WOW ... A very different style of food it also looked very interesting, especially the burger. I'd love to try this meal some time. I'm not sure how much I would like raw meat, but you never know until you try, right. I have to say that everything was plated beautifully. I know the price was higher than your average lunch, however, I'd say with the different foods, presentation and the multiple courses and the general dinning experience, I honestly think you got your money's worth. Thanx for showing us something so new and interesting. Great video Danny! 😍
Very interesting to see such unique items. They all looked great. The price seems reasonable to me for the amount and presentation. The carmalized onions go great on a burger. You, of course, are entertaining as always.
I never would have thought u would set foot in saltbae's expensive restaurant lol but I'm glad u found that lunchtime deal. Looks like it was mostly worth it.
Great video DTM! Keep 'em coming, eh? Can you do more 'breakfst buffets' from all kinds of places from Mom & Pop greasy spoons to pinky in the air posh places? Those kind of videos are awesome.
Not too many places serve beef carpaccio because of the raw meat. The Tap Water takes care of the health risk. Hope you take another cruise this year. Love baklava!
Food Looked great. A good value. I think I will def put this on my list to try in May. Thanks Danny! Another great review in Vegas. I can’t wait to go on May. Perhaps if you’re in town, I’ll treat you to a meal 😁May 5-9.
For $39.00, hmmm I would have try it too! Yeah tap water. On the first appetizer “please keep your fingers clear of the plate”…🤔. Sure not beef chow fun…lol 🤣. Raw beef, new taste for your review . On the beef sushi, like the fried crispy rice noodles! Burger n Fries 🍔🍟 looked good. Enjoyed the review, has usual.
I wish your friends Tung and/or Steve were there to share the meal with you and hear everyone's thoughts. You have described it very well, just like a Food Network Star!
dan the man great review ,my sister loves BEEF CARPACCIO , your lunch was extremely reasonable ,but those gold steaks are over the top ,thank you dan the man
Danny please consider making a video of just you and Tung eating at Tung's restaurant of choice. I beg you Danny, if you do this I will name my first born son Danny. I Think your Great. Keep up the good work!
That first dish I thought for sure you were going to say a big ol yuck. After all those faces you made, but you fooled me! As a matter of fact after all was said and done I am now want a plate of raw meat with a crunchy center and all the other stuff that come with it. It looked really good.
@@IdealTraveler-ux2jb Many of his restaurants have already closed, there is an excellent video right here on UA-cam I suggest you see "The Rise and Fall Of Salt Bae Empire" it explains a lot!! IF you want the best steak, and a place who really takes good care of you (I go there every time I visit Vegas) I do suggest BINION'S STEAKHOUSE you will be amazed at the portions and taste...
@TheSpritz0 the video showed yesterday by Dan The Medic is current. I'm not concerned. I'll make it. Those other places closed so long ago. Thanks again!
Great video Dan, wouldn't have thought you could eat there for 40 bucks.Could you review Mabel's BBQ in the Palms ? They have the best pork belly and a hefty piece of it for 18.00 and the brisket is delicious too, we had it for dinner tonight, 2nd time this week. Also we just tried Vito's tacos yesterday and the were very good too, Eastern and Warm Springs by the 99 cent store
Gonna have to pass on the raw beef lol everything else looked amazing though!! And good to know there's actually a few things there that are affordable and not just for millionaires and billionaires 😂😂
When trying a burger at some location I order a seperate patty on the side. Then I get actual taste of burger I add the extra patty to the burger for a double burger. Or simply order a double patty burger but tell them 1 patty on the side lol lol
A raw beef tortillla wrapped rolled into a burrito and cut like a sushi roll , asushi burrito, who knew? wondering what cut of meat the plate sized cut of beef is created from? To be raw and chewable i cant think of what cut aside from maybe a huge ribcage producing a single plate sized slice of prime rib cooked xtra rare & so easy to chew, or maybe it was pounded out with an abalone hammer to become that large & tender, mystery meat to me.
Good video and interesting food. That baklava was about the average serving size. To me, this restaurant, from the vantage point of your table, does not look overly high-end.
When I saw the title I thought Salt Bae was going feed DTM the meat, I mean the steak. It looked like every dish had a sprinkle of salt, spices or powered sugar. I would have thought the restaurant would be more darker considering it's "fancy".
@@dannythemedic I'm actually Turkish Armenian. Usually how you drink Turkish tea is from the bottle neck area of the cup. Kinda pick it up at your own levels from the heat
It all looked quite tasty.. my only wonder is the baklava.. that top layer should of been more crispy and flaky.. when you cut into it, it looked kinda soggy and stale.. otherwise everything looked really good.
I would never, ever eat beef carpaccio. But, when you think about it, it’s not much different from raw sushi, which I would never, ever eat either. Am I a food snob? Probably. But I prefer my meat to be cooked. Medium well, please.
we all have preferences and that is perfectly okay, but out of all of the living creatures on earth, only humans be like "not raw" so eating raw cant be inherently a health risk.
@@dannythemedic Yes, but humans have evolved to eat their meet cooked. Especially to avoid pathogens. But, your system might hold a lot more acid to kill those pathogens. Admittedly, the more we eat raw meat and fish, the more we can fight the pathogens. Glad you enjoyed your meal.
If it's fresh and prepared properly 99.999 times of 100 you will be perfectly fine. I used to say the same thing until I had good sushi and great steak tartar. As with anything there are risks you would think a fried chicken sandwich would be fine but iv bitten into raw chicken from a restaurant more than once🤔! Raw chicken is far more dangerous than raw beef💯
Salt Bae's culinary empire has been crumbling. Too much show and too expensive for the quality of the food. Reminds me of the Medieval times themed restaurants, campy show and lousy food. Wagyu burger is a scam.. like ordering 50% lean ground beef.
Maldon salt makes everything better. But it's still not as good as the sea salt flakes in Normandy butter. I could lie on French baker's bread with Normandy butter and nothing else.
I would never eat at salt baes restaurant because im ok with regular salt i dont need it shaped. I dont need baklava wraped in gold foil💯. I could cook steaks of the same quality and plates of baklava for the whole neighborhood for the price of one meal! Also that gold foil cost about 3 $ a square foot. While it inflates youre bill a few hundred dollars 😳🤔😁😂😂😂😔
all that meat beating was not necessary. other places they just served spread out with dressing on top. suppose to be light and melting in your mouth...now you have to chew it. not the same taste or experience
I thought about it. a critic main thing is to tell you what he thinks, whereas here, i aim to document the experience and show you what i see and hear and experience and you make up ur own mind, with very little on my own opinion.
Well same difference as they say, but anyway I really enjoy your videos and I think you can be pretty funny ! So keep it up and I will keep watching !@@dannythemedic
Seems like that restaurant is all about looks and plating rather than eatability or overall flavor profile. To have a burger with high quality meat be dominated by the cheese is sad. The baklava what is with that spin? Just make it traditional style.
Thank you for letting me know their lunch special and next time I sure will try it when in Vegas
I appreciate it!
I would eat here for lunch, everything looked delicious, great video Danny

