Raafid K I think that there are corollas with dark interior, ive even seen banana cream interior(they look really nice), so he should be able to just find them at a junkyard instead of painting

Raafid K they make them, they’re just not common. From the ones I can remember , there’s beige , grey, black and banana cream. I used to work for a place that processes new Toyota’s for the dealerships , and I would see all kinds of options there. The banana cream color one is my favorite. Google it if you ever get the chance to. The same with the paint jobs, they have a reddish orange pearl effect called “scarlet” that looks really nice.
All cars should already have the same interior color for headliner. It's stupid that it doesn't!

Some manufacturers are painting headliners lighter colors, because interior is small, so having whiter headliner gives the driver a bigger, fresh feel. More premium cars are using this as a marketing technique, theres no price difference making them black or white but they charge you extra for that. More premium cars have bigger interiors so darker headliner doesnt make them feel clostrophobic.
If the owner doesnt love driving cars and just using it to go from a to b, they should use the white headliners, it makes them feel fresh.
Right!! My interior is black and the ceiling and top half of the car is tan 🤦🏾♀️ it bothers my soul 😂
@@kaan5249 Exactly. I'm one of the rare few that don't like a black headliner, especially in a small car. Makes me feel claustrophobic, not to mention the heat it absorbs in the summer. Having said that, I would want the interior to match so it doesn't look out of place.
it really did change the appearance and i really like the contrast between the liner and the handles and visors

One tip when painting headliner use soft brush when you paint you dont need that much paint and this helps you get even paint
Awesome man I want to do the same thing same color same product I don't like light gray my question is did it make your headliner hard or sticky after you painted it and it was dry or did it feel like normal?

Did it end up smelling of paint afterwards? Im tempted to do this to a new car but im afraid of the interior smelling like paint. Great job painting it and very informative with talking about the plastic clips n such! Looked awesome after installation. Agreed that black roof lining looks great in a car.

I’m doing my Range Rover fitting led star lights Iv put black with white diamond stich fabric to the window panels but don’t want the same on the headliner so thinking to spray paint. Will do build up primer first then do the black then drill all the holes for the led

It’s won’t get too hard but it will get a little bit more stiff than the original 👍

It will only smell for 2-3 days but after that no more smell. And the smell is not strong. Cool 👍

Should’ve scuffed plastics with red scotch-brite and use some plastic paint adhesion promoter. Your plastic probably scrapes off with a scratch of a nail, it’s not as good as dye without a doubt.but you can get pretty close Colors matches from SEM interior aerosols if you don’t need black but grey for example

To be honest the first headliner looked better ... but not bad with the black though but you had to as well make everything black and provided you’re about to install little pieces of lights to make it look like the headliner from a rolls Royce

@@Shinegadget ok I respect your decision. In my case I would dismount the it and sand it down, then paint it, that way the paint would stick better. Have a great day.
A very lite sanding would give it enough texture for that paint to stick well, it should take a few layers tho. I'm so tempted to do this tomorrow
