Wow. This is amazing. 😊👏 Saved me lots of time, too. Of course now I use an RC-600, but everything still applies here just the same. I can‘t really beat box, so I have to use an electric cajon in conjunction with the built in drum machine and that works fine. I added three additional tracks of brass with the characteristic riffs and made a second memory with the chorus part. I switch between the parts using the inc and dec switches. And now this number is a real show highlight. Thanks so much! 🥰

Loved it. I love how you incorporate the breaks in the song. Also you voice sends it to another level. If you feels so inclined, would it be possible to do a tutorial with an RC-30? How would that change your approach to just have two tracks?
Hey David! Thanks for your compliments and questions 🥰 I’m not intimately familiar with the rc30 - can you have different track lengths on each track? if I only used two tracks, I would probably only have one track for percussion and one for chorus. You could start the song with no loops and add them in on the Prechorus. Or have them all jump in on the 1st chorus. You would have to have to trust your sense of time so it’s not jarringly different when you bring loops in and out. Could be really cool!
Not going to lie thought you were about to cover Steve Winwood's Valerie 🤣🤣. I found your channel researching loop stations. Super excited about the 505MK2. Will be my first loop station. Great performance BTW...✌
It's cool that these are 'one takes'. How many one takes are usually required to get an acceptable uploadable performance? There's a fair amount going on in most of your songs.
Depends on a song. When I’m playing live, I just go with my first take unless I really botch it somehow. but for these I try to do a few so I have options. Getting the first track consistently is the trick!

Ah. Yes this keyboard has some Brest built in sounds. But you totally CAN use midi sounds. You just need to plug the instruments direct into the interface, and send an out signal from the interface to the inputs of the looper, and send a separate out signal back to the input of the interface. You might have to disable the input monitoring within the Looper so that the sounds don’t double. And it might add a teeny tiny bit more lag depending on the processing power of your computer

As it sound great the way your output is.. Also the input volume levels on rc 300 are set to so low..pl throw some light on that too.. Sorry if it is so long with so many questions.. Ah very keen eye! I used to plug directly into the mic input but I think my preamp needed some work and made a tiny constant sshhh noise. So for my studio set here up I plugged the mic and my keyboard into a mixer first and plugged that into the input of the looper 👍 the mixer allowed me to have more inputs to the looper anyway.
Input levels low? Hmm 🤔 if you turn the faders up on the tracks, I think that should* be the same volume as you record them. I also like having my lead vocal go cleanly into the system whether that’s a sound board, or a PA or in this case my video studio set up.
