Great tutorial! At 61yo. Purchased my first car. (Typhon3s). Into it for 2 weeks😊. Your vids. have helped tremendously to understand the maintenance so I can enjoy the life . Going to go burn some packs. Thanks for all your help!
This was an awesome video. I have been curious about how slippers work, but never cared to research it. But this is great because I'm about to buy an ARRMA Senton 3S and I have many different surfaces. I can now figure out how to set the slipper for each environment! Thank you AJ! Love the content man!
U break this down so well. It's like how Barney, the purple dinosaur, can get a toddler to singing the abc song. Sheew.. thank u for speaking slowly and for being a well-spoken person period. I struggle so bad with my slipper clutches, but i have understood everything u have spoken about!!!🏆🏆
I've been looking everywhere for a guide on upgrading the vorteks boost 4x2 mega 550 brushed to the blx motor / esc and can't find it. Have you covered that and I just am not seeing it, or can you suggest a vid?
Hey AJ! I have been loving your videos recently. I was wondering if you'd be up to get the V3 ARRMA Senton 3S? They have lots of upgrades over the old ones and I really want to see your opinion on it! Thanks AJ 👍
Usually on loose surfaces you tight the Slipper up, and on hightraction surfaces like asphalt or carpet you loose it a little bit. How much depends on tires, traction and power system.
Hey AJ love the 101 content!! A little off topic, looking for an Arrma Kraton 6s BLX V4 front Bulkhead replacement video. Do you already have one and if not would you consider doing one?
Will playing with the clutch help lower my motor temps? I have a Kraton 4s that I put a Mamba Monster 2 with a Castle Creations 2200Kv and it’s getting to hot. Stock gear on lose dirt, half throttle. I plan to lower the pinion gear from 13T to 12T and a motor fans to help. Plus check the software settings.
It may help a little but I wouldn't slip it too much as the power sent to it will only serve to burn it out. Lowering the gearing, or lightening up the tires will help more. Thanks for asking.
@@AJJAMStudios Oh yeah thanks. I remember my Rustle was like that and why I crank it tight. I didn’t bring the 6s to the party just to rev the motor. Lol. I’ll have to go back thru the video to see how to test the slip and probably tighten it. It lifts on demand, but back flips are ok too. Lol.
You can set the slippage. So I would say, kind of, but not really the same. The differential does way more for handling than the slipper can. Allowing the wheels to be independent and not locked together means better setups are possible. With the slipper this is not really possible. Thanks for the comment. 😎👍
I'm a bit confused by Arrma's 3sBlx slipper. The front is connected to one slipper pad while the rear is connected to 3. This makes it hard to tune. E.g. When you adjust for little rear slip, you still have massive front slip. And if you adjust for little front slip, the rear will be locked up. I'm trying to figure out another solution.
There is no separation, front and rear. The drive shaft is solid. The slip pads work together. It is not like a diff at all. The front and read are not independent. I hope this helps. 😎👍
That is a real difference from the mega and boost stuff. I can’t believe we missed that. Give me some time to look into that. I’ll get back to you with our findings. Thank you for pointing that out 😎👍

Hey brother, love the channel. Where can I get one of those chassis mounted wheelie bars for the Kraton 6s?
They don’t make them anymore. I wish they still did. Thanks for joining us 😎👍
So does this mean if you maintain the slipper properly Arrma Slipper clutch is good?
Great 101 if I'm just bashing on dirt would I keep the slipper a little tighter so the rear will slide when I want it to on 2wd slipper setup
Testing would be required to find that sweet spot but yes. 😎👍

Are you speaking of the forward diff housing?

Great information brother great video all around
Just like the limited slip differential on a 4 wheel drive vehicle only different components ?

@@AJJAMStudiosIf you loosen it enough, you can turn the front and rear outputs independently by hand.
