@@AJJAMStudiosReally scars the neighbors. Thought we would catch the tree, or the trailer on fire. Scary for sure..Glad I don't own an electric vehicle.
This is so valuable! I had to learn the hard way last year, when an old guy on a bicycle fell over my x-maxx. Luckily he was relatively un scaved. But it scared the sht out of me.
In public areas, I’ve found bikers and joggers to be the hardest to watch out for. Vehicles usually can be heard coming from a good ways off, and pedestrians are slow enough to be seen before they come up on you. But cyclists and joggers can move both silently enough and quickly enough to be behind you before you realize they’re there.
Great video!!! Always should be safety first!! Planning is a major part for the enjoyment of the hobby. Gotta have the space and a place for the car you pick. This video needs to be shared as much as possible!! And as always, great video and keep them coming!!! Would love to see some DB pro action with paddle tires!!
Great video AJ. I think I will employ a safety briefing before each run . This might seem over the top for some.....my wife and I run together and it's often missed to "look where you're going before you get there".....I'm guilty of it myself. I've got big, heavy, fast rigs that would kill life forms if they are on the receiving end. I've seen people or animals pop out of nowhere (it happens fast) and hated myself for not employing the above rule......always, always make sure the coast is clear.
Thanks for your safety tips. I now keep my batteries in fireproof sacks inside of a steel ammo box. I did everything wrong with my old batteries (charged them and let them sit for years. They were very puffed out!) I found that Home Depot and Lowes have battery disposal/ recycling bins in the store.
Very nice channel this here, bought a used Typhon because of you. The steering is very loose, has a lot of slack. not quite figured out why, wear and tear maybe. Anyway, very informative channel. Thanks
Thanks for sharing all this great information. Instinctively when there is a fire in an RC we try to disconnect the battery. Not a smart thing to do and will cost more for medical bills than the car. The burning lithium creates a metal fire existing at temperatures of 2,000 degrees Celsius/3632 degrees Fahrenheit. That's hard on the skin for sure.
Hold this W for this Safety Video!! Im glad that I can go back to this when i get my Traxxas Slash and Kyosho Fazer Camaro! A couple of questions tho: Where can i charge my Lipo batteries if i dont have a garage or a way to charge it outdoors?? Imma get a fireproof box or something like that and a fire extinguisher. Will the multi class extinguisher help reduce the potential flames or nah? Can you fast charge a Lipo battery after balance charging them??
First question, not really with the fire extinguisher. The batteries don’t need anything else to bite so putting the out is nearly impossible so getting them outside or into a flame proof place is paramount. Second question, it is possible to fast charge them, however, the risk is much greater. We never fast charge lipos. For safety reasons we balance charge only. I hope this helps. 👍
@@AJJAMStudios Thank you for your response! I'll definitely keep that in mind if that ever happens but i hope that it doesn't...fingers crossed**** And balance charging it is! How long does it take for a Lipo Battery to Balance Charge Usually? I have 2 3S Batteries at around 4000 Mahs each
Salve ottimo video ma'vorrei un opinione come mai non riesco a equilibrare lo sterzo della mia arrma felony mi tira tutto à sinistra e sto impazzendo grazie mille per la risposta 👍
Do you have any videos on how to make a really stiff shock a little more soft? I am referring to the not so hobby graded rc shocks rather than he toy-ish cheaper ones . Is there a way to at least make them a litle bit better ?
So how can I participate in this hobby if I live in an apartment without a garage or outside place to put my batteries? I've been using a BatBox for storing and charging my batteries....is that OK? Also...how do you find good locations to run your vehicles? I'd imagine it's not an issue if you live in a rural area, but how bout for us suburban/urban folks?
Wow, that's a tough one. First, this is in no way legal advice, so there's that, but keeping the batteries is a safe place is important. The need for flame retardant area is also needed, but beyond that, having a metal storage mechanism such as a steel ammo box really helps, and if you can get a larger one to keep that box in also would be helpful, granting you double protection. But think of this...if you have several batteries inside the same box, what happens when one decides to go bad? We ventilate the top of our ammo boxes with a 1/4 inch hold and then tape that hole over with simple electricians tape to allow for the pressure to escape if there is an issue. Also, that hole directs the hot gasses upward and away from the floor. Be sure you have nothing flammable around the storage box. I sat mine on a couple of bricks to keep the heat away from the flooring when we lived in town. No one wants to see their house catch fire. Also, to get to the second question, RCs will run just about anywhere. The trick is...finding a place that is not inundated with people. Driveways, sidewalks, parks, dirt lots, back yards, front yards, the possibilities are endless. Find what works for you. I hope this helps. 😎👍
Mostly just to get them in place. The shelves are a bit small for the bigger RCs. However, keeping them off their wheels is said to prevent flat spotting. I haven’t ever suffered that but it is still a possibility. Thanks for asking. 😎👍
Yes zeroing your settings on the radio i kearned that the hard way my first time out like 4 weeks ago i turned on my 6s kraton it was about 10 feet away from me and took off on its own at full speed right into my ankle 4 weeks later it still hurts so ye i can see how u can hurt someone especially a kid
Great info on the "arc" burst just plug em in quickly is the best thing said, great info my friend
We figured the majority of enthusiasts hadn’t heard of arc burst and so it was a must to put it into the video. Thank you😎👍

great tips before the season starts, thanks
Really nice job AJ and tons of good info for beginners and experienced guys alike as a reminder. It definitely helps keep things in perspective.
Very nice and helpful
Thank you so much for this video. 👍👍👍
Great job AJ!
Damn you are really good !!! And I might say that you've picked a really important topic. Well done !!!

Discharge using a 5 gallon bucket full of salt water
Anti spark connector 😮
I have 3 4s batteries in a ammo box because I have no place that will take em.
Use old batteries as target practice to dispose of them
