Fantastic video! Did the job myself. Only variation is on 12 year old 2010, sway bar bolt impossible to loosen. Two corroded. Noticed in the video his sway bar linkages were new.... No corrosion. But if you do both sides at the same time, once you have removed the top nuts on both struts, the sway bar, with a little prying, will rotate enough the old struts can be removed, and new set in place.
Just did this recently. It actually is not that hard after you start. You can do without removing sway bar link. Just use couple small bottle jacks to maneuver shock and arm where you want it. I say do it yourself because you will clean all things under those panels - it collects horrific amount of dust. Pros chase $ they do not have time to clean all those crevices. This all is very doable in a day of slow work on a weekend. If you have air tools and car lift helps big time. Torque wrench a must here.
3:37 - This far into the video,,,you have got to be kidding me. Why not make a compartment access to those mounts, rather than removing and rebuilding the entire interior ? - The Dealer needs to include not only a 3 day survival kit, but a tool box complete classroom in these death traps.
On your video replacing the front struts on this same vehicle you removed the axle nuts but didn’t on this video for the rear struts. Is there a reason why you would need to remove them for the rear?

After watching this video I have two thoughts:
1) I can do this.
2) I don't want to do this.
Tutorial videos don't get any better then this. Thank you.
This is one of the best repair videos I've seen 👏 Nice job.
Always I like to watch this guy videos
Dodge should be ashamed to require all this disassembly to reach strut and spring... Never a Dodge again!
right, had a 2011 Dodge Charger. you have to completely remove the front bumper and a bunch of paneling just to replace the headlights.
Well than be disappointed in any vehicle that has rear struts, GM is even worse
I'm just gonna cut a hole in the panel cause it'll be covered up by the seat anyway...

It'd be great to see a video on the 2013 dodge journey sxt 3.6l without the third row seat.
I like the way the torque wrench is used to ensure those lower suspension bolts are gudntite!
Why didn't they put in access panels to remove the nuts
Because everything is a damn Journey with this car...
Thank you for the awesome video! I really like all the details! This was very informative! Keep them coming! Great job!

This is absolutely disgusting. I'm so glad I got out of automotive and into heavy equipment.
Is the left rear strut the same as the right rear strut?
Someone want to tell me if I could just drill a hole to be able to stick a socket in? Is there a reason I can't just do that
Just got a quote for 755 bucks for this job.Sounds about right for all u gotta do geez....

Good video. What a nightmare of a job, bet the dealer charges an arm and a leg 👀
By the time you take all that apart, you don’t wanna do the job after
WHO WOULD EVER THINK STRUTS NEED TO BE REPLACED !!!!!
I wanted to vacuum everything before reassembled. 😂
Que proyecto me espera mañana!!😬😖😡
Take a shot every time you hear aspect.
Thanks
It looks like 2009 -10 strut that was removed and a 2011 and new strut replaced
That sucks so bad I need mine done
Dodge should be ashamed