I would NOT ever pay a grand for some gold steak! LOL
Oh lord. That Carpaccio segment was amazing.
I'm quite impressed.... that they're still open....
The business Lunch is the way to go. Great deal all considered. I like the way they present the Beef Carpaccio. Love It!
yes the capaccio presentation is the best . Everything looks amazing even the wagu burger great platting and presentation.
Great video DTM! Keep 'em coming, eh?

Baklava is one of my favorite desserts. There's a small Greek bakery in Denver that has the best I have ever had.
That certainly was a lot! 🤣
Not too many places serve beef carpaccio because of the raw meat. The Tap Water takes care of the health risk. Hope you take another cruise this year. Love baklava!
Any decent Italian restaurant in any American city will have carpaccio.
There are at least 15 places in Vegas that serve it.

So glad you saved the knife. It came in handy at the end. And the tea, might be a good deal. It lasts a long time drinking with a spoon. Great video.

Kudos to you for eating that food!

You got that salt sprinkle down pat! 😂
Very unique looking dishes. Have never cared for carpaccio, but it certainly was a different presentation. Would you eat it again?
Wow, the Carpaccio and the lunch menu looks like a big-time win with good value!

Love how you turned the carpaccio into beef sushimi with your chopsticks!
I'm glad you're doing this review. I wanted to see what they had before dining there.
Better plan quickly, a lot of his places are already closed... many videos on this here on UA-cam.
@TheSpritz0 Yes, if it closes before I get there, then I'll just go to another steak restaurant. I doubt that will happen, though.

Was your beef carpaccio still mooing when they brought it to the table?😅
Eating a burger with chopsticks, love it!!
Meat sushi looked amazing. I'm not a burger lover...I'll eat it but it's not a preference for me. But it did look delicious. Thanks Danny

Price and food looked very good
Was ice an extra with the tap water ?
That’s a lot of food for $39. Looks delicious.
From your experience I think I would like to eat there.
I'm starting to understand this guys humor...
Last time I went salt bae actually was working the floor.
I would like to experience it 😊
Dinner and a carpaccio show . Nice tip to save money ! Along with “tap water”#wulffdendad
I spent?$800 for 4 people there last summer.

They used to throw ice cream in the middle of the baklava slice…
Did I miss something? Did you move to Vegas?
moving real soon, getting things finalized
The salt is not from London. We don’t have sea in London! It’s from the English coast and dates back to before 1066.
maybe the warehouse is in london?
@@dannythemedic haha! No, but I bet they flew the salt from London airport so I guess ‘it’s from London’ is kinda true😂😂
So the carpaccio was extra right?
the lunch menu 39, included the meat sushi, burger, fries and backlava.
Waiter, aka 007 showy. 😂
Oh, a tea spoon.

Theres definitely no wok hey on the carpaccio.
Bock lava? Is that a new dessert? lol
Beef car-pa-chee-oh
the raw beef dish is way too fancy for a common man like DTM
Oh no, Danny’s going to get indoctrinated into the rich man’s world.
only if they offer low price offerings !
$39 is a steal at Salt Bae‘s place!!
It's a steal because there hoping someone shows up at dinnertime and drops a grand for a t-bone and a baked potato 😂
Dan you don't drink Turkish Tea with the spoon. It's for the tea leaves/sugar
😆
are you sure? because I think the only way to drink it was with the little spoon.. But I will google

yall can condemn Salt Bae, but that carpaccio was the best i have ever seen in hundreds of food videos...
That’s one place I’ll never go to

it was their chopsticks
