Mistake #1. You just made her chin 1000 times more obvious! Dude what are you doing, seriously? Every bob you said was a NO in your other video, was actually the nicer cut. You clearly play it safe...or wrong...
So great to see a hairstylist who treats an aging woman with total respect and NO down talking or making her feel like it isn’t important to look her best. KUDOS 🇨🇦
Well, he doesn't talk to her at all. He talks about her. Also, duh, coloring grey hair generally makes one look younger, but most of us who let it go grey have given up on the constant maintenance of color. It's not like we never heard of it before.
I agree! And it's really not much shorter than the style I would recommend that's more contrived anyway. If she didn't like it, you're totally correct, it would grow out SUPER fast, and shed be able to style it more contrived anyway!
DEFINITELY the funky style! It doesn't just take years off her face, it's such a happy, laid back look! I'm immediately drawn to her because she looks like she's fun to be around! I guarantee it will change the way she chooses her wardrobe to more carefree and vibrant clothes, with pieces that pop.
I can relate to Janet. I'm 73 (a young 73 😉) Right now my short cut has grown out into a bob almost touching my shoulders. I have an appt with my stylist in 2 weeks and I've been all over your videos trying to decide what to do. This one probably helped me the most. For Janet, if she can style her new "do" as you've pictured it, I'd go for the short style. It makes her look younger! Very sassy!
I'm 71 and went through chemo years ago, and my hair grew back finer, white and gray mix, and semi curly. I used to have very curly hair. I like her style, but the length is at my shoulders. Should I get mine layered? I don't have bangs.
@@susanbaker2796 Thank you, Susan. I've had short hair in the past, almost pixie (2014-2021). My problem is, no matter the cut or style I dry and style my hair the exact same way with a round brush & my blow dryer. It's driving me crazy!!
Justin you are the most kind and humble content creator. You give us joy just by your kindness shining through. Thank you for how considerate and thoughtful you always are.
The movement and texture is adorable on her!!! Much more youthful looking and she has the option to wear it the other way to if it’s easier to style. ❤
11:19 Just wanted to say here that Janet looks really beautiful with her hair pulled completely back off her face. I know that photo was taken so you could photoshop other styles on her, but I was struck by how nice she looks with her hair back. ❤
I agree! I thought Janet looked striking with her hair pulled back. Her hairline is so pretty and her eyes stand out. IMHO the rest of the styles were pedestrian in comparison.
Personally, I feel that Janet‘s original hair style showed she has a lot less hair than any of the simulated looks. So the work, hair products required & frequency of cuts to keep a shorter style working are all negative factors for me. Anyone one with a thick head of hair, straight or wavy, has a lot more options than Antoine worth fine hair.
No, it's about the cut, the product you use, and how you style it. She can absolutely get any of those styles without an issue. The last one, my favorite on her, is all about layers, volume, and some curl. Achievable no matter which style she chooses.
Love the two styles you suggested for her at the end. Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to style so it looks like the pics you showed? Would love to see how you style this length of fine hair and get that much volume, movement, and texture.
I think this was the best Curveball session I’ve seen. The styles really showed options that lit up her face and brought out her features. The editing of the photos to show the styles was so precise. I do think I like the shortest style you showed because it seemed to be the best combination of style/fun/youthfulness for her face. Best wishes to her!
As a hairdresser, I totally agree that the client is thinking about their perception of themselves and what can we do to improve there look. It's such a fragile issue that most hairdressers don't take into consideration. I like how you addressed that, so true.
I've sadly not gone back to my hairdresser since the last few times she cut my fine hair badly. My hair's a mess, but I've had an offer from a stylist who offered to redo my hair for free- not sure if he's actually going to go through with it, but I'm hoping he will. It's sad when you lose trust in your hairdresser, it really is.
I've seen Janet's hairstyle on so many older women. No offense to Janet, however that style and length tend to make a woman looked even older than she is, look tired, and drags the face down. It also makes the hair look thinner than it probably really is. Not only do I like your curveballs for Janet, she looks great with her hair pulled straight back. It opens up her face and totally eliminates the aged tired look. Thank you Justin!
