I love tuna in the oil...more flavor. You and your husband are so funny together. Wonderful show.
Mom used that oil in her tuna salad
She said " Whatever tickles your fancy "... I haven't heard that in years !... Fabulous.
I love this lady and her husband together. I make the food the way she does. I'm always washing my hands too.
Draining is a must
I put my cans of unopened tuna in the fridge over night. The next day when I make it, it doesn't need to get cold because it's already cold and ready to eat.
thank you! That is a great idea!
Smart and thanks for the tip, Lady J. Smooth. 👍🏽
Great idea 💡👍👏
Me too. I've been doing that 4 years.
Lady J Smooth I do the same thing sometimes. ☺️
I put my tuna in a colander and using a fork, press the water out of the tuna. This way you can do all the cans at a one time. Love watching your videos. Your hubby is hilarious! I love how you two interact. Laughter is the key to a happy marriage! ❤
😊
Colander is a good idea💡
My cats enjoy the tuna water that's dripped into a bowl from the colander.
One suggestion to drain the tuna is to use the lid to press the water out. Use the can opener to cut the lid completely off. Don’t leave any of the lid attached. Then just press the lid all the way down into the tuna while it’s in the can and it will press all of the water out. It will save you a bunch of time.
Heyyyy Jaye!!!! Wow, thank you soooo much for sharing your suggestions!!!😊
That’s how I squeeze the water out!
I use the lid also
@@BeautifulTooCreationsWithDonna I can't believe your husband is arguing with you over a tuna sandwich, and an entire bowl is still lieft to eat I'm unsubscribe to your channel I don't watch your videos to see you and him arugue in your kitchen it very uncivil and very ghetto. but good luck to you in future cooking videos.
@@flowersandcandyflowersandc9093 This is her channel lol. Girl bye. You sound pressed.
I like a little tuna with my mayonnaise sandwich too. The man knows how to do a sandwich!!
I always add a little yellow mustard with my Mayo, eggs red onion, sweet relish and chives for color.it is amazing how many different ways there are for making a dish I also put my cans of tuna in the refrigerator so it will be cold when I know I’m going to make it sometimes that week or so and I boil the eggs early so they will have plenty of time to cool.
Use a strainer to strain it
I never heard of sugar sweet tuna salad before. I used sweet relish, but not sugar. FYI purple onion is very good in tuna salad and adds some nice color. I also add peeled chopped up mini cucumbers, very tasty
no sugar or sweetener in tuna salad. also, no "light" mayo. either the real thing or nothing.
No celery but I love my onions and extra mayonnaise yummy 😋
I add a little bay seasoning to my tuna salad.
Thanks Sis. I love it, but I love onion and regular celery in mines. Thanks for sharing.
My mom made tuna salad sandwiches for herself and three kids, using one can of tuna. She added shredded lettuce and used those 4 eggs you used. The lettuce made it stretch.
.love this ladys cooking
I like my tuna in oil ♥️
FYI, I always refrigerate my cans of tuna so it will already be cold so I don't have to wait to eat it. I mix all my other ingredients together plus onion powder & yellow mustard as a dressing then pour over the tuna.
That is a great idea. Refrigerate my tuna cans. Wow.
You are so welcome I enjoyed watching you bless you both
I like sweet relish in tuna salad too.
I'll have to try it this way. I have always made tuna salad with dill pickle and egg salad with sweet pickle. My mom use to use a combo of both in her tuna salad. This looks so good, think I'll go and make some today, it's so hot here in Florida this would be a refreshing meal for dinner tonight. 😊
I'm from Louisiana and awesome cooks......my mom didn't measure nothing. Lol
I love the way you & Hubby interact with each other.. spending time in the kitchen is a great start to keep the relationship together ( working & communicating is the key so keep it locked ) 👍🏽
Donna, you have a great voice, easy to understand. You look like a sweet lady, you have kind expressions.
I usually strain mine in a wire mesh basket but I’m going to squeeze it like you’re doing.
I don’t like relish so I leave it out, scallions would be good.
I never add sugar but add some mustard to give it zip.
I LOVE SIMPLE ♥
Awesome video.
A bite like a dinasaur... like a Volosaraptor... im rollin here 😆 🤣 I love yall... yall are just too adorable for words...
Thank you so much.
I can't stand to have my tuna get watery and can't seen to get it dry enough..so I love your tip...
Thanks again
