horror villain. 1. Powers: Money, money most often means that the character has near magical technology, and he could have sawesk machines (3) 2. Design: Once more his money and tech he could have means he can have cool bionic hands, and possibly a mighty staff (3) 3. Commentary: Rich is bad, he could hate poor, maybe misunderstood, there's so many rich are bad, mean, stuck up and hate fuelled people (4) 4. @@TBNRAlokin_Dj Yeah, the idea was that in most of the movie you don't even see scrooge and the protagonists are trying to survive the terrifying security measures, but ocasionally you and One of the main characters hear the sound of coins moving as a signal that he Is near and they should ran away as fast as possibile, with the final Chase scene starting with scrooge jumping from the gold coins in the most iconic part of the vault.
I think I know a pretty good way to push Goofy into a horror movie monster: Max. He's obviously so protective over his son he's willing to fall into a river with him to protect him, and a lot of trophy hunters have no issue hunting baby animals, especially beginners. So if some young hunter is trophy hunting coyotes and shoots what he thinks is a perfectly normal pup, then he's a prime target for a trickster shapeshifter grieving for his son. To make it even worse, Max likely wouldn't be a normal coyote either, meaning you can get some really good dread out of the hunter watching the pup's body shift and realizing what he's done
I would love to see a Donald Duck horror movie. One where he uses his training, his piloting skills and even using talents to track down those who he finds as a threat. Only for the military to have to send in their own to put down one of their own. Even having an old general come out and try to calm him down. Offering Donald a chance to come back to the light. Offering a hand to the one in need. And in the credits it should show numbers to help lines for veterans help lines.

I see that more as a horror parody like Scary Movie. Just make the title "How to be a Slasher Villian", like one of Goofys' old "How To" shorts. Maybe have a narrator call out various clichés of the genre while Goofy fails to accomplish anything for the most part. It'd be kinda funny to have a horror movie that's solely from the killers perspective while we don't see much of the protagonists.
Oswald should have won and here is why. Oswald was a rubber hose cartoon character, allowing him to remove, reshape, and replace body parts. And he wasn’t just forgotten, he was replaced, the first but now the last, and some sort of revenge plot would have worked. Heck, it even works for commentary, as if you do not keep relevant, you may as well be gone. Design is also simplistic and iconic, so, that’s easy win for the rabbit.
The real reason Goofy would be the most terrifying.

Peter Pan being a bad guy would be a twist on its head since he's usually depicted as the good guy. He TOOK a Pirate Captain from the old times and a ship and sent it to his world to keep him stuck. Because Peter Pan's Twisted Version in these horror movies would probably be similar to a 'good guy' to children, but in actuality he's there to turn your children into his kind.

That feel when you bring up Oswald but fail to mention the fact that he can detach his limbs, fly with his ears like a helicopter or even the many dark themes and elements that were introduced in Epic Mickey, like the Storm Blot or the fact that Oswald wanted to steal Mickey's heart and leave him stranded in a forgotten wasteland so that he could go back and take the spotlight after having lived in the mouse's shadow for so many years. Also, Oswald definitely has a cult following. He may not be mainstream popular but ain't totally forgotten and he has the potential to shine back in the limelight if only Disney would advertise him more often. I know I'm always rooting for the little rabbit.
Problem with that is that only the old Oswald content is in the public domain. Everything you've mentioned won't be available for use by anyone other than Disney until after most of the people watching this video are dead.

At least with the Fantasia version of Mickey it's only 12 years away and the military career of Donald Duck is only about 18 years away. The Goofy part where you brought up the distrust of neighbor element made me think of the cartoon segment called Motor Mania where Goofy is a normal everyday person but when he gets behind the wheel of his car he undergoes a Jekyll-and-Hyde-like change in personality and becomes violent and vindictive to everyone else on the road.
I was surprised that there were no clips pulled from Motor Mania for this episode since Goofy's Mr. Wheeler persona is so iconic as a villain.

The thought of goofy going insane after losing Max is a REALLY dark and cool idea.
This also setting a potential sequel where it turns out that Max actually survived and now seeks revenge for his dad, leading to Son of Goofy.
Honestly, the lengths Goofy had already gone too to make sure Max has a good life both proves what lines he'll cross in a mad quest for revenge and will be how deep into madness he'll go if Max dies.