I think she looked most elegant and stunning with it simply pulled back. I almost gasped at how fresh and beautiful she looked! Her blue eyes REALLY popped! Even her eye-glasses looked bluer. (And I highly recommend going with one's natural, God-given color: 1) it's free; 2) non-toxic for the planet; and, (in my own case) 3) feels healthier and liberating. (I can also wear colors that I never did before.) And a short, cute Pixie is the trick for me - just a pea-sized amount of shampoo once or twice a week, bit of conditioner on other days, or sometimes just pure water! No time spent on "styling" - just towel dry and go! Whooo-hoo! I love it, thank you, Jesus. (P.S. SuperCuts give cute Pixies for $21, and if you go on Tuesdays you get $2 off! WHOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!!!)
Short youthful cut plus a more up to date pair of glasses with colour. We loose colour as we age so colour in frames is very important This way she could still let her grey come in. Frame stylist in optical for 23 years! 70 funky and loving it!!
Janet is absolutely gorgeous with her hair pulled back. So you can see that her face is pretty, but the original hairstyle didn't flatter those looks. I love the ideas you came up with, and especially the two at the end. Either one is easy to style and super flattering. Love it!
I agree...I'm in the short hair for older women camp, unless older women wear their hair 'up' it can drag the face down as we have, by that time probably developed jowls and sagging..(unless you are beautiful with strong bone structure)...
I agree, prefer the funky style first, but another option would be to just have that hair super short . I think it would really suit her and be a whole different look.
I was quite surprised when you showed the comparative of Janet's present style vs her hair pulled off her face. IMHO, her hair did distract from her beauty in the pics. She has beauty that is hiding behind her hair! I couldn't put my finger on the exacts of why, but her beauty shows when her hair does not distract. AND, IMHO, the short layered look at the end seems to be very youthful. Enough so that I (with shoulder length hair at age of 73) suddenly know I am ready to get my locks cut. I will miss not being able to pull my hair off my face and yet, with this haircut and the right product, it could be styled with minimal fuss off the face or not. Thank you so much for posting this particular video!
Did you get a cut and style that work for you? I’m now in the same boat you were when you wrote this. I’m considering a pixie cut for the first time in like 15-20 years! I’m 65, currently with a layered bob that’s too heavy at the bottom behind my ears.
What a fantastic episode. I love how you are teaching us how to communicate what we want from our hairdressers vs expecting them to know instantly. I also love the options you presented, including the low lights but specifically the last two. The slightly funkier one is my fav as its joyful, fun, youthful and seems to light up her face and the other one is lovely too just a little more conservative. Really it comes down to personality as there is no wrong choice.
14:03 Apparently that hair style will also: give her a darker blue shirt, a bit of a tan, a darker shade of lipstick, slightly fuller lips, make her eyes bluer, bring her hairline down to make a smaller forehead, tighten up her jowls, make her jaw line narrower, make her face overall slimmer, and knock back some wrinkles. Amazing what a haircut can do!
I think the low lights is a really good idea and that she should do it. I also like the shorter version, because I know what she's talking about, how we lose collagen in our face and our faces start to drop, and that short haircut gave her a lot of lift. Really looked pretty on her.
I love what you've suggested for her, and all your explanations. I love that you're so in tune with what your client wants. I'm the all-time greatest scardey cat when it comes to hair stylists - I'm in my sixties and have had about three or four cuts in my life that left me truly happy. Clearly I fail to communicate! The last time, nine years ago, she cut the layers so short that I couldn't keep them down. Since then (with only one exception) I've cut it myself - I realise it doesn't look great, but at least it's not so short that I'm miserable. I'd rather cut my fringe weekly, than have it cut half way up my forehead by some helpful hairdresser trying to save me the trouble. Justin I wish you could cut my hair for me, you inspire confidence.
Definitely go with lowlights and I loved all the movement and texture in the last option, much more youthful, drew attention to her blue eyes and sat nicely with her glasses. Thanks for showcasing a style with glasses Justin.