Hi Donna, I make my tuna similar to yours , I squeeze mine with paper towels. I have always used two eggs per can and a touch of yellow mustard. Over 25 years ago when my kids were in the band I would make the food service sized can and the kids would always say they wanted my chicken salad at concerts because they didn't like tuna salad. I never told them it was tuna. I enjoy watching your videos. Be blessed.
I also put mustard in my tuna salad chicken salad with dill pickle relish
I agree with you. I'm big on washing my cans, dry them off, remove all rings from my fingers, & washing my hands. I love your approach to cooking. Thanks 😊
To bad they don't do the something in most restaurants and fast-food places.
Mustard and Mayo is great in tuna!! Sweet relish makes it tastes Alittle sweet. And I like it with chopped boiled eggs.
I like the idea of squeezing the tuna. Thanks.
I use 2 eggs per can because I love eggs too! I love your videos and the instruction you give is really great. The camera work let’s me see what you’re doing and how you work. I don’t measure either, so I like that you taste and add what’s needed. Love your personality so much....somehow I feel like I’m in the kitchen with you! I’m very glad you started your channel. Y’all are so funny....crack me up!!
Awwwww thank you Angela for this sweet comment!!!🙂 You’ve made my heart smile!!!🥰
I sincerely and allways will love the way you make your cakes and all of your sweet recipes ,,,
That’s looks so delicious; I’m gonna have to look for those butter buns😋. I open my can half way, run cold water through it and press the top lid down as tight as I can. I use Hellman’s, onions, celery seed, sometimes green bell pepper chopped finely, eggs, relish, a little sugar, a little mustard, pepper and I add some sliced eggs on top and sprinkle paprika for presentation. That’s how my Mom did it.
yuk on the sugar. no sugar with savory.
Oh my,a GIANT tuna salad sandwich!!!
I make tuna salad like yours but I do put onions in mine. I add fresh celery as well.
😮😮for a healthy alterntine for bread i like a tomato bell pepper or lettuce leaf
love it! draining the tuna by hand such a great suggestion i had gloves for that and it worked great. also i added bread and butter pickles , japanese mayo , and paprika and a hint of cajun spice to your recipe . best tuna salad i’ve ever made so thank you for the foundation. ❤
Omg, I love tuna sandwiches so much.
love it you taught me something
I add some mustard as well
I pretty much make mine the same way, except that I finely chop some celery and onion. Sometimes I'll add a bit (1/4 -1/2) of apple peeled and diced finely as well. If I have Miracle Whip, then I forego any additional sugar.
no apple or apple peel in tuna. hard boiled egg, yes.
Lady Donna, I love tuna, never thought to add eggs. Thank for the tip. Pastor, I love the idea of adding lettace to give it a crunch. I look forward to making my own.
Deac we love our tuna with eggs!!!! Now he can keep the lettuce because I can do without the "crunch"!!! LOL!
@@BeautifulTooCreationsWithDonna love tuna wLettuce & tomato...!!!
You have gained a supporter
Yep I can hear the rain. Sounds so nice.
Thank you for making me aware of Sweet Salad Cubes and Bay Spice (which, btw, already includes Celery Seed).
I am looking forward to trying them in my Tuna Salad.
Your husband is very funny I just love to watch out because my husband passed away 13 years and I really miss him enjoying laughter and everything with him so just enjoy each other as long as you can bless you both
I really like the fact that you answer most questions. Others just offer you a ❤️ and keep you hanging. Thanh you.
You two make a GORGEOUS COUPLE!!! And there's a nice energy to your videos. Great work!
Thanks for the celery idea
I love putting onions in my tuna,I don’t care for celery, but everything else you put in I use.
Chop it fine and just add a bit
I need a lil mustard and I use a lil bit of honey as well
I never put sugar in my tuna salad, but I do use sweet pickles relish.
I like the crunch of celery and my mom always used celery and onion and sometimes green pepper.
Gotta have egg in your tuna salad. It's two per can for me. And your husband is absolutely right; you CANNOT make a good sandwich without good bread. Period. Great video.
You guys, are a cooking, diy, comedy, all wrapped in 1. With lots of love, a few rough patches here and there,to work out. God bless, you all. You make me smile and laugh. Thank you.💐
I keep a small jewelry bowl on my winder small. I remove all rings including thumb 💍 from my fingers "regardless" of type of meal prep. Rings 💍 harbors bacteria. Good practice is to remove all jewelry prior to cooking. When done with cooking, I place them back on, done! 🥰
I add a little sugar (monk fruit) too. I also add a dab of lemon juice. Tuna and chicken salad is all about personal preference and what you were raised eating.
How much sugar?
Oh my, you are making me hungry! 👍
Yummy. Looks delicious
Your hubby is Adorable!😊

