We've decided for this one to check out these 2 songs together, because both songs from this same album were tremendously short. We're not regular listeners to Neil's music, and that needs to change. Was watching NFL on Sky , game finished and I switched back to normal digital “ peasants “ TV my set top box goes back to the last channel you were watching when you last watched it , it was a digital channel showing auld , mostly Poo , long forgotten 70’s n 80’s comedy shows , the channel is called THATS TV 3.. when my tv opened up the channel and there was Windsor Davies saying to the lads “ I should Cocoa “ !! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
What’s the freakin chances of that after mentioning his name for the 1st time in near 40 years to YOU this afternoon ?????

@@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering jay you will not believe this , sometime ago , on a different channel, I got a reply, saying the quote from private Frazer dads army " we,r aw doomed" , and I swear on all that is sacred to me , within one minute of it, I got another message from our very own COL. With a The exact same "we,r aw doomed" quote, so I absolutely knew how you feel bud crazy eh, lol I was starting to to think it was a Omen ". Aw fk maybe we are aw doomed ,aw,naw" 🏴✌️
He wrote a lot of songs that were really only semi-completed. Soldier & No One Seems To Know are a couple of other good ones. A lot of his catalogue has been whimsical/rustic in nature-he has always jumped around from electric to acoustic, protest song to life on a ranch, country to hard rock to electro pop.
I think, but not certain, that these 2 songs were at the end of each side of the LP.
I was positive you were correct, so I rifled through my vinyl, and you are correct. Till the Morning Comes closes side one, Cripple Creek Ferry closes side two.

Only an artist of supreme talent would have the confidence to include such brief throwaway songs such as these, in my opinion this album is his second greatest and only bettered

He can certainly write tunes, play guitar really well, good lyricist. I am just not that keen on his voice.
Hardly worth listening to
I cannot stand NY.. his voice does my head in and I don’t value his music at all ( except for Harvest Moon .. shhh 🤫 )

Having just exchanged pleasantries with you on Creeque Alley by Mamas and Papas, we are about to fall out 🤣🤣🤣 Neil Young is my favourite artist by some
distance, but Harvest Moon is , I feel , one of his weakest albums, no accounting for taste !!