I’m older and have fine, wavy hair. I’ve learned over time to stop beating my hair into submission and letting my waves do their thing. I love my hair and hope Janet will love hers too, whatever style she chooses.
I love the short look on Janice. She looks so much more youthful. IMO, chin length bobs can sometimes look too harsh especially as we age. The short cut softens her up a lot. Justin, when I first saw Janet's pic it scared me a little as she reminds me so much of my sister who has passed away. I actually gasped a little! Love, love your channel ❤
The final look is my favorite... How hard will it be for Janet achieve that volume? I'd love to know the texture of her hair and the amount of curl. I think product is key to helping our hair 'cooperate' especially with new ways of styling - Thanks to Janet for her submission and to Justin for his expertise. Another great video!
Great episode. As someone with thin and fine hair I keep my hair short and funky. I had lowlights done last when I turned 70 as my hair was beginning to grey. Justin is right that it really only has to be done once. Not only have I got used to the changes, I’m much happier now
I really want to acknowledge Janet and all the beautiful women who send in their photos and hair questions! I have terrible hair and no patience to style it and I’m 60 but I’m afraid to ask for Justin’s opinion LOL! I don’t want the world to see my hair failure! But I love that so many women are asking for advice and I can piggyback on what I learn here!
Awh Justin is gentle in his criticism and I think most of the people on here are very supportive and they say lovely things about the people who are brave enough to send their photos in. It's a nice community here.
The shorter style with more movement looks awesome...takes years off her look! I love that you can enjoy your hikes and set up the filming in front of a nice water scene...thanks! I live near Portland and plan to stop in one day...I'm a young looking 67 with long straight fine hair, but willing to try something new... oh, and Babble is definitely in my future.
I’m a young 62 and I’ve got curly red hair that I’ve been growing for that last 18 years - it’s now down almost to my waist but looks shorter because - curly! I’ve discovered that the longer my hair, the better the weight of my hair allows it to not be frizzy - when my hair was shorter it grew out not down as it were. Plus, I finally discovered the right hair care products - think cowash, leave in conditioners that I mix with actual conditioners, kinda changing up the products.
The shortest layered look is amazing. We try and hold onto our long locks as we age as if they are a symbol of our youth. They seem to just make us look older.
Isn’t that the truth! There is a lady at my work who looks a good 20 years older than she is, simply because she refuses to cut her hair or take care of it at all. As a result, it’s totally white (but has that smokers yellow tinge she could easily remedy with blue shampoo) , it’s full of split ends and pointy ends like she hasn’t gotten a trim in decades, it’s frizzy, etc. When she told me her age I almost collapsed in disbelief. I think she thinks, it makes her look youthful. She also lets her nails grow long but they are very yellow and never polished or manicured. (She doesn’t smoke , the hair and nails are just yellow with age)
The color is great, and the loose feathered look of the shorter one is more versatile - you can be free and wild, or you can control and taper the look afterward. The color is a huge difference - makes her eyes speak and makes her look less sallow. My fave is the last shaggy one. Go Janet!!
Great advice as always. I absolutely love the last curve ball look on Janet. The short, sassy style really enhances her features, especially her eyes. Seems like it would be fairly easy to style that way given that she has wavy hair.
i'm in the same boat as Janet. I really love the shorter layered look in the last style. It really brightens up her face and sure it will lift her spirits as well. Good luck to you Janet. Let us know what you decide
I think she should go for the short look with low lights to create movement. I don't think her hair is full or thick enough to create the volume in the longer suggestion. To attempt to create that volume would require a lot of effort, which she wanted to avoid. I also think the shorter style would be more youthful, even though we often associate shorter cuts with older women. I love your explanations, Justin.
Love funky and spunky look. The extra layers give so much character to her design. Perhaps she can experiment with wash out color or shampoos to embrace elevating her look without being beholden to a color maintenance schedule. A soft hint of pink or violet would be lovely on her salts. Well done Justin, love your show!🎉
I was thinking she might want to get a couple bottles of Splat! And experiment. With her skin I'd go go soft pale purple or else deep violet, not day-glo. She could also do bubblegum pink. Magenta I think would be too much, and the greens would just make her skin look yellow.
