I find it funny how bad of shots they both are , & how good their clothes are at taking the rounds that do hit . After about the 4th or 5th time playing the game ,I came up to them & just watched . They shot at eachother & danced around cover for over 6mins . Sometimes just A few feet from eachother .I imagine if I hadn't intervened it would've gone on longer . And if I got shot point blank in those clothes ,I'd be dead in less time .
You probably triggered the Art v Art encounter earlier without noticing it. If you walk away and do nothing it will repeat, but the shooting has already begun. One time they were on the overpass near the water treatment plant. I could hear them, but couldn't see them anywhere. Fortunately I was able to find a way up and deal with them. Unfortunately my low charisma just turned the whole thing into a shooting match. I wish, at some point, they would have explained why Art is so important to the Institute to justify replacing him.
@@christopherconard2831 No ,I meant 4th or 5th time playing the game . Sorry . Because ,by then I know what's up ,but was always curious how long it would go on or if anyone would win .
Unless they've changed it, in Trip to the Stars, you do lose out on the extra 100 Alien Blaster rounds promised by Dara for doing as she requested. Which doesn't make sense because where else would they be if not on her corpse. So you're rewarded for helping them out and not if you kill them.
The synth encounter thing: with my high charisma character I made them fight and killed the winner. And my regular character I dropped a high powered grenade between the two.
I am glad to have seen this as I would have put four fusion cores in because while I think the Hubbologists are crazy and weird, let them enjoy their ride for as long as the cores will carry them. Little did I know that it would kill them.
Me: This time I'll make a raider character, I'll steal things and make my own gang and... Player Character: SHAUN!?!?! Have you seem my son? I''m looking for my son. Shaun!
Here's what always gets me: THEY SAY IT CORRECTLY IN THE GAME. Aside the fact that it's a very important biblical name (specifically, a whole book), there's even a band name based on it (Better Than Ezra). OR, the simple fact that the Z came before the R. Three cheers for phonetics.
@@returned4good The story of the Band's name is funny. Supposedly, they were in a Battle of the Bands, but didn't have a name. The top fan favorite was Ezra. So, they listed themselves as being "Better than Ezra".
Fun fact: I got the two Arts encounter while travelling with Nick, and, well, him being a staunch believer in resolving conflicts with as few casualties as possible, he likes it when you tell Art to put down the gun regardless of whether he's the synth or it's the one he's holding at gunpoint, even after the truth is revealed through interrogation. But, seeing as this causes the synth to turn hostile, he also likes it when you help human Art defeat the synth version of himself. I chose the "put the gun down" option after the interrogation because I believed the synth Art could somehow be convinced to leave in peace, ditch the Institute and get outta Dodge with the Railroad or something, but oh well... What I'm getting at is I think Nick's reactions imply he had hopes of the same, but was left with none when the guy turned hostile, defending human Art being the only right thing to do at that point. This encounter truly shows his reluctance to turn to violence unless there really is no other option. He must seriously be the best-written character in the game.
For the Hubologists, I did the three fusion cores at first. I looked up that Gage(?) loves it when you kill the Hubologists. I reloaded the game, grabbed Gage and killed the Hubologists.
Man, I remember my first playthough. Kent's head kept exploding after the dialouge finished. I couldn't win aginst the bandits. So killing him was THE only way. Sign of Quality. There was also the vault 118 quest. I was stuck for so long. Then after looking up a walkthough, I saw that my quest was broken. So I killed everyone.
Killing Kent in the Silver Shroud quest is great because of Sinjin's reaction. Every other outcome, he's cocky and self-assured the whole time. Even if you scare his cronies, he himself will just think they're stupid for fearing you and view you as nothing more than an annoyance, right up until his death. Killing Kent is the one thing that freaks him out and makes him realize how severely he fucked up.
I never knew the Hubologists could survive their "UFO" experience. I always just loaded up the fusion cores thinking you had to, not paying attention to the 3 FCs. Now I gotta go back and do a 12th playthrough just to see their survival! Thanks Nate!
Lol, same here. Did 3 play throughs and thought the Hubologists dieing was the natural outcome of them being idiots. Must admit I would have spun them to death anyway!
Far Harbor really did the whole moral choices spectrum right. You can complete the peaceful route by replacing tektus, and then just killi or capture all the synths since they've outlived their usefulness. And as a hint of dark humor that will also cause the harbor to eventually die; DiMA mentions the harbormen need the Acadia's assintence to keep the condensers in working order.
Stealing the water chip from the ghouls in Necropolis without repairing their water pump was pretty evil, I guess. It was an expeditive way to save your ow people, though. How I miss the old Fallout games...

