A cool trick to find the trait you want is to manual save and load right before you open the trait chests. repeat until you find it that way you dont waste all of the chests. You can eventually have multiple sets of upgraded and high trait gear stashed in your inventory for any given situation if you farmed enough.
Such a fun idea for a themed playthrough! The barrow puns were masterful as well. 😂 FYI - Even before you get the ability to plant Venemous Tentacula, you can pick the ones on the greenhouse. 🌱
The beauty of cabbages and tentcula's is you can deploy them without breaking stealth. The mandrake not so much;). Also, while you're waiting for the Herbology trait to show up Fangs (which improves the damage of just the cabbages) can be an option.

Love the guide, two minor notes for getting started as fast as possible; there are those eye chests that can only be opened when invisible, there are a bunch of them around Hogsmeade, if you run and collect them all it's a quick 6000 coins to get started with planting. Also, for me, I never needed to buy the small pot tables (just 2 large pot tables, and 3 medium pot tables) as small plants will grow in anything, mainly because I never used mandrakes much at the beginning (eventually dropped them completely as I find myself using a lot of Levioso/Accio during fights anyway) and preferred the extra pumpkins or venom plants (can still use one or two pots for mandrakes if you wish, and the extra 1-2 cabbage pots will likely be more useful), and saves you some of the starting gold to boot :).
Thanks for this. I LOVED this video guide because it also showcased the progression and thinking behind some of the decisions. I've just started my second play through (I'm at Hogmeades now) and I got to level 12 by the time I reached the troll. I think I was level 2 or 3 in my first run. I don't know how useful they are versus spiders but I had the most trouble in the beginning versus spiders during Jack Draw's quest. I also will probably upgrade stealth (speed) because I am weary of this 12 inventory slot limitation. Eventually the plan is to get dark arts, so I can be economical with my plant usage. Probably I'll try to use up the big plants first, then mandrakes, then cabbages, or something like that and will use a lot of cloaking attacks as well. Just wondering if you have any more tips now that some time has passed.
My build is set up for cabbages right now but I only use them as a last resort. Or if I'm EXTREMELY lazy. It's just too fast to let the cabbages do all the work!

I just started a 2d playthrough and made a Slytheran, this playthrough will be....opposite of the last =)
Yeah me too. But I am putting points in Ancient Magic and some control spells like levioso or and accio.
I guess it's too late now but to anyone else looking for a specific trait/spellcraft. Just save infront of the collection chest, if it's not what you are looking for, reload and repeat until you get the trait/spellcraft you are looking for.
Now I REALLY want to get this game since you just told me I could use herbology in FIGHT and that I could rescue creatures (I'm a Hufflepuff)
2:00 you really only need the single large pot spellcraft bc any plant can grow in a large pot.
Now I want to play a challenge for each house myself!
Any suggestions for the other houses?
I have full ideas for Slytherin and Ravenclaw that I'm working on videos for in that order. Not a clue what I'll do if anything for Gryffindor
@@Fracture.Gaming only stupefy and expelliarmus and goody-two-shoes spells?
Same, i am looking to make my Hufflepuff a crowd control monster while the plants do all the killing, i also want to do a stealth run as far as thats possible because thats a playstyle i enjoy in a lot of games
Go though a dark magic arena without using dark magic. Did it myself.
I wish there was a survival mode or something because the herbology build is almost too strong.
That looks so much fun! Though, I should've listened to your warning.💀
lmao, I really couldn't resist but knew I had to warn people so they at least had a choice... Thanks for watching :)
Some of the boss fights I didn’t even recognize I was in one. I would throw all the plants out and the boss would die before I even knew what happened lol
The real boss would be if we had to fight against one of our cabbages
ur content is so good and u have potential to be big content creator , so remember us when u hit 1million subs
much love and support
Thanks so much, that's a very heartwarming thing to hear :) if I grow quickly enough I can hire an editor and quit my real job & actually make videos quickly instead of super duper slow...
@@Fracture.Gaming I recommend to creat a discord channel surely it wont be that crowded but u gonna meet wonderful people and we all can communicate way easier and maybe u get some new ideas.
I LOVED this video in its entirety. Please do more, earned yourself a new sub
Thanks!! I have Slytherin and Ravenclaw done, and video editing for Gryffindor is happening right now!
@@Fracture.Gaming i rly Hope you Go Tage harry-expeliamus Route hehe
Funnily enough, this is exactly what I've been doing with my Hufflepuff character lol. Plants and potions.
I feel like poison ivy with my plant babies. Hufflepuff supremacy.
I’m a Ravenclaw and I approve of this message. Seriously, throwing plants around is so satisfying, especially while stealthing around and hearing what the goblins say when they are being devoured by vegetables.
This challenge should involve petting every cat too.