Please, please, please do not put pink and purple in your hair if you are over 30. It is gross and in this day and age it makes it look like your face belongs on a mugshot with Antifa. IT IS GROSS!!!
Love the short style and love the attention to older gray haired women. I have the gray bob and full face and I want more movement and lift. Now I know how to explain what I want to my stylist. Thank you Justin!
Nice options! The funky style with movement is the cutest option for me because it adds liveliness and a little mischief :) I think we middle aged women are beautiful and don't need to look younger... It's more about finding what accentuates the wit, wisdom and personality we've earned!
Love that last look on her! I think it’s more youthful and fun. I was all in on the 2 before that but once you did that little fun style, I immediately felt she was “less tired”. And I’m “tired” so I mean no offense at all! I did the shorter back and longer sides to front with my naturally curly hair. I loved it but I just can’t style it. And bless my stylist, she did the cut I asked for but she doesn’t know how to style curly hair so I’m still working it out. A year later.
I just did the same thing and all I can do is scrunch styling cream in my naturally curly hair and diffuse it dry. If I tip my head upside down while drying it come out fuller. The stylist used more product with hold and I didn’t . But it’s fine for now.
I think you're right on the mark! I thought her hair looked good but your "after" made it look way better. I also liked that last option with lots of movement and if it is the same cut she can style it like that when she feels flirty!
Oh my goodness, she looks fantastic in the layered style. I had a similar to her original cut for years and recently I found my best style which is just like the last one!🙌🏻🙌🏻
I totally agree with the lowlights suggestion. My colorist has suggested the same to me, since I’ve been interested in embracing my grays. I’ve done highlights forever and I’m tired of the struggle, but I was concerned about the grow out. What you said is the same thing I was told. And it makes perfect sense! The lower maintenance, the better. Great video!
I have been gray/silver/salt-pepper for at least ten years now. It all started with salon applied lowlights and keeping my hair trim regularly. As the silver/gray came in I bumped up a bold lip and somewhat luminous Blush. Don’t forget a bit of a stronger eyebrow. Going gray can make you look faded, washed out. I have been complimented quite often on my hair. Completely liberating!!!
As always, you did a great job of showing what can be done by showing us pictures. I like the more tousled look. I feel that it makes her look younger. Very attractive lady.
I love the last. Definitely makes her look younger. I love it when everything isn't perfect looking! It looks sharp and a little messy.... actually spunky!!! And I love the color!!!
What a very observant man you are - fantastically clear explanations - you should be a writer !! Everything easy to follow when you explain & demonstrate with those clear pictures ! Marvellous , but it does not happen in real life - at the hairdresser !
I know right. Most stylists don't have a clue. I'd totally trust Justin though as he really listens to his clients and works with them to encourage them rather than just cutting it in whatever style he wants like most stylists tend to do even when you bring in a photo of the style you want.
I love using a demi-permanent color that's not too far from my natural color. It lets me keep the grays but they become muted and still look pretty brown but not ashy. And there's no harsh line, it just gradually fades out with many washes. Easy peasy. Thank you for your channel! Cheers
The view doesn't suck because you are out in nature & not stuck inside with a boring & generic background 😉 I love that your wife is in your videos & that she lets you use her in your demonstrations 🤩
Janet thanks so much for submitting your photos. My hair is similar so there was a lot of “take always”. I’ve stopped fighting the waves in my hair, and have the chin length bob with no bangs that he talked about and really like the movement from the waves. Now I see that I should go in for low lights again along with more layers.
Hi Justin, do you ever take on clients who want to travel to Washington for you to cut their hair? So instead of sending in a photo and you photoshopping it- would you film the “makeover” process by cutting (demonstrating) the person’s hair in your show?
I'm in Eastern Washington, and would also love to know the answer to this! Anyway, absolutely loved this video, as an older woman with several of the same concerns.
