Loved your podcast! You are already making beautiful things. Can't wait for podcast No. 2 and many more. 73 years old, knitting and crocheting as much as I can. :)
Enjoyed your podcast and your chill personality. You completed so many beautiful garments and can't wait to see more from you. I love PetiteKnit patterns and have learned so much from her - I like the classic and the different construction methods. Stay true to who you are - you're awesome as you are. Cheers!
Love your wips! Especially the brown mohair! My sister gifted me a light that goes around the neck and it is awesome for knitting dark colors. Wishing you the best & many blessings
The mohair combination is a very nice fabric. it's going to take some time as I'm mostly doing it on the side of other garments but I can't wait for the moment I finish it and I can actually wear it.
I am so happy to have found you at the beginning of your podcasts. That makes two! Another from AUS. I’m a beginner knitter (pretty good at crochet). So I’m truly enjoying finding new content creators in this hobby as I learn. I love your WIPs. I think a lot more thought must go into garments than I previously considered even when crocheting. I love your cat. So bummed about the Louvre sweater for you. Your cloud sweater is gorgeous. I love the yarn.
You are doing really well. I’m in Indiana in the US and have knit for 4 years. You are doing fantastic for as long as you have done garments. Love your Moby. I made the Shore sweater because I thought the Moby would be more difficult. Also, I still pick the wrong yarn at times. You get in a hurry and pick something up quickly and then wonder why you bought what you did. When I need a project I want to have something immediately. That is my impatience. Keep podcasting. I think you will do great.
That is very sweet! The moby has indeed been a bit of a challenge but up until has been worth it. As it gives a great fulfillment when you figure out how to do it. So i would definitely recommend.
Hello from Idaho, USA. Love the look and color of the gray sweater and share your sadness that it is pilling so badly. I have only had two knits pill that badly and both were 100% alpaca. Interestingly, another 100%alpaca knit is old and has not pilled at all. The Moby sweater looks great and the yarn choice shows off the pattern. Nobody will notice the mistakes. Be quiet and keep knitting! And the gray socks will pill but who cares, they are socks. Wear long pants. That Finn wool looks lovely. Anyway, I enjoyed your podcast and look forward to the next one!
Sometimes it's just a mystery when yarn will pill or not. I guess we just keep trying and hope for the best. And about the socks, you're right, just need to find the motivation in finishing them. Good to hear you liked the video and thank you for watching!
Really enjoyed this, you’ve achieved so much in a relatively short time. You’re keeping it real and it’s like hanging out with my daughter - though a scarf is all she’s come up with so far! Keep going!
Hello, nothing wrong with just buying your yarn as you need it!!! You will always have room in your house then as the yarn stash sometimes becomes too big to ever knit in a lifetime. Did you ask your yarn shop if the cotton yarn you are thinking of using for your Boyfriends socks is a proper yarn for socks? I also have made a sweater from a yarn that is piling very badly. I think it was because it is a single yarn instead of any additional strands. We are in the process of cleaning it up with the yarn clipper. Good luck on your future podcasts.
Maybe consider felting your pill covered sweater? You can felt it little by little over multiple washings to get size right. In this circumstanc we, the pilling becomes a great advantage. 😊
Still need to watch the episode in full but YT just recommended you and I saw you’re also living in Amsterdam so wanted to say Hi! I’m also living here
Thank you for saying hi! Hope you will like the video. I see that you're also sharing your knitting here on YT, hope to get around in watching some of your videos this week. Groetjes, it's nice to hear from a fellow knitter based in Amsterdam (:
leuke podcast, je hebt een rustige stem, hou ervan. Je breiwerk ziet er fantastisch uit. Wat die trui met pluisjes betreft, mischiendeze trui even een week in de diepvries steken kan helpen. nog veel breiplezier.
Hi, loved your podcast! And I want o tell you, don't be sorry for using PetiteKnit patterns, because I think she is perfect for beginners, and using her patterns you can learn a lot, and be prepares to other designer works:) so I think you did it good:)
Haha, the cats just love wool and things that are getting more attention than them in the moment. And of course a great cat name if i say so myself 😊Thank you for watching!
I would wash the grey sweater, ,put it in a sink or tub, with wool wash, hot water, straight from the tap, and soak it, then spin it out in the washing machine, lay it to dry, dye pill, and see.
Good tip! Defending going to try this, but I'm a bit scared to put it in the washing machine.. most of the time I roll them in a towel and walk over it to push out all the water
Measure your head. Make a larger hat. Ask the knit shop about gauge. You need to match the gauge to the yarn. Ask your knit shop how to get a hat to fit you. It's called gauge.
I think you have great potential for a good podcast but you seem not very enthusiastic. People watch podcast to get inspiration and enjoyment. Try not to be so down on yourself, you are doing great with your knitting and your projects are very nice.
Thank you for watching! As this was my first ever podcast I still have to figure out what the best way to go is. But it's very good to hear you liked the projects I showed!
Actually I liked that you were not so overexcited, but rather calm. Inspiring people doesn’t have to be done loud and pushing. Perhaps an American thing, to be so excited all the time, maar jij bent nederlands 😊. I would love to see something other than PetitKnit, as that seems to be shown everywhere all the time. Keep going, I loved watching you!
super cosy video, knitted along with a lush mint tea. Love the Petite Knit addiction, surely we all have that issue :)
Keep it up!
Thanks! Groetjes uit Amsterdam

TOTALLY agree. So relatable and sweet. ❤

You have the potential to be a good knitter. Keep going. You’ll gain experience and build up your self-confidence.

I love your video and hope to see more of your work and your cute cat 😻
Would love to see some frames of short clips of you wearing the finished objects ❤
Yes I'm going try to implement it in my next video! Thanks for watching!

Great first video! I’m curious with your socks that you’re concerned with pilling wondering if they will actually felt with wear. 💕 all your knits!
Enjoyed the podcast

Your shirt is beautiful!! Can I ask where you got it?
Thank you! It's from a brand called VANILIA. It's a Dutch brand but I believe they do ship outside of the EU as well.
Thanks! I love your green plant. Do you know the name of it?
It's an Alocasia Portadora, very beautiful but dramatic plant haha. But once you figure out their personality they can grow very big
I❤Petite knit! 🧶 she has great style, and I have learned so much from here! Hi from B.C. ,Canada.