I found the two Arts really early in my very first play through on top of a building. I had no idea what was happening nor what they were doing. I didn’t know they were clones so instead of approaching them, I just shot the real art to death with my shotgun and than stabbed the other to death.
I’ve seen art countless times in my play through, but never this encounter. They’re always already fighting, so I usually let them fight it out and then execute the winner
Tempenny and Burk had very bad karma and everyone in the Tower had evil karma, and Rob(the ghoul who killed Tempenny) have good karma,so by helping the ghouls you erased one of the most evil factions in Fallout 3
@@SirDankleberry Good for you. :) I never considered the residents of Tenpenny Tower a faction like the chap above said anyway. When I saw what they did to Herbert I loaded in a save and went with the norms. They don't like ghouls and the head ghoul doesn't like norms - it's just one of those can't win situations.
I have came across the Art encounter 3 times, and each time there was no dialogue, they were merely shooting at each other and I had to decide. I chose right.
Fun fact I tried to save both the synth and the real Art. I'll just say it ended with me having to kill the synth, but luckily the real Art lived. I was foolish to think that solving this one would be so simple in the wastelands of Fallout 4. Lol
It really surprised me they sent synths to kill the people they were imitating. My original assumption was that they kidnapped the victim, scanned their brain and face, and then constructed the synth from that. That makes a lot more sense.
. . .I didn't even know it was possible to NOT murder the hubologists. What's the point of an amusement park ride if you're not going to shift into MaXiMUm OvERdRiVE?!
You can actually destroy everyone on the island in far harbor. You can activate the nuclear code in the submarine, turn off the fog condensers, and tell the institute about Acadia. That will result in the Children of Atom’s submarine base being obliterated, fat harbor destroyed, and Acadia ransacked by the institute.
So I didn't know about the whole 3 fusion cores thing my first time through with the hubologits so I just put all 4 of them in because I had cores to spare. It wasn't until I watched oxhorns video on them that I even knew you could save them
With the first evil quest I accidentally didn’t mean to kill them. I remember watching a video talking about them and I was like oh I don’t wanna do that I think they seem really cool. Even though the religion that they’re based off of is a little sketchy, but still they seemed really nice. So when I finally got to that quest and put in the cores I accidentally added the last one. And I was like oh nothings going to happen! I felt so bad my boyfriend called me a murderer for the couple a days
ERZA made me really upset for some reason, just hearing the name EZRA mispronounced so many times gave me a headache, loved the video but holy shit that was brutal
Fun fact: Far Harbour's island is named Mount Desert Island, and it's a real place in Maine, so is the Acadia Observatory. I doubt you'll find heavy radioactive fog, nuclear submarines, synth refuges, or a town full of grizzled fishermen.
What's really evil is that you have the option to kill everyone really, I think even after you pick the peaceful ending. Think about it's you can convince the Children of Atom to blow themselves up, Send the Brotherhood of Steel to kill the Synths at Acadia, and of course turn off the wind turbines and letting Far Harbor Die. Of course then you lose so many vendors and what not but that's neither here nor there. Just kind of a fun tid bit.
I accidentally loaded the fourth fusion core 😂 Edit: Kent also got executed in my playthrough. I'm just accidentally terrible 😂 Edit 2: So about that synth...😂
It took me, quite a a few tries before I realized you really need to walk out and talk to them to get Kent to survive. When I’m the silver shroud, I’m a shadow and a sneaky killer, and not one to confront people but I wanted to save my radio friend, mainly for the upgrades

What?
I've never heard someone say "Murdered to death"
You will hear it on nearly everyone of hia vids
Ah, the Scientologists I mean Hubologists. Love those guys.
hahahaha same thought, plus they have the same base, both from cali, so i rly think thats where the reference came from
The difference with them is that you can actually encounter the beings they talk about
Unless they've changed it, in Trip to the Stars, you do lose out on the extra 100 Alien Blaster rounds promised by Dara for doing as she requested. Which doesn't make sense because where else would they be if not on her corpse. So you're rewarded for helping them out and not if you kill them.
It's no wonder the shorthand for the Silver Shroud is "The SS"
(still one of the best questlines though) (also because of the Mechanist)
The synth encounter thing: with my high charisma character I made them fight and killed the winner. And my regular character I dropped a high powered grenade between the two.
I am glad to have seen this as I would have put four fusion cores in because while I think the Hubbologists are crazy and weird, let them enjoy their ride for as long as the cores will carry them.
Little did I know that it would kill them.