I think Justin is travelling at the moment and is planning on going to Europe soon, but I would love if he did live makeovers on some of his viewers which he could do if he told us where he was likely to be and the viewer could host it at their home. I think we'd all love a chance to have Justin style our hair and think how his viewing figures would soar.
Love this video. My vote is she should go totally crazy and get the textured and movement style. I’m tempted to get that myself but would have no idea where to begin on how to style it. Please show us that! ❤
Definitely the short sassy cut. It is incredible on her! How would you describe that cut? I meet with my hairdresser next week and I want to ask for it!
Textured 100%! She would look even younger even though age is not the issue here. I have a similar issue with my hay and this video shows exactly where I'm going.
You know what makes me look old, being old! I just keep my hair long, because it looks better in a pony tail. I can't style my hair everyday. I have things to do. Besides who wants the obligation of styling it everyday.
I cut my own hair in a bob. I’ve watched hair dressers do it for so long I just do it myself. I’m on SS and it saves money and everyone thinks I go to a salon.
Really, you have so many things to do that you can't use a styling brush for three minutes? It sounds like you are just afraid of change. And that's what makes you look old.
It took me until yesterday, watching a lot of your videos, to finally understand that my problem wasn't my facial features but the difference of proportion between my face and my hair. I need my hair to take a lot more space than they do if I want to get rid of this "you only see my cheeks" impression. And today, you gave me comfirmation with the perfect example! Thanks! The curveball at the end is mindblowing! To think that they're the same cut just styled differently! 🤩
Honestly, I think you are spot on and I love both of those last looks on her. In fact, I would say that the style at 14:17 is not only flattering, but does make her look younger.
Absolutely LOVE the shorter trendy style for her 😍 it really thins her face out even more ( not that it needed it but I see her point) that’s the best advice I’ve ever seen!
Yes, I love the funky style, brought so much fun and personality to her look, and looked modern and cute. I also agree that she was stunning with it pulled all the way back, as well.
The short haircut definitely. It’s a bit edgy which is youthful and the lowlights really improve the overall color. I would have liked to see the last cut from the side and back as well.
Love this. Color is a great idea and I think if she's not opposed to using some product and a bit more styling time, that short ultra-movement cut is very cool!
What a fantastic video and channel! For once, UA-cam’s recommendation feed was 🎯. I loved all of your suggestions for Janet’s hair - especially the final variation. Now I’m off to binge more of your videos before my next styling appointment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
WOW. your rite on man.. Never heard any hair stylist, explain like this! it's so clear& not confusing.. The woman looks much better, either one at the end, the one she likes more, for her to pic) majority of Cosmetologists spin it, sounds like oh ya , cut this, do this, color here, no prob. its easy, no time at all. 7 hours later, huge bill. leave with tears. I have 2 daughters that are licensed. oldest has created shops. Had one of her own for 6 years. Her clients won't go to anyone else!! Subbed of course. Luv the water fall....
Oh and yes to the low lights. I actually had to grow out my silver due to allergies to hair dye. My hair came in mostly white with very little pepper so I add lowlights for dimension. I get alot of compliments on my white, its not silver nor pepper but actually white , I take after my grandmother so when I do add the lowlights my hair does look thicker.
Thank you for this one. I have fine grey hair as well that's gotten thinner as I've gotten older and there are not enough stylists who cover this without saying 'oh get rid of the grey'.
I loved the last style on her! I'm older too, and I like the idea of putting a little fun in my hair- that alone automatically reads "younger" in her appearance, because it adds so much personality! Thanks for the video!
I am 55 and just added movement to my hair and love it. My hair just doesn't do well being longer anymore. It just lays there, and it feels thinner. I had my stylist layer it and have the length go to just under my earlobe. It looks and feels thicker, my waves are now showing, and with just a little added curl from my brush iron, I give it a more tousled, textured look. It doesn't take long to style at all. I also have a short neck, so I feel that my new length makes my neck look a little longer.
I like the shorter hair style as it makes her look younger. I have similar facial features & my hair is cut in an angle but I color it. She looks good with gray hair & may look even younger with some color added. Thanks for sharing with us!
