Project vlog - Knitting the Maxine Hot Water Bottle Cover
I wish my LYs was the one from Stephen west❤. I have to come to Visite Amsterdam 😂… I will knock on your door too.. just for knitt and chat😂🧶
Love your vlogs. That hot water bottle is very sweet.
Helical knitting looks so much better!
❤
You inspired me a couple weeks ago to also buy hand dyed yarn for my camisole no 9 🙈 and this would also be my first speckled top in my closet. Hope we will like it and wear it. 🤡
Oee good to hear! And let's hope we like it in the end😊 is a whole lot of work on these tiny needles.... for it to end up in the back of the closet
Je breit zo professioneel en netjes wow
Beautiful knits. Have you finished them, you are nearly there with all of them. The cardigan is gorgeous. I went away and brought tons of yarn , needles and projects but still didn’t.t have quite the right things that I needed ! Thanks for sharing.
Lots of tutorials on button bands! You can do this!! I enjoy your channel.
Your Daydreamer cardigan is looking so great! For the camisole with the arm holes that seem huge right now - the i-cord might help cinch it up?
super cosy video, knitted along with a lush mint tea. Love the Petite Knit addiction, surely we all have that issue :)
Kutovakika has a tutorial on how to knit a button band for a v-neck cardigan, it's the same technique she suggests one uses on the Daydream Cardigan. Here's the title of the video: Darling Cardigan Knit Tutorial w/ Double Knitted Buttonband :)
@@NoName-eq5wn thank you 🙏
Thank you for at great episode 😍 I had the same issue with The Twisted Loop Top. In stead of having around 160 stitches, I picked up only 110 - and that was perfect! You can see me wearing it in my latest podcast (which is in Danish). Good luck with all of your projects ☺️👏🏻
Great progress on your projects! May I suggest using stitch markers to help keep the pickup even on your button bands. Take care til next time!
Thanks! Will definitely incorporate this tip!
Great video and love your sock pattern, can’t see we’re is your purl stitch count on the leg, would love to make them 😊thank you
I've put them on the side (one on the front part of the stitches, and one in the back part of the stitches) if that makes sense
@@kimberleytjeerdsma thank you 😊
Lots of projects. 🎉 Thanks for you showing your wips. Especially the camisole no. 9. Please try helixal knitting. 3 stitches before the next yarn starts, you drop the working yarn. You slip the 3 stitches and start with the other yarn. Knit one round and again you stop 3 stitches before the beginning of the next working yarn. You slip the 3 stitches and take the other yarn. I hope this makes sense. Please try it. 😊 It is a gamechanger. Really!!!❤
Oee thank you! Definitely going to try this, as this sounds it will be showing less than the technique i'm using now. 😊
I just wanted to come back here and thank you for this tip again! It's turning out lovely and so easy!
Your wips look great Kimberly. I have too many things on the needles right now too. I am currently doing 2 test knits but they are construction I haven’t tried before so lots of great learning happening. Have a great week.
Ohh sounds good! Its always a good feeling mastering some new techniques, good luck!
Leuke vlog! Waar komt je project bag vandaan? Ziet er super handig uit
Beautiful trip. There’s no place quite like Italy. Your camisole is so pretty. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Thanks for taking us along on your trip, I love Italy !
Just magic loop it😊
Yess when i got home immediately switched to a shorter cable so i could join in the round (:
I love the yarn you chose for the camisole!
I have just spend 4 Weeks i Italy. So great! Love it… do you speak italian of german? I am Swiss and yes i do😅
Oe nice! Hope you had a lovely time! No i speak Dutch, but my boyfriend speaks some words Italian so that helped a lot!
I also was 2 stitches to big swatch with 3 mm needles. But changed into 2,5 mm so we'll see if it will be good.
Hi Kimberly. You should definitely alternate skeins, but often people only do it on the body part, when joined in the round. Try helixal knitting. No visible changes. Good luck. I already made 2 camisoles # 9.
Yess I started alternating skeins after the straps, seems to be working nicely so very happy with that (: and very good to hear you already made two camisoles, looking forward to be able to wear mine!
I don’t alternate hand dyed yarn and I have never had an issue from the dyers I have used. I have now knit 5 sweaters in hand dyed and have had 0 issue.
And how is your daydreamer cardigan?
