    that's a good idea to make a shovel out of an old milk jug.

      Ya I love that thing. I think it was a gallon vinegar bottle. That thicker plastic works great. I might do a video on plastic bottle hacks. Thanks

    How fast do blackberry plants that size grow? I just planted a sweetie pie blackberry plant about that size two months ago. Still healthy and two canes have emerged, but not too much growth. Great tips.

      They grow slow at first but once established they should do well and certain types only turn into a bush not a long vine. Give it a little time and thick mulching layers

    We actually bought some acid pellets and put a scoop of it in every month. So far it's worked out ok, got a decent amount of blueberries this year.

      I would call some local nurseries in your particular area. They would know the best varieties to grow there. Some climates do better than others.

      Thats great. Good idea to use the leaves as mulch. South facing is best with that full sun. Cheers from San Diego.

    How many gallons (size) is your bag, I wonder? Thanks.

    • @GrowingOrganicTvShow
      @GrowingOrganicTvShow  Рік тому +1

      I believe that was a 5 gallon or 7. 5 is fine for starting out.

      @@GrowingOrganicTvShow Thanks very much for your advice reply. But I don’t want to transplant. To a bigger container or onto unraised clay soil.
      The point of your video, I guess, is that, we can all grow blackberry plants in just grow bags, right? So I suppose the final bag for non-transplanters should be a [final destination] 10 gallon one, would you say??? Thanks, again. 😊🙏