Love the spiky hair cut. I agree that women with gray hair need low lights. I’m still coloring my hair brown. But when I do go gray I will be getting all kinds of low lights put in!

I totally agree!!!
Me too!
Love and appreciate your videos.

How about bottle blonde and plastic surgery. Full tuck.
I love the spikey/funky look. Makes her look 20 years younger, lifts the lower jaws/jowls - just makes her look amazing.

how can i make my long nose look shorter?
which hairstyle would suit me?
Totally agree
Definitely the funky one. The 'old lady' style should be banned for anyone under 85 years old.
Agree!
Definitely the funky style
I normally hate those spiky short cuts, but Janet can definitely pull off that look and it really made her look younger.
Yes, she’s got such beautiful skin and facial features

I've seen Janet's hairstyle on so many older women. No offense to Janet, however that style and length tend to make a woman looked even older than she is, look tired, and drags the face down. It also makes the hair look thinner than it probably really is. Not only do I like your curveballs for Janet, she looks great with her hair pulled straight back. It opens up her face and totally eliminates the aged tired look. Thank you Justin!
I agree with all of this. And like you mentioned, she could go short too since her hair looks great back off her face!
I thought the same! Those blue eyes are mesmerizing! I'd love to see what she eventually went for.
I liked the photo of her hair pulled back too, and the last option as well.
I like the short style she looks amazingly younger and updated
And a necklift!
What’s the point of these videos if you do all the extra corrections on her face? It negates all the possibility and makes this whole thing phony.
Weirdos.
I think the low lights is a really good idea and that she should do it. I also like the shorter version, because I know what she's talking about, how we lose collagen in our face and our faces start to drop, and that short haircut gave her a lot of lift. Really looked pretty on her.
I totally agree! I'm glad you think the sam way! Yes, collagen is a huge player...cutting for volume in the right areas really helps to offset that!
Thank you! Glad I could help! I agreee, she has beautiful blue eyes. The darker lowlights would also draw more attention to them!
Thank you! I'm so sorry to hear about your sister! That must have been a bit of a shock to see!
Wow! You are a miracle worker! How fun to watch you work your hair magic!
She said fine wavy
Great episode.
As someone with thin and fine hair I keep my hair short and funky. I had lowlights done last when I turned 70 as my hair was beginning to grey. Justin is right that it really only has to be done once. Not only have I got used to the changes, I’m much happier now
70!! You started greying at 70?!? I started at 30!
The color and the movement. For sure the movement. Changes her whole personality! Looks more approachable, interesting, and young. Love it.
i'm in the same boat as Janet. I really love the shorter layered look in the last style. It really brightens up her face and sure it will lift her spirits as well. Good luck to you Janet. Let us know what you decide
I love the last one on her the most
100% the shorter "looking" of the 2 - more tousled. I love that look so much!
Thank you! I think the shorter looks great on her too! DO you think it was just messy enough or too messy at all?
@@justinhickox I think it’s just messy enough.
I think the hairstyle with more movement is spot on ! It is beautiful and accentuates her beautiful eyes !
I think that cut is a bixie, one I'm planning to get but my forehead is a fivehead so need more bangs
Luv the last option! The low lights on all the choices really perk up her skin tone. Final pic is just fun, youthful, checks all the boxes😊
Love funky and spunky look. The extra layers give so much character to her design.
Perhaps she can experiment with wash out color or shampoos to embrace elevating her look without being beholden to a color maintenance schedule. A soft hint of pink or violet would be lovely on her salts.
Well done Justin, love your show!🎉
Oo! I like the violet idea! 💜
Loved the seeing the differences/pointers for each style!! She looked great in the funky hairstyle. Hair color change also was a plus.
Curveball for the win! Love the short look. Much more youthful and updated.
I Love her in the funky style! Also the color looks richer and makes her look more engaged and confident.
As the silver/gray came in I bumped up a bold lip and somewhat luminous
Blush. Don’t forget a bit of a stronger eyebrow. Going gray can make you look faded, washed out.
