The problem with a lot of these surgeons is they don’t give any instruction. I just had a rhinoplasty three weeks ago and my doctor has given no instruction whatsoever. This video was very helpful. Thank you, Dr.

I wish I would have seen this sooner!!! After 8 months of horrible swelling and my surgeon saying “don’t worry, it’s normal and will just take time,” I’m finally going to go against his wishes and start taping and massaging my nose! I see it’s now putting edema, that could have been prevented 8 months ago! 😡 Now to figure out how to get the tip swelling way down. Thank you for this video.

Yes, the main benefit is to reduce swelling. Additional benefits are to keep the nasal bones narrow and maintain straightness of the nose.
I’m 5 weeks post septorhinoplasty I had a bump removed but my swelling is down my side walls quite far down almost into the cheek area and my under eye seems more sunk in from it is this normal?@@edwardjgrossmd

@@unknowndevice2383 yes! But I guess we have to be patient. This is my second surgery after 7 years and I'm not sure when to start the massages but I want it down NOW haha.

@@unknowndevice2383 well it used to be big and it tend to come back to the way it was, not same just little bit, but I wanted to make it small again. Some people do twice even 3 times.

I have done my rhinoplastic in March 2018.
My nose is still swollen ,like a ball .
Have I hope that one day my nose will be normal ? I have done massages but after each massage ,it is swollen more and more.I don't know what to do 😭
Use 2 pillows when you sleep and you can use ice also for the swollen.
Erla erla mine was June 27 of 2018 and it still swollen and numb sensitive in some areas and my skin changed became very oily. I take one BROMELAIN pill once or twice a week. It’s pineapple extract. Helps a lot with swelling.
Bella horn why take bromaline twice? You can’t take it everyday?
You might need to get steroid shots

No way! I am not going to touch my nose like this.. I don't trust myself.