My mom used to make tuna salad. 😊❤

Hi Donna, I can't eat tuna because I'm allergic to seafood. But I watch the video because I love watching because I needed some laughter. And when hubby (dude#1) comes into the kitchen he is hilarious. Love you and God bless you and family real good. ❤🤗🙏
Thanks so much for sharing your very own recipe for Tuna Salad. I do mine using similar ingredients with a few good dollops of mayonnaise and a little relish instead of the sweet cubes.
Heyyyy Lorna!!! You’re welcome!😍
My family will only eat White Albacore / water

You two are so cute together, I love tuna fish salad but I gotta get the tuna in oil it's more flavorful and please no low calorie mayo, lol I don't eat it for it to be healthy and I also use real sugar not sweet and low, I'm with your husband on that one.
I totally agree with you on the oil! And equal is NOT healthy!
Oil has flavor, I use sweet relish. I've never put sugar in mines. Eggs yes please. I might use some garlic and parsley salt combined. Everybody has a way they like it. Love, respect, and positivity always. Vj.

Mrs. D, your hubby is too much! 🤣🤣🤣 He ain’t on nobody’s diet and don’t ask him to be.🤣🤣🤣
Good morning to Mrs Donna and family and I am praying for you and your family 🙏 👪 ❤️ 💛 💗 ♥️ 🙏
Great recipe, I add mustard and season salt as well. Maybe it's a Louisiana thing. Eitherway, yummy 😋
I make my tuna salad with mayonnaise, boiled egg, dill relish, and chopped onions, and I too use starkist. I too squeeze the water out.
You guys are a funny couple! Love this video
I love Tuna Salad also. I put a Tblspn of Ranch Dressing mixed into my Mayo. I am like you Donna about the celery stalks. Oh yes I definitely squeeze all that water off the tuna.
I also add a splash of lemon juice to cut down on the fishy taste and a dab of yellow mustard.
You guys are funny I love looking at y'all 😅😊
I really love you and your husband I think your show is so easy to watch and listen to.I can hardly wait to start cooking your recipe s
Easy dinner for tonight 😃 thank you
I never touch my tuna. I open my can with an electric can opener and press down the top of the tuna can and pour off all the water. The tuna is dry when I press the lid. I use sweet relish, chopped boiled eggs and sometimes chopped onions and chopped celery and the main ingredient is Miracle Whip salad dressing (Mayo)!. Perfect tuna all the time.
I also use Miracle Whip delicious
Right!!!
That was disgusting
Miracle Whip is NOT Mayo. It's a Salad Dressing. says so right on the label if the taste doesnt tell you enough
I use half Miracle Whip and half Duke’s Mayo. I also add onions. No sugar!
I'm late but miracle whip makes it so much better!
I will try this out for dinner tonight 😋 😄 😊 😀
Mmmmmm celery seed ok yes eggs and i put garlic powder too i love you guys
Looks wonderful! Good job!!!!

A touch of garlic powder just a touch
Love it. Again 👍😀👍😀💕♥️❤️ you are too good!!!!!
Love tuna salad. I haven't had it in awhile.
Speaking of celery, I’m like you, I can’t stand celery but I like celery salt. I might put some of that in my tuna salad.
Great new tips for my old tuna recipe! Thanks for sharing!🌷
I love you Donna! You have such a great sense of humor about the rain and the thunder
I thought I was the only one to the the water out this way .💕😊
Here in Canada, we don't have anything called sweet cubes, is that the same as hot dog relish,?? I suppose I could use that, right?
