Ford inline six engine carburetor repair
Fixing a weak engine and a leaking carburetor on a 1952 Ford Customline. Replacing the broken glass bowl with a metal type, and installing a diaphragm economiser power valve on the Holley Carburetor 215 cubic inches inline straight six-cylinder then take it for a little test drive.
I use ethanol-free gas only on classic cars and lead replacement additive when requrired. ( often add some oil in gasoline on startups after years )

Well, good work, but what you replaced is the economiser, not the accelerator pump. The economiser is like a power valve. The accelerator pump diaphragm is behind the metering block.
I have allways called it for an acclerator pump, kind of first and secondary acclerator pump in that carburetor type, but in terms you are correct. Anyway it nedded to be replaced and the ford acclerates way better now. Thanks for your constructive feedback!

That straight six was a Pig…but so was Fords six
57 was one of the ugliest Chevys…I owned a restored 55', 56' 😢and 😢a 😢showroom 57'….I owned two 57' Fords…stock…faster and prettier. That’s why the public outsold GM in 57….I couldn’t sell that 57' Chevy fast enough.

That blue one is in great condition under the bonnet. The doors always rust like that cos there is a pad stuck to the inside of the door to protect the glass/window mechanism. And the pad gets wet and soaks water which results in the rusty patch you see in middle of door.
My younger brother Bobby had a 57 chevy two door in Bel Air trim. We had a lot if fun in that car. Great memories I miss him.

why the music?
I had a 190E petrol auto I bought about 15 years ago with 300000km on it. Brakes & auto box had been done up. Motor was a bit fumy but still performed well. But the starting injector had died, so one didn't dare touch the accelerator until it decided it was going to go, else it died straight away. Otherwise, car started every time even down to -10oC. Unfortunately it was written off in an accident.
I just got my 1950 Chieftain going again after brake rebuild that took way too long. But she’s going now. Such a great car and I love that old straight eight. But now it has a blue on the exhaust just one but it’s getting worse. Gasket on order from the states. Hope that’s going to be a stud snapping nightmare to sort. Enjoyed you vid top draw
Those spark plugs went into my Pop's 1967 Chrysler 300 400ci HEMI V-8 engine like that too!!... I would ĺove to have helped this guy repair this car.. The engines were so much easier to work on... Not smushed up together with these computer chips, none of that jazz... It would've been cool if this had a 3 on the tree instead of that boring automatic transmission...

Non capisco perchè hai fatto tutto nel senso sbagliato e hai controllato l'olio solo alla fine. Hai cercato di metterla in moto quando avevi una ruota bloccata. Non hai pensato al filtro della benzina e dell'aria. Non hai tolto nemmeno il fango sul motore. Questi lavori vanno fatti con una logica per non sprecare tempo e denaro.
not sure about putting oil down the distributor is that a thing? I know they have a grease cap underneath for lubrication.
