My family on both sides were from Pachino (both sets of grandparents were born there)- I never thought I'd see see a video online of how to make this! My mom made it all the time and I love it. Thank you Nonna Pina for sharing your recipes!
@@nonnapinassiciliancucina oh that's really interesting!!I'm sure many people from that region would know one another. Sadly my parents are no longer with us to share this video with, they would have a got a real kick out of it especially if they knew one another. Please continue to share her cooking skills and recipes while you can.
Thank you Nonna Pina for a delicious recipe - just made Voda Voda and loved it - from a fellow Italian from Siderno, Calabria and his Macedonian girlfriend 🙂
Haha my partner's parents are Sicilain from Termini Imerese and I'm Macedonian. Lol I was looking to make this as well! However Voda for us means water.
I am watching this now and my mum is from Pachino! I guess my nonna probably used to know your nonna if she grew up in Pachino! :) Great recipe, we'll make it, thank youuu
Love vota vota. My parents are Pachinese and I grew up making and eating these. My favourite is onion, ricotta and sausage. We also make them with parsley, potatoes, sundries tomatoes and sardines.
Just onions caramelized, one has sausage, dried tomatoes, you can use Ricotta cheese, parsley, some Chili flakes, fried potatoes with a bit of pizza sauce. Make it plain or with sausage. Hope this helps.
Bravo VOTA-VOTA
SICILIANO💯👍🥀

It’s not pizza dough ? I need the recipe for the dough. My Aunt made it all the time. I think it’s a semolina dough.
Son sounds too nervous comes off as pushy, sorry that’s how I hear it
