Every other tutorial that I have seen on this topic uses a much more confusing and slow method for this which involves exporting twice, so I made this tutorial as I believe the method I use is much quicker and more effective
0:00 Start
0:05 Rig set up
0:24 Export Rig
0:36 Import Rig
0:49 Rig clean up
1:36 Adding the IK rig
2:05 Locate IK rig's exportable armature
2:20 Join weapon to rig
2:35 Set weapon's parent
3:12 Ready to animate
3:33 Animation export
Something important which I forgot to mention in the video, is that you'll need to use the __RigMeta of the IMPORTED weapon rig, not the one that comes with the IK rig.
Although, if you follow the steps in the same order of the video, it should be fine
Very useful, thank you.
God, thank you for your work.
I just can't watch these videos where people try to explain how to tie an object to a rig's arm for about 20 minutes.
After that, watched ya another video about ragdoll's, and it is what I needed - straight and simple. (Which is good)
Glad to hear, my main intention when making these was to keep them short and concise
This would've been helpful if i had yesterday😭
But now people have a good tutorial to follow👍
you're a hero bro 😭
r6 is pushed way too much and i finally found it here,,,,,,,
THIS IS AMAZING!! I have a question tho, would it also work with wiggle bones?
Or do you know a way how to export wiggle bones rigs attached to body rig?
The rbx add-on for blender automatically bakes the animation, so wiggle bones will export like normal as they're baked into the keyframes
thank you for being in my recommended Freddy Fazbear
so sigma
I need to check up on my mentions more often.
DUDE SLOW TF DOWNNN YOOOO
every tutorial i've tried i couldnt figure out how to make the bone for the actual handle to appear when rebuilding rig in blender help would be greatly appreciated
That sounds like an issue with the rig in studio, make sure that the item is welded to the model in studio correctly. Pretty much any studio rigging tutorial will show you how to do this, but if you have moon animator you can use the easy weld to create an animatable joint between the arm and the handle. If you don't have moon, you can use a rigging plugin like RigEditor or rig edit lite
I was about to give up on attaching a model to an ik rig until i see this video
rig goes invisible when imported in blender
every time i try to import the rig i get an error code in blender im doing everything exactly like you did please help
same 😔
Make sure your blender add-on and blender version is compatible, the one I used is for blender 4.0+
I dont see easy weld plugin
Easy weld comes with Moon Animator, an alternative would be Rig Editor or RigEdit lite
anyone know why i get an error when i try to rebuild the rig
If you're using blender 4.0+, you'll need to use the updated rbxanimations addon, it's linked in the description
@@tankflatter6858 i found the problem, i forgot to export via the plugin.. but now i have a new problem where the body parts arent moving with the bones
You'll have to apply child-of constraints to the body parts and assign them to the correct bones, or alternatively set the object's parent to the bone ua-cam.com/video/o5f18T7Rjmc/v-deo.html
