That last one is perfect! Love the longer wavy one too. Straight hair seems to look a bit harsh and dated. I actually just did this to my own hair and I’m digging it. I think a few dramatic highlights in the front would look great on her. It’s crazy how much different shapes and colors changes the way the face looks!
Curveball #3. No question. Lifts her completely, exposing her neck is great. Looks younger, fresher, thinner. Face is opened up too and her eyes are the main event. Hope she goes for it! ❤️
@@caro748no he hasn’t, if anything her cheeks look fuller because it’s lifted her face. And she’s smiling more in 3 and 4 which has effected her eyes and cheeks. I’m a hairdresser, I know the effects a haircut can make on the face.
I think Curveball #3 is most flattering for her. Speaking as a woman of a certain age, wavy or curly hair is less severe than straight hair and is less likely to show contrast to the little lines we all get on our faces. Plus, the shorter cut gives her more volume and a facelift. I love a facelift haircut.
LOVE both of the curly styles. I’d go longer first, because the longer length is still fashionable right now, and it’s winter…. But she’s gotta go “curveball” when she’s tired of longer hair. It’s adorable and so flattering!
❤ Curveball #3! It adds fullness in the right places and really lifts one’s gaze, plus it adds a ton of energy/youthfulness and lets her gorgeous eyes shine.
Hi Justin. I like curveball # 3. It looks edgy and modern. The cool thing is if she dosen't like it, she can always grow it out. I feel the shorter style lifts her face up instead of pulling it down like the longer lengths do.
Absolutely love curveball 3. It shows off her beautiful face and has that oomph that you want in a short style. I'm all for embracing one's natural texture if possible, and the wavy styles do that so beautifully. The only problem I see with curveball 1 is that it can be very time consuming to style one's hair that way, and the slightest bit of humidity will destroy it.
I LOVE, love, love curveball #2 for Amy - SO attractive, absolutely gorgeous, and it looks, somehow, (without knowing her AT all), that it suits her personality, even more so than curveball #1. I actually like Curveball #3 as well - I think because those waves look so natural on Amy (and, it might be even easier for her to manage than Curveball #2). You just gave her a makeover with just photoshop and a haircut - amazing!
Love curveball #2 the most but Amy has to be able to do this style herself as I myself would love to work this style. I have the very similar hair cut as Amy and in my upper 60’s. Also like the straight with bangs to the side.
I loved curve ball #1 on her but then I loved curve ball #2 even more. Then I saw curve ball #3 on her I was blown away! She really looks so much younger and so stylish. Wow! What a difference a great haircut can make! I would do anything to have Justin do that for me!
Curve balls 1 & 2 would be easy. Curve ball 3 actually creates a slimmer jawline by exposing her neck! Most of all, I agree with you that going with a cooler tone of color on her hair really would suit her coloring and make glow!
The curve ball # 3 is so cool! It makes her look younger, updated & sassy! I love the curls on her absolutely softens her whole look! Great video......bet it's beautiful by now with all the snow. Hope you go back when the snow is deeper & make another video then too!☃️ I am trying to recommend some relatives to you who live in Portland!🙏 Thanks Justin✨
Both wavy styles look terrific on her, making her look more vibrant and modern. I find the sleek bob too far too harsh and actually aging her. Fully agree that going with a cooler colour and highlights is most flattering for her too!
I love the short wavy one the best! Highlights her bright eyes- brings out the brightness of her eye! The wavy Bob comes in second. The sleek long one doesn’t match her personality in my opinion. Great job!
I'm a fan of curveball#2. Might be because I'm in a situation similar to her in regards to lenght, fine texture and having wavy hair. I took a screenshot of it and am going to show it to my hairdresser at my next appointment. Thanks Justin!!
10:14 Anyone catch his wife dancing in the background at the end? lol! Loved the suggestions, especially making it a little less warm, that really brought her beautiful skin tone out. I also liked the first curveball too. I love these videos, they’re realistic but still kind and respectful. Thanks!
I love curveball 3!! The wavy styles look so nice and natural! I struggle with wavy and fine hair too. It’s always a crap shoot from day to day regarding how it can look. But I say go for #3!
I agree! Those two are my favorites for sure! I DO like the red color on her as well though. Her eyes are beautiful right! It felt good to be back outside! I can't wait to fully share the story behind TVDS! It's SO much more than the actual view behind me!
