Thanks so much for this. I looked at your follow up video on the results and it helped me decide to try it in my yard. I had wondered about the Scotts Bonus S. I have a pretty large yard and like to see how something works before I spend a lot on something. Seeing your neighbor's yards, you are THE lawn man in your neighborhood!
Thanks, Mike! The Image product worked very well- if you haven’t applied yet, I recommend that you move quicker and spend less time on each patch of weeds. The product goes quickly, and can cause some color change/weakening to the lawn if you apply too much! Thanks for watching!
I really like Image hose end spray. I just found out that Round Up Kills Weeds not the Lawn for use on Southern grasses has the exact same four ingredients and it comes in a ready to use jug with a tubing applicator, kind of like a pump sprayer, that could be really good for spot spraying individual weeds as they pop up. I may give it a try.
Thanks for this informative video! I'm in North Florida and we're in the season where there's a 30-40% chance of rain about every afternoon. Do I need to apply when there's the lowest chance of rain in the next few days?
Someone told me this works but it can take awhile to work... Which is ok because hopefully then your not left with immediate dead spots and the grass can slowly take over the dying weeds. I used one and it was just to quick.
@@donslawns1 I’ve bought this product and nothing is coming out. Not if I’m doing something wrong but I was out spraying only to realize the fluid stayed the same 🤦🏻♂️
Can you please share when is the right time to apply Image Southern Lawn Weed Killer to Centipede grass. I noticed it says apply when daytime temperatures are between 45° F and 90° F. After reading further down, it says do not apply product to warm-season turfgrasses when turf is going into dormancy in the fall or coming out of dormancy in the spring as some injury may occur. I live in SC and my grass is still dormant so what month should Image Southern Lawn Weed killer be applied?
Probably aim for April in South Carolina. Looking at the monthly weather for Charleston- there shouldn’t be any days below 45, and definitely none above 90. So it’ll be right in the sweet spot for the effective temps.
I’m not sure about cali legislation on herbicides, but maybe you can find something with the same active ingredient? 2,4-D is the main chemical, dicamba if I recall correctly is there too.
Thank you for the video ! I only found reviews with Bermuda grass and none with St Augustine! 👌🏼
Glad it was helpful!!

Nice!! I will have to give it a look! Thanks for watching!!
Please post the follow up link in the description. This would save all of us time.
Great idea
Let me know how that works. I’ve got some of those weeds too here in San Antonio.
It worked very well! It did cause some yellowing of the grass in weaker parts of the lawn, but it says that on the bottle- so no surprise.

I think that’s the best option!

For sure! The product flows pretty fast out of the bottle. Thanks for watching!

@@rastaman7140 yeah I had similar issues with the bottle.
Can we water the lawn after applying this or should we wait?
You’d have to double check the label but I think you have to allow it to dry. Thanks for watching!
It’s rain fast in 4 hours

Any other options out there besides Image brand? I live in California and it seems legislation banned this type of herbicide.

It runs out quickly!!
I agree- gotta move quicker!
How may times should I apply it on my st Augustine grass? I just applied it 6/17/2021
Check out your weed presence after July 4th and possibly re-apply then. You want to give the product time to work!
No after pictures or anything, did it work or suck
Worked alright, needed a second application to really knock them down.
I feel like you live in Corpus Christi..??
Sure do!
Hey Don it’s me again, do you recommend this on my new sodded yard? I’m staring to see weeds but not as bad as yours.
I would probably wait until you have mowed 2-3 times, and fertilized already. Feel free to DM me on twitter @donslawns1 if you need more advice!
Don’s Lawns thanks man!
This product sucks
I’m sorry you didn’t like it- it worked great for me!
@@donslawns1 how long they it take maybe I have not gave it enough
@Fabian Leslie probably took a good 14 days.
@@donslawns1 I was wrong its starting to do the job, ran my mouth to soon. What about the expert weed and feed does it work
Fabian Leslie it worked pretty good too, knocked majority of the weeds out. Really thinned out the thicker weedy sections
