I am absolutely terrified of spiders and can't even be in the same room with a tarantula. My boyfriend thinks I'm a weirdo for watching these as I either flip out about the tiniest spider that makes it's presence known or become paralysed with fear if the spider is bigger than a dime. Your videos are amazing and I find myself being able to tolerate spiders a little bit more after watching each video that you post. Your little velvet spider has grown on me and I find it very cute. Thank you for being you and helping me overcome my fear little by little.

Reptiles, snakes, monitor lizard, Goliath bird eating tarantula, scorpions, and 2 pit vipers and there were a few escapes that drove her out of her own house for the night (and nearly got us thrown out!) When I had my 2 Goliath Tarantulas, I kept them in 20 gallon long aquariums. At the time, both were much larger than yours, but they had room to move around. I 💕 love the way you arranged the enclosure for your Tarantula. I never knew much about the kind of plants to use, so I opted for other decorations, like miniature cattle skulls that the pet stores sell or flat pieces of rock. Also, I would feed them mice once in a while, crickets, mealworms or large hissing cockroaches!

I bought my T stirmi 2 years ago, always wanted one and I love that I decided to spend the not small amount of money I paid for her. Got her from a responsible breeder I know personally and she’s captivity bred, was a not tiny sling 🥰
Now she’s eating like a machine and growing like there’s no tomorrow 😂
I rehoused her into a huge exoterra tank. Don’t know if I have to rehouse her again, I wouldn’t be unhappy about no more rehousings... she has some temper issues and doesn’t like me 🤣
At the moment, she eats 1-3 roaches, superworms or grasshoppers a day. She usually stops eating some days before molting, does her molting process, waits for the exoskeleton to harden and starts with eating like crazy again 🥳
She‘s the only T that I see drinking from her water dish, despite the fact I provide her enough well watered feeders and the humidity in the enclosure that she needs.
Have fun with your goliath, dear Kat 💕 it‘s beautiful 💕 greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

My second tarantula I ever had was a t. Blondi, I named her Ungoliant(if you know what that's from, you get a gold star). To this day, never seen another t with such impressive takedowns. Had her for 17 years. I loved her dearly, though I believe she hated me her entire life. She was MEAN and glorious. When my daughter is older I will get another one for her.

KAT one of my all time favorites before I even got into the hobby! You need one I have a young adult female possibly wild caught but she’s in good health and she was at a good price! And I have a 100 captive breed juvenile. Hoping for a male but they are so amazing and beautiful

I just got a T. stirmi, it was a tough choice between the two. I finally succumbed to the burgundy because it seems the majority of them get larger than the blondis in captivity. Excellent addition, my dear!

Love your new T, Kat!!!! I'm in the same boat as you- while I do love this species and think they are so cool, I just don't know if I am equipped enough to keep them as a pet. But maybe one day!!!
And also, a little tip for you- a general rule for potting cuttings in soil is to do so when the roots are at least 2 inches long☺ so i definitely think your pothos was good to go.
