*PRESCHOOL AT HOME: COMPLETE 2020 - 2021 CURRICULUM OVERVIEW*

- Here is an overview of the Preschool Elite curriculum kit we purchased through Timberdoodle, along with other things we enjoy using.
Our son, Nigel, is 3 turning 4 in late December so this is his first year of “preschool.” We only spend about 30-40 min total of “focused structured learning” and then he primarily is learning through play. He sees his older sister (5 turning 6) doing “school” so he always wants to be up at the table joining her. We are consistent with Bible, math & letters/phonics but all the other “stuff” we sprinkle in when we can. (Weekly/monthly/quarterly)

I personally LOVE workbooks & worksheets, I remember loving them as a kid. However, my daughter (3) has very little interest in them. She's been showing a little bit of more interest in them, but I have accumulated a stack of workbooks that she's hardly done anything with...I can't help myself, I always have to fight the urge to buy more workbooks but I defintely fail quite often lol! I don't force my daughter to do them though, I just hope one day she'll be more interested.
I have to be that person and ask...where did you find those gorgeous hanging alphabet posters??? Love them!

Jessenia A oh I’m sorry for misunderstanding! I got the accordion folders at tjmaxx; the five star hybrid binders on amazon (along with lots of my other homeschool supplies); hobby lobby is great; and I guess emote random places. It’s a but eclectic. I’m sorry if that isn’t helpful. :(

How long does the preschool timbersoodle curriculum alone take to do a day?
If you try to do allllll the things they recommend it may take 2 hrs a day, which in my opinion, is too long for this age. The fun learning games are “extras” and we play and enjoy them when we can get to them. That may be in the evenings as a family or on a weekend or here and there. I focus on letters and sounds, numbers, shapes & critical thinking. I combine science and stem and the arts with my older daughter who is 6 so we do that together as a family once a week. I usually spend about 20-30min 3-5 days a week on “focused learning” for my preschooler. :) We ended up purchasing the “Preschool curriculum” from The Good and The Beautiful in the late fall and have really loved that! I use that now as the main learning & then use all the great Timberdoodle supplies to supplement and provide more hands-on learning. :)