I like the idea of Oswald manipulating luck, but to make him a good monster there'd need to be a budget to animate him. My idea would be to give him the ability to bring misfortune to whomever he touches, and play with the "not well remembered" aspect by making him look different based on how well the target knows of his form, while those who don't remember him well see him as a vaguely rabbit-man shaped shadow. And ofc gotta give him a cheesy quote when he kills the last victim towards the end of the film such as "your luck... has run out"

I was wrong on the reason for the fire crackers though, since it was actually to prove to Donald that he had been sleep walking.
Okay, I definitely agree that Goofy is the clear winner. But there are two other things that could make him truly horrifying that I don't think you considered:
1. He's famously Indestructible. Goofy's main schtick is slapstick, meaning he often takes the most punishment of any of these characters. No matter how much pain he suffers, he always manages to get up, and this ties in well with number 2.
2. His constantly happy, laughter-filled attitude. This man can take all the punishment you can give him and get up with a smile plastered on his face. He laughs no matter how tough things get. This is why in the Goofy movies it's so impactful to see him sad, as we know if something can wipe the smile off of his face it must really hurt.
So combining these two traits, you get an Indestructible madman who constantly laughs as he tears through his victims, who smiles when you try to hurt him, and who can rise again and again. He's basically a jovial Jason Voorhees, and that could actually be terrifying. And it could also be a great commentary on toxic/fake positivity, or the difficulty in ending something that can put on a seemingly sweet, happy persona, like Disney itself.

I think the overlooked point is that Donald can use Zettaflare. How many horror monsters do you know that can bust out Weapons of Mass Destruction? And Godzilla doesn't count, it's a whole another genre.

I feel like Oswald has gotten a lot more popular in recent years, and I'm pretty sure he's more well-known now, especially because of the internet. Personally, I feel internet creators like Jake Neutron and his contributions to the character have increased Oswald's popularity. I would love to see an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit horror movie where he's on a revenge path because he was forgotten by time, along with the luck-based powers that Lee describes in the video, because that's a really cool idea. I'd also absolutely love a horror movie based on Donald Duck as described in this video, especially in regards to the commentary on PTSD, the struggle of soldiers reintegrating into society after war, etc., 'cause I feel that's an incredibly important message, in my opinion.

Goofy is a dad, that could be a very good analog for many more types of horror topics. Image he loses Max and just loses it because they never found out who did it but knew it had to he someone close to him. Revenge slashers are underrated and it would give goofy the chance to not only be the villain, but a protagonist that you can sympathize with even after all the harm he's caused. Great work Lee.

Outside of Epic Mickey, Horace has appeared in the "Get a Horse" short that proceded Frozen back in 2013 and Clarabelle most famous Modern appearance outside of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I think Mickey Roadster Racers (Which makes her appearance in Epic Mickey Questionable since she was never forgotten) was her Appearance in The Three Musketeers starring Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, which is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary this year. In that movie, She had a darker personality than we know today. She was Pete's right hand woman and Dungeon Keeper. She still had a Soft side for Goofy. I loved that version of Clarabelle.
The fact that anatidaephobia is a very real fear is another plus for Donald being a good horror character.

I agree with everything except the Powers: i think that conbining the "ducks can Always see you" angle with an absurdly strong but still decrepid old man chasing you in his own vault full of the most horrifying security mesures you can think of while moving by swimmimg trought the gold coins wich are all over the place would give him 4
@@lori0747 That sound good plus when you said swimming in coins I remember that he jumps in and comes out a bit farther so he can "scuba dive" in coins so it adds like a shark/megalodon movie stilled scares too.
@@TBNRAlokin_Dj Yeah, the idea was that in most of the movie you don't even see scrooge and the protagonists are trying to survive the terrifying security measures, but ocasionally you and One of the main characters hear the sound of coins moving as a signal that he Is near and they should ran away as fast as possibile, with the final Chase scene starting with scrooge jumping from the gold coins in the most iconic part of the vault.
I think I know a pretty good way to push Goofy into a horror movie monster: Max. He's obviously so protective over his son he's willing to fall into a river with him to protect him, and a lot of trophy hunters have no issue hunting baby animals, especially beginners. So if some young hunter is trophy hunting coyotes and shoots what he thinks is a perfectly normal pup, then he's a prime target for a trickster shapeshifter grieving for his son. To make it even worse, Max likely wouldn't be a normal coyote either, meaning you can get some really good dread out of the hunter watching the pup's body shift and realizing what he's done

I would love to see a Donald Duck horror movie. One where he uses his training, his piloting skills and even using talents to track down those who he finds as a threat. Only for the military to have to send in their own to put down one of their own.
Even having an old general come out and try to calm him down. Offering Donald a chance to come back to the light. Offering a hand to the one in need.
And in the credits it should show numbers to help lines for veterans help lines.

I see that more as a horror parody like Scary Movie. Just make the title "How to be a Slasher Villian", like one of Goofys' old "How To" shorts. Maybe have a narrator call out various clichés of the genre while Goofy fails to accomplish anything for the most part. It'd be kinda funny to have a horror movie that's solely from the killers perspective while we don't see much of the protagonists.

Oswald should have won and here is why. Oswald was a rubber hose cartoon character, allowing him to remove, reshape, and replace body parts. And he wasn’t just forgotten, he was replaced, the first but now the last, and some sort of revenge plot would have worked. Heck, it even works for commentary, as if you do not keep relevant, you may as well be gone. Design is also simplistic and iconic, so, that’s easy win for the rabbit.
