Beautiful fabrics. I have been doing a lot of slow stitching using vintage fabrics and I am making a quilt out of vintage feed sack fabric. I just crocheted three purses.

Lovely fabrics I do wish there were more fabric stores here in the UK to visit. I'm currently sat watching your vlog & sewing a summer skirt using a simplicity pattern (s9267) in a very vibrant patterned cotton sateen. Got so many projects in mind

I live in the Dallas area. Yes, there was a tornado that really affected that area a couple of years ago and it seemed that the choices for apparel fabric has never recovered in any of the stores. I almost never find anything that is good quality out there so you got lucky! If you ever come back again and are here on a Saturday check to see if Peggy Sagers of Silhouette Patterns has her store open then. She is only open for a few hours on Saturday ( check first, she doesn’t open every Sat.)but she has a LOT of beautiful good quality fabrics that she gets in NY and Miami. You can also buy some of her fabrics on line. The prices are great and you just can’t beat shopping for fabric in person!
Ohh thank you for the information! I’m going back for a weekend soon, so I’ll make sure to check out her store. All I have locally is Joann fabrics, so it’s such a treat to shop in person!

Lovely fabric haul Lauren looking forward to seeing what you create, especially the home decor projects you are considering, I have that same Rifle Paper peacock fabric in my stash it’s so beautiful.
As for current WIPs I’m in the middle of knitting a blanket and a cowl/shawl, perfect projects now that winter has begun to settle in here in the Southern Hemisphere.
That solid Coral fabric is stunning for a form fitting 50's inspired dress. I made a pair of loose fitting pants for a client out of silk taffeta. The fabric felt divine after prewashing it but it gets a crinkled look to it. Dry clean your garment if you don't want that effect. The less stiff silks sometimes require lowering the tension on your machine. I also use tissue paper to tame it.

Oh I love the peacock one gorgeous...I use linen In all my clothes I'm allergic to everything else. I can see a beautiful blazer in your future..😊😊

I have washed water damaged fabrics that have come out good as new, so maybe that's what will happen with yours.
