  • A beautiful autumn day for a walk in the Wye Valley. Starting at Symonds Yat Rock car park it's not long before fantastic views open up from the lookouts at Yat rock.
As the ferry only starts operating at about 11am I walked own the River Wye past the rapids to the wire bridge at Biblins.
After crossing the river I ventured up into Lord's Wood to try to find King Arthur's cave where I discovered more than I expected.
The return route dropped back into Symonds Yat west by which time the ferry was up and running.
After crossing the river I made my way back up the steep wooded valley to for one final view point at the look-out above Bowler's Hole.
I then made my way back to the car after nipping up to the cafe to grab a coffee.
The Ordnance Survey map route I took for this 6.3 mile walk can be found here: explore.osmaps...
The Start point is here: maps.app.goo.g...

I had a problem with the front facing camera - sorry that the video quality is a bit poor for those parts!

It’s beautiful. Especially when the sun shines.
