Your declaration of freedom at the end of the video in support the response you read from the draw were the greatest words you have spoken to support the methods that you use in order to achieve your vision. I respect the way that you add clarity to the situation and help make us all understand better as to who you are as dream catcher and your enthusiasm with earnest delivery is just what a pile of us keyboard jockeying fans of yours need to hear as so our dreams still have light shining in them. You help us all make the impossible, possible for our segment of social society. Great job Chad your heart is in the right place and we all like that.
The thinned out body fell sanded out quite fast next to the full that wasn't thinned out. Now I can see the purpose in thinning it out plus it filled the pinholes at the same time. In all it was a quite fix the sanding with the 40 grit went fast as well because you did most of the removing so the scratch removal went fast. I'm sure your old friend loved that you took a minute to fix the holes in that part instead of saying leave it and ill fix it later thats paying it forward. Thanks Mark Dutka
I like the basic approach covered the way Chad does it. Don't sell your finishing approach short relative to restoration Chad, it really works! And episodes like this show the truth that a good result in bodywork involves hard work; there aren't many shortcuts aside from saving on excess sanding steps where they aren't needed. My own car's been waiting between 80 and Prime for drier air, but I saved a lot of time by watching Chad earlier and starting with 40-grit, which I otherwise would have believed to be too aggressive. I also took advantage of Chad's advice on using common household products instead of purpose painting products and see good results there.
Chad, me and 108 thousand people cannot wait to see this piece of art completed. You are a amazing person and we all appreciate your and Jolene’s talents. Best wishes for y’all.
I admire all the hard work you’re doing on this thing! Couldn’t imagine having to sand that whole thing😅 I understand you’re trying to get it done as quick as you can but if it’s going to be a show vehicle when it’s done, why not block the stuff out by hand? You’ll never get it completely flat just by using a DA as my instructor used to tell me in tech school. Would seem like hand blocking would be the way to go on something like this!
Jolene needs to put all of the construction of the cabover project into an edited film thingy with all the best bits with a short narration here and there, with a quick summery of ideas and what not's, edit out all the repetitive with a quick speed up of all the those long hours of hard work by Chad yes it's nice to see a humble and hard working fella like Chad, yes it really is. And maybe at the end, an outro stringing together all those times he complimented Jolene. it would take a while yeah, but it could be an historic document of sorts to Chad and Jolene and to all of their friends who called in and helped out a little.
After working all day in a body shop myself, I still find myself watching you doing bodywork. I'm either nutty or really like bodywork.... probably both.
Hello im new to your channel And at first i thought you were completely "Mad" But soon saw you are in fact a Mad genius! and a dam hard worker. I love the cabover concept you were building and have watched all 66 episodes of the Cab over project Hoping to see it as a finished product, When do you think you may get back to it? I cant wait to see it all done. Thanks
Hoping to see you flood the roof, prime her after your prep. We Cant wait till you restart on this Cab over engine design. Hope you keep coming back to it. We want to see how you the floor put in. Beautiful hood ornaments. Props for helping your neighbor, a example for us all. Thanks Chad, Jolene and Fina!
As a kid in the '60's, I used to watch a fellow drive his modified station wagon that reminds me of your car/truck. He had broken his back in the war, and his entire spine was fused. In order to get around, he mounted a pickup cab on top of the car, so he could drive it standing up.
I always enjoy your videos Chad and Jolene, I learn something new on everyone of them. Freedom Yes it is... The best way to do it. You guys are great people with amazing hearts !
I have been in IT over 35 years…and looking forward to my retirement next year. All my life, my dream was to have your skill set and fix up beautiful cars. I am too old to learn enough to match your talent. But you my friend, are the best teacher! I feel hopeful I will be able to restore the neglected beauties I have collected over the years! Thank you! Wilson.
