Nice to see that I am not the only 57 Chevy owner who has had to bust a few knuckles and get a car back to running . It can get a bit frustrating at times.
Hi....i am from the UK.....may i thank you sir....for brining a classic peice of American Engineering back to life. i myself....love classic 50`s American cars....the 57` is a special favorite of mine...it would be my dream to own one.....and i`m 65! lol!...keep up the good work sir!....
Hands down, my most favorite car ever! My Grandfather had a 5 door wagon that I wanted to fix up when I got old enough to. Unfortunately, it slowly rusted out in his back yard, and he sold it for parts. This one is in amazing shape! Wouldn't take much to bring it back to top form. 👍😁
Yeah, my brother had a 57 Chevrolet. He would put me on his lap and let me drive home from my brothers house which was about a mile away in Anderson Indiana. Times never forgotten.❤ I miss you brother.
You’re a very lucky man to find this 57 Chevy two door post in great Shape,Still runs sounds good after all the work you put in to it did a good job .I wish it was my mine ,wishful thinking but anyways thank you for sharing my friend.
Ahh, sweet memories. My Dad bought a brand new Chev Bel Aire 4 dr. sedan in June of 1957. It had a 283 V-8 with a 4 barrel carb. Oh how i loved that car. It had a "Sierra Gold and Beige" two tone paint job. What a beauty. Wish I had it now. But,...I do have a pristine 1967 Chev Caprice with a 350 cu in engine and auto transmission. Love it too. They just don't make 'em like that no more.
I wish to see this Beauty Run&Drive after Properly(!) repair&Restore , Upgrade! Sorry Guys, please stop it to show this Skill to bring old Motor to Run. best Wishes&Greetings from Germany!
Love the ‘57 150 two door sedan. Good video. I did have to laugh at the traction bars coupled with that 235 Blue Flame 6 cylinder engine! Good luck! She’s a beaut!
Damn dude,, you say hasn't ran in 30 years ? First thing you do when it starts is to rev it up for all its got !!! Damn wonder the crankshaft didn't come in the front seat with you
Sounded like there was a dead cylinder. Not surprising after 30 years of sitting. Good looking car despite the rusty floors. And the rubber nose belair front bumper over riders look interesting against the lack of trim on the 150's.
Glad to see you working on that old car and getting it back running. Get you some new plugs points condenser wire distributor cap rebuild that carburetor at car run pretty good probably change that oil really good. I believe I would leave the paint like it is and put the original white wall tires back on it with the original hubcaps and ride it around. If you do any more videos on that car post on I'd like to see them. Great job brother.
Love your 1957 Chevrolet 150 I have the same one in Larkspur blue nothing like those three on the tree transmissions. I haven't started mine up in over 30yrs either. Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully you will keep it stock. I was going to modify mine but have decided to bring her back to her natural beauty.
Should cut out entire floor and put a one piece pan in it. Probably couldn't get enough roofing tar off the floors to weld partial pans in. If that stuff caught on fire from grinding or welding it'd be too toxic to breathe. Other wise good. But, I wouldn't recommend revving a newly started engine like that. Give it enough rpm's to stay running & let the block warm up for a bit first.
What a moron, too lazy to even take off the tires and free the brake drums. Any engine will run as long as it wasn't blown up before it was parked. The straight 6 engine was used in demo derby cars because it would run even with no water in it.
The Common 235 inline 6 cylinder engine--other option was the 265 cu.--same as newer 283 but newer engine was Bored Out more. I had this same 235 in my 54 Chevy Bel-Aire Sport Coupe...
He probably would have more subscribers if he would actually talk. I for one am not going to subscribe and won't be back to see any of his other videos for that very reason
Beautiful car; love the Spartan appearance of the 150's. Appears someone in the past exchanged the steering wheel for a 210 wheel. If I remember correctly, the 150 only had a horn button in the middle of the wheel???
A SILENT VIDEO I HAVE NEVER SEEN ??? I AM SORRY IF YOUR IN ANOTHER COUNTRY OR DEAF .. BUT I WATCHED TO SEE IF IT WOULD START GREAT ,, THATS ALL I COULD TAKE .. NICE CAR ,,ENJOY!!
I had one just like that many years ago... Those 6 cylinders weren't very good. The 250 6 cylinder was a lot better that came out years later. I have had over 12 57's over the years and all makes of them... I always like 57's. The most a paid for one was $275. That was back in the 60's...
Something about the start up after 30 years dormant seemed a bit too aggressive. Is the motor seized up ? Perhaps freeing the front axle would have been a better way to start?
Nice unit, but what’s up with the slapper bars with the six banger?that would have a hard time breaking the tire loose probably an old hotrod put back to stock or someone wanted it to look like a drag car,who knows.nice car though.
Nice to see that I am not the only 57 Chevy owner who has had to bust a few knuckles and get a car back to running . It can get a bit frustrating at times.
Beautiful car. Loved seeing you get it back in working order. Also love that there’s no talking. Enjoy that machine. What a treat!

Everything I see you do is old school, and, I really appreciate it! I'm a 74 yo mechanic, and, I am enjoying this! Keep it up!