I have been complimented quite often on my hair.
Completely liberating!!!
This is 6 months old but I love the last cut on her. Makes her look younger and what a difference from the beginning hair style.
As always, you did a great job of showing what can be done by showing us pictures. I like the more tousled look. I feel that it makes her look younger. Very attractive lady.
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! It can be hard to show things using photoshop..but I try my hardest! Thanks for the feedback!
Cheers
What color do you use and do you do it yourself
Was going to ask the same question.
The view doesn't suck because you are out in nature & not stuck inside with a boring & generic background 😉
I love that your wife is in your videos & that she lets you use her in your demonstrations 🤩
Yep!!!!!
As I recently retired, I’ve been getting back out into nature and loving it! My 3 dogs are also very happy to be coming with me as well!
I'm in Eugene and would love to know the answer to this!
YES!
I love the more untidy look, it makes her face more youthful and modern. Go for it Janet and have a ball!!
Love this video. My vote is she should go totally crazy and get the textured and movement style. I’m tempted to get that myself but would have no idea where to begin on how to style it. Please show us that! ❤
Textue ...a little lowlights for lift and texture. 💯 percent right about the entire transformation. You are a brilliant stylist.
Definitely the short sassy cut. It is incredible on her! How would you describe that cut? I meet with my hairdresser next week and I want to ask for it!
Textured 100%! She would look even younger even though age is not the issue here. I have a similar issue with my hay and this video shows exactly where I'm going.
Love the short, textured cut, she looks so much younger!
The style with more movement and texture is the most flattering and most youthful looking. Great job!
You know what makes me look old, being old! I just keep my hair long, because it looks better in a pony tail. I can't style my hair everyday. I have things to do. Besides who wants the obligation of styling it everyday.
It only takes a few extra minutes of effort.
Definitely the third look..she would look more stylish. I would like to see her smile and lowlights for sure !!! Spot on. ❤❤❤
Yes I would too. I love it.
Hey! Thank you! I'm so glad you're liking the content! I appreciate the feedback! Welcome to the fam!
Your ideas don’t totally suck! I would love to see this beautiful lady wear the last two styles, she could totally rock them! Great video too!
The main reason for me staying away from colouring is not maintenance but putting unnecessary chemicals on my skin.
And chemicals that are released into the water.
I’ve watched dozens of videos and this was the most helpful. I’m going to your channel. ❤
I think that you’re as smart as a whip, Justin. Thank you for your intelligent videos😊
WOW.
your rite on man..
Never heard any hair stylist, explain like this! it's so clear& not confusing.. The woman looks much
better, either one at the end, the one she likes more, for her to pic)
majority of Cosmetologists spin it, sounds like oh ya , cut this, do this, color here, no prob. its easy, no time at all. 7 hours later, huge bill. leave with
tears. I have 2 daughters that are licensed. oldest has created shops. Had one of her own for
6 years.
I think the first option, the fuller at the sides cut, is the most flattering and makes her look younger.
The addition of color is fantastic!
I loved the last style on her! I'm older too, and I like the idea of putting a little fun in my hair- that alone automatically reads "younger" in her appearance, because it adds so much personality!
Thanks for the video!
Absolutely love the funky style! Makes her look younger and more confident ❤
The funky style ❤ She looks gorgeous with the movement around her face 👌
Love how you explain everything from cut to color and face shape. Thank you !❤
You're so welcome! Glad I can help! Does it all make sense?
@@justinhickox absolutely makes sense!
Definitely the shorter, “crazy” style! It’s flattering, youthful, and easy to style.
I like the shorter hair style as it makes her look younger. I have similar facial features & my hair is cut in an angle but I color it. She looks good with gray hair & may look even younger with some color added. Thanks for sharing with us!
Oh definitely the shorter, choppier style. That will look so good on her ❤
it would be fun on her right!
The funky texture 100%
Love the spiky hair cut. I agree that women with gray hair need low lights. I’m still coloring my hair brown. But when I do go gray I will be getting all kinds of low lights put in!