Cait likes it when you accidentally kill all the hubologists

The Hubologists missions made me laugh when I did them. I’m surprised they didn’t have you yell at an ashtray to make it stand up
Question: If as the silver shroud, you use a tranquilizer dart on the ghoul, does the speech check still happen?
The va sounds like he's having a blast playing detective. I'm glad they have lines like that.

The silver shroud is in fact a reference to the shadow ( the original batman ).
He is a pulp hero from the 20s.
If you want to know more, on youtube, a podcast called the shadowcast explain the caracter
"he was murdered to death, and nobody sure who did it"
Oh Lord. I found Art vs Art about twice in my playthrough. But they were in a fire fight. Never got to talk to em. Killed em both.
You kids nowadays are ruining art.
I found the two Arts really early in my very first play through on top of a building. I had no idea what was happening nor what they were doing. I didn’t know they were clones so instead of approaching them, I just shot the real art to death with my shotgun and than stabbed the other to death.
Hmm, the notification actually worked properly, I should buy a lottery ticket, shouldn't I?
Buy one in come back if you win
I’ve seen art countless times in my play through, but never this encounter. They’re always already fighting, so I usually let them fight it out and then execute the winner
For the first evil option I did not know they said only three, I just thought that’s how it normally played out with you coated in blood
You should definitely do some outer worlds content, the game is super fun and I’m sure there are some tiny details you could find in it ;)
Was that "Erza" nonsense intentional?
Keep up the good work my guy I’ve been watching you for over 2 years I can’t wait to see where you go 🙏

That is pretty hilarious how they thought a Gravitron was an actual UFO that was one of my favorite rides at the carnival.
Ten Penny Tower : I convinced the tower dwellers to allow the ghouls. The the ghouls killed them all. I was proclaimed a good guy by 3Dog. ?????
Tempenny and Burk had very bad karma and everyone in the Tower had evil karma, and Rob(the ghoul who killed Tempenny) have good karma,so by helping the ghouls you erased one of the most evil factions in Fallout 3

I have came across the Art encounter 3 times, and each time there was no dialogue, they were merely shooting at each other and I had to decide.
I chose right.
Fun fact I tried to save both the synth and the real Art. I'll just say it ended with me having to kill the synth, but luckily the real Art lived.

If there's no special interaction between Hubologists and you wielding an actual Alien Blaster after killing an actual alien, then I'll cry.

I've seen Art vs. Art in my game so many times that I've done each option, lol.
With the Nuka-World ride, I didnt realize that you only put 3 not 4 so i accidentally killed them and I started crying lmao😂
Same lol
It really surprised me they sent synths to kill the people they were imitating. My original assumption was that they kidnapped the victim, scanned their brain and face, and then constructed the synth from that. That makes a lot more sense.
The funny thing is there's actually a broken ufo nearby
Lol. Damn.

"Murdered to death" I laughed out loud. Love it.
"Who was murdered to death!"
-Nate
The island is called Far Harbor, Acadia is just the synth refuge
Yep, so named because it sits within the borders of Acadia National Park.
The first time I played the silver shroud quest Kent died because I got lost in the hospital, i swear that place is such a maze

It took me, quite a a few tries before I realized you really need to walk out and talk to them to get Kent to survive. When I’m the silver shroud, I’m a shadow and a sneaky killer, and not one to confront people but I wanted to save my radio friend, mainly for the upgrades
Why the hell would anyone kill Kent he literally can end up making the silver shroud armor the best armor in the game
the silver shrouded lines in the DLCs are hilarious highly recommend replaying as him
Just a few friendly corrections for you, the island is actually called Mount Desert Island, and the synth settlement of Acadia is a stellar/space observatory, it didnt have to do anything with wildlife on the island. And last tiny pointless correction, its Ezra Parker not Erza Parker.