Nice to hear only background music. ASMR I love it.
Love Watching You Getting Thease Old Cars Up And Driving Again 😊
Awesome work. I like these types of videos where no one is talking. You do great work.
Beautiful car... With the original color, the green trunk would look wonderful!
Love the ‘57 150 two door sedan. Good video. I did have to laugh at the traction bars coupled with that 235 Blue Flame 6 cylinder engine! Good luck! She’s a beaut!
Love the "Tri-Five Chevy's"! Good luck with her.
Great show keep up the amazing work be safe my friends God bless all
No talking, no watching. Good luck to you.
Damn dude,, you say hasn't ran in 30 years ? First thing you do when it starts is to rev it up for all its got !!! Damn wonder the crankshaft didn't come in the front seat with you
Another classic car wasted on a moron.
I wouldn't waist my money on electric auto
Sounded like there was a dead cylinder. Not surprising after 30 years of sitting. Good looking car despite the rusty floors. And the rubber nose belair front bumper over riders look interesting against the lack of trim on the 150's.
I'm glad to see a nearly perfect 1957 Chevy put back on the road that is my favorite car of the 50s

love to see the old ones come back.thank you.
YO SOY UN AFICIONADO LOCO POR LOS COCHE ANTIGUOS
One of the best car designs ever.
Fantastic car. Well worth sorting!!
Awesome body ! I had a 57, was bronze with a white top, 283.

Thx for showing all the real ways for a back yard guy like me!
Nice thanks for sharing ..keepem coming
.
My younger brother Bobby had a 57 chevy two door in Bel Air trim. We had a lot if fun in that car. Great memories I miss him.

Great job so far, I will finish your video later
It's not a 210 ! It's a 150 2 door sedan. Got one just like it. Ha ha.
two tone it
Me too lol. Black V8 one piece frame rails. 👍🏻
I was just gonna chime in and say that no aluminum trim on the fins
Yes that was a low budget vehicle.
Except for missing grill the old girl is in remarkable shape.
Jeez man, easy on the rpm's on initial start up, holy moly you're lucky it didn't pitch a rod, wow !
Those red motors are bulletproof, we can still get tune up mods here in Australia, enough to give the V8 crowd the blues lol
It's not a holden red motor (173,186 etc ) but a Chev 235 which is physically bigger and better.
He cranked that 1957 starter like he has ten of them new in a box.
Thank you for showing!! and save the Beauty
Después de 30 años parado su motor sigue siendo una seda, que bello auto, que tiempos increíbles de autos hechos con el corazón.
Love it. I have one. It’s a 150 sedan. Great find 👍🏻✌🏻thx for saving it. And for sharing this with us all
i love the look of 57 chev's i like the original colour in the boot what a cool car 😎.
Another one saved and a job well done by yourself as usual 👏
It's fun watching amatures resurecting cars.
Cool 57 , a little work and you'll be having fun .
Thanks, working on it is a part of the fun too
Good find mate 🤙🤙🤙
Super nice car! Great work señor! 👏
I would of pulled the carb, got out my torch tip cleaners and gone through that carb,
good job in getting bit moving again.
Superb as always. Keep up the good job!

Beautiful car mr congratulations thanks for this video and for bringing this beaty back to the road.

If you wanted to stick with an inline six, you could swap in the 261 truck version.
Blower up Son . 30 yr set. I would have made it ideal for an hr before I confirm it needed a new carb . Or a 350SBC lol
This channel would be better if you talked when you doing your videos so I’m outer here
This was a great video! I love that car!!!!
"The car looked 'scrawny' at first, but after the makeover, it's like it hit the gym for six months!"
Another excellent video
Cool channel, keep em coming!👍👍🔥
Wow! A clean start!
NIce model 150. It's wearing a model 210 steering wheel horn ring. This car has lots of potential.
The headliner and seating upholstery looks fabulous!! Say what color did that end up being? Looked like a dark gray or silver
Heck yeah… floor boards aside… looks to be a great find👍🏼
Gue bueno esta eso me gusta mucho tus videos desde cuba te seguimos ❤❤
The optimism of whoever installed traction bars on a stock 6 cylinder is impressive.
Yeah I laughed at that too
Has a tach too. lol. Maybe they had high hopes ❤️
Somewhere back in the dark ages I was a teenager too
I really enjoy your content and production style. No dialogue. Many UA-camrs could learn from that. Keep up the good work.
Nice job. You don't see a lot of 210 2dr sedans anymore.
It’s a 150-
@@torekristoffersen176 sure is, isn't it. Someone swapped the steering wheel.
That is a nice 57 150 sedan i have a 55 two door post bel air
Awesome!
Looks like it's basically in pretty good shape.
A 57 Chevy 2 door sweeeet! You don't need a V8 to be an icon just that style,
The mechanic with the most beautiful hands. 🙋
About that process, unsticking the brakes..any hints of the solving that problem..????
What gem i always loved these cars and the 55
Music is really annoying!
Terrible 😢
OMG I'm loving it !! Great job and awesome video !!
Your mechanical expertise never fails to amaze me! Another fine job. You should have many more suscribers!

You have found a treasure.
I’m curious what is the end game with this car? Restoration for resale?
Something about the start up after 30 years dormant seemed a bit too aggressive. Is the motor seized up ? Perhaps freeing the front axle would have been a better way to start?
Beautiful lady with a great deal of possibilities.
Please never paint it!!! Floor mats, tires ,ready to roll!!! 🤘😎🤘
Very good video 👏
she’s an beauty
Hermoso auto Está Arrancando en 5 cilindros Saludos desde Argentina
great job on a great car
Thanks
Belair seat covers. In a 150 2-door Sedan. First red 6 cylinder I’ve ever seen.
Woww 6 cylinders ...same powerfull like MUSTANG ... FIX single turbo ...there you go ...! Smoking Chevy.
Nice unit, but what’s up with the slapper bars with the six banger?that would have a hard time breaking the tire loose probably an old hotrod put back to stock or someone wanted it to look like a drag car,who knows.nice car though.
Beautiful car
The sound from the incident is the heating fan squeeking
tres belle voiture... BRAVO ! 🛠👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
Oh shit! That floor is a condemned building
Estupendo coche, buen trabajo.🖐️💪🇪🇦👍