Plan on recording a new Podcast next week! And will definitely talk about my daydreamer cardigan
Great vlog x
I start alternating ever row once I join in the round. My go to is helical knitting easy I have found if you switch on the side it is visible atleast in my experience
Thankyou! I started doing the alternating after the straps (:
This was a video about how you went out of your way to avoid starting a knitting project. I guess maybe you thought you were cute or showing how quirky you are ?Maybe you're just not really into it right now and need a break. I am a little annoyed that I sat and watched an entire video about someone who said in the title that they were doing this particular cami, only to watch clipa of you running here and there instead which had nothing to do with what the videos title claimed it was about. Glad you had a fun couple of weeks, thats great. But if you had properly titled it as Netherland lady vlog about flying to France, grabbing coffee, lounging around apartment and getting high at a festival, I wouldn't have clicked on the video.. Because I'm not interested in that. I was interested in seeing someone work on cami 9. Watching you flaunt how social and busy you are as you repeatedly decided to not start the pattern..not cute or quirky. Thanks anyway.
This comment seems a little harsh, no? The first 11.5 mins were the knitting vlog, and she told us what her plans were and what equipment she was using and she showed off the swatch she’d knitted. There was, like, a grand total of 15 seconds of additional footage in there to demonstrate the passing of time. Then, after the knitting vlog had ended, she gave us less than 3 mins of footage about her everyday life. She even said goodbye and added a title card so you could easily tell when the knitting content was finished. If you aren’t enjoying a video, no one is making you finish it. You can just stop watching at any time. Hope this helps!
I agree full heartedly… I love seeing her everyday life! It gives it a personal touch. I actually hope she keeps incorporating these mini vlogs! And if u don’t enjoy it, please just click away. Like literally, it just takes one click to not watch it if you’re not enjoying it 😅

Yes alternate. I do by switching each row on the side of the garment. Can’t wait to see!!!
If you haven’t already recommend you block your Maude…. Nice podcast and lovely makes… just found you.
Thankyou!
Wow!
Great socks ❤
Hooray🎉 I knew the second go would turn great, congratulations!
Just an advice, the music is too loud, your voice is barely noticeable. (Idk if that was you intention), anyway, looks really nice.
❤
UR SO TALENTED ALSO UR REALLY PRETTY TOO
That was fun with the sock try on 😂😂I knit my sons socks on 2.75 needles and 64 stitches he is a uk size 10 feet (adult) there are some calculations you can make to get the right size sock and Ellie from craft house magic has a you tube video on this if you can find it. Maybe it will help you 😊x
Ohh thankyou! Definitely going to check that video out. I'm now knitting 64 stitches on the 2.5 mm needless. Hoping that will work
😢 sorry you had to rip back, but they will be so nice! I made my husband a hat many years ago that was much too big and he pulls it out occasionally to have a good laugh! It’s ridiculous, but he won’t let me rip it back because he thinks it’s so funny that I thought his head was the size of a bison or Bigfoot!
Good luck with the re-knit! I like the design you chose for the socks!
Thankyou!
Have a great day. Enjoy seeing you more comfortable in your videos. The socks will be a wonderful labor of love. I call it “going rogue” when I combine patterns to make my own design. It’s usually a massive failure but I always learn something new so in that case, it’s still a success.
Thank you! 😊 we will learn along the way, hope we end up with some beautiful socks.
Love the design! Sorry you had to rip it, but I’m sure it will turn out right on the second go👍 Will be looking forward to see how it’ll go😊
I agree with @Esmeraldasanz about a solution to your blue polo top. It is very lovely by the way! I must also add, that I have had really good luck posting such questions on the ravelry forum or maybe even seeing other tips from other knitters who have knit it. I think the puckers come from the different gauges between the body and the ribbing and that like you said you maybe knit the ribbing too tight. But Ravelry has a lot of experienced knitters willing to give advice. Good luck! It will be nice to use that lovely sweater.
Your knitting is so beautiful especially moby slipover.. can you tell me the length of your slipover ❤️
I think the body looks good on you, and the collar is lovely. I'd do some surgery, cut above the elastic band both in the body and the arms and then pick the stitches and knit a rib edge, probably twisted 1/1rib and then do a tubular cast off. I've once done that cutting, UA-cam tutorials, and it's magic. Esmeralda
You could always not finish the sleeves until you've done the rest of the cardigan to decide on the length of them
Does the snefug pill a lot?
My projects that I have knitted barely have pilling, but the snefnug does shed a lot in the beginning. So with black clothing you have to take in mind that you will be covered in fluff haha. But after a while it stops.
Prachtige kleur van je vest.. ik vind je kledingstijl gaaf daar gaat hij leuk in passen.. succes met de laatste loodjes!
Dankjewel!
Oooh, die zero zero broodjes zijn zó goed 🤤
Love this type of vlogging podcasts ☀️ You’ve inspired me to add the Daydreamer Cardigan to my to knit list, as yours looks absolutely gorgeous!
Thankyou! Yess it's a lovely knit, having a lot of fun knitting it up especially in this color ☺️
