Spent the entire time without comparing After Effects to Fusion. Comparing After Effects to Davinci resolve colour page is just off.

yeah if somebody do a clear non biased comparison then da vinci resolve will win because nobody is familier with powers of fusion and fairlight as well. fusion is the tab which is considers equally powerful like nuke for compositing in industry
Its an biased comperision brothers, I am using da vinci from a long time i can clearly say that you can do professional compositing, vfx, sound design, editng, media organisation, color grading, in a single software for free. nobody who supports adobe want to let you know reality. I am not saying that adobe is bad but i want to let you know da vinci is amazing and good software to learn as well
I went from AE to Davinci then back to AE last year, when I asked the top 3 Davinci Resolve designer/editors in youtube to replicate a still image water fall into a realistic waterfall.. the 1st one refered me to the top 2nd one (Will not mention names - they will be upset.) 2nd one said it takes time, never again replied, third one did not even bother to reply, all full of shish, not even the creators responded, so what's the main purpose of Davinci? coloring, photography refinement, and more of course but with more time involved even with a pro doing the job, which is why companies, for people who have the time, davinci is great for design companies, AE is still the fastest, still has thousands of ready plugins which can make the time from 8 hours of work to 1 hour of work. Davinci is free so the feedback from pro's they love to keep to themselves to keep their pride up which is sad. I deleted the waterfall video, but might put it up again in the future to continue to ask other Davinci pro's about the challenge. If you want to do it let me know and I'll re-upload the video, other youtubers have it up. But there's even more that cant be done in Davinci, or maybe it can be done, but not one person willing to take the time? not sure but I went back to AE even I love Davinci, certain effects and manipulations are just easier in AE then davinci takes care of the refinements.
I am just learning to video edit and learn to design motion graphics and some cool animations for my vids. Will you suggest AE or fusion?
One more thing, why I can't dynamic link my clip to AE?

To me After Effects wins hands 🙌 down in all categories except pricing.

I really feel like there is no way for me too decide... Like seriously. I used FCPX for a long time, now about 2 weeks ago I needed to do some work in Premiere and After Effects (Beginner in both), and I need to say, the interface is like so "boring"... but it just has some crazy features... Mocha AE, like I don't know anything that does tracking so well and it is not even Mocha Pro... Also the Text based Editing is like a dream for UA-cam Videos (yes I know, Resolve has it to, but I think not for German language).
But here comes the problem, everything else, except tracking and Animation / Motion Graphics, Resolve wins easy... The interface top notch, the hardware (speed editor and mini panel) world class, the grading ability insane. Overall plugins for fast videos (motionVFX) better in Resolve.
But then there are these things as I mentioned, text based editing, support for Apple ProRes RAW (DaVinci would need a converter), etc. I am feeling like I need to get both... Also Adobe has things like illustrator, you just make a graphic, put it to after effects, animate it and drag it to premiere like this is soooo easy. Idk how I would do this with Resolve... But as I said, then I get drawn to Resolve because of the Speed editor and the color grading features PLUS the hardware for it (Mini Panel).
Anyone who can bring in some other thoughts? Should I get both? Where do I get the Plugins from motionVFX - Resolve or Premiere? Are there things I don't know yet? I would really appreciate any help or input so I can make a decision soon...

I understand that everyone has their individual preferences but to me AE serve my needs in animation, video editing, motion design/graphics, rigging capabilities and general compositing. Even though DaVinci Resolve has a free version, I just found myself drawn to AE every time. I’m learning more about D-R but finds it difficult for some basic tasks.