Love the wave and color.....then you through in short. Never saw that coming, but it looked really good on her too. But I feel like she would really rock the mid length wave. That is so fun on her!
I like all three. Do you ever post follow ups on the choice made? It would be fun to see. I miss hiking in Oregon. It's nice to see virtually at least. 😊

I actually like all three curve balls, even the short one (sorry Dionna). I think my favorite for her is the short one! Thanks Justin for another fun and informative video. Happy New Year!🎉
I love curveball #2! I think it makes her look quite a bit younger, if that's the look she wants. #1 is "ok" but #2 looks so much better, that #1 pales in comparison, so to me, #1 would be more of another way to wear her hair occasionally if she gets bored with #2. I'm on the fence with curveball #3... we need to see these looks from the sides, too! I think it'd be helpful if you could encourage people to send in not only front and side views of their normal day to day look, but also front and side views of their hair pulled back off their faces so when you photoshop, we can see how your curveballs affect features like double chins, jowls, foreheads, cheekbones, etc. We are seen by people from the side (and other angles) often, so those things really matter in real life. Great job Justin! This one was really good; I hope she trys your suggestions!

Isn't it amazing how much volume in certain areas changes the face shape! Once you go shorter, you're able to remove and add volume much easier and change the face in the process!
I love both #2 & 3 of the curveballs you showed. I think she looks both in great and I love the color also. It's really the style that she can do at home herself and not be overwhelmed by it. It's not always easy to do certain hairstyles yourself. The side bang is great and really brings out her eyes. As usual you offered great alternatives Jason! Thank you always for all the helpful advice
Hey Justin, You nailed it on this one. I love it. The short curly bob looks great on her. Her beautiful eyes are what you see first. The cut makes her look youthful. Love, love, love it 💕
Thanks for another great video, Justin! My style ranks 2, 3, and last 1. I do like the cooler color. She should try style 2, she can always go shorter if she wants.
Wow! Curveball #3 looks best. Her head does not look "scrunched on her neck with a pile of hair". She looks trimmer, more erect, and her eyes definitely are highlighted. With this style, the colors of her hair could vary a lot, and still look fresh. Thank you.
Loved number 4 long wavy, side behind ear, it seems to address all her concerns, its soft and flattering, bringing attention to her lovely eyes, its fun and youthful, its long enough to wear up, and if she uses the right products and technique she can encourage more wave ❤
Ohhh...I had that overlayering in the front happen to me. It was so frustrating. First haircut with that particular hairstylist was one of the best I ever had. Second one, she ruined my perfect bob by making my thick, full hair thin and wispy in the front and taking the back up too far. Why she did that, rather altering the whole look in the process, when all I wanted was 5 or 6 weeks worth of growth removed, I have no idea. Haven't been for a cut for 6 months now, because I decided to go back to shoulder length+ after that experience. Short hair is just too much hassle and cost, if you can't even rely on a good result, every time you go to a hairdresser. Curveball 2 is kinda what I'm aiming for, as I also have naturally wavy hair and like lots of volume. I find it very hard to decide for her though. She's one lucky lady, because all three look really good on her! I'd start with the longer length and play around with styling the hair smooth vs curly. See how the hair takes to that, if it will even take a curl well or stay smooth in high humidity and all that. Because the best haircut can end up a fail, if the daily styling just becomes too much or starts damaging her fine hair. And she can always go to short, after that. Growing out your hair from that short to shoulder length is a total pain. So I would not choose that as a first option. Speaking from experience here. It's fun, to just cut the whole mess on your head off, no question. But if you change your mind ..going from above to below chin length is such an awkward process 🫣
Since I've had curveball #1 for far too long and I'm tired of it, I'm biased 😄I love #2 and LOVE #3. If my face suited it, I'd go with shorter too. I think curly looks better on her. It's more relaxed and I feel she has a more relaxed and open sort of look...and energy. I'm curious which one she will pick (if any), I hope she does a follow up picture for us!
I prefer 1 and 3. I think her hair looks fine and I wonder if the waves would last for more than a couple of hours. I know they wouldn't in my fine hair. I think the short cut is quite youthful. I would love to hear about follow ups on what everyone chooses to do.
Love #2. The #3 would work great too but it speaks to me as someone who is a bit more ballsy. If I wanted to give off a more warm and youthful look I’d go #2. To me this one seems approachable. Great video!
This is such a great video. I love how Justin talks so fast. He gets so much good information to us in a short amount of time. I like all of styles he showed us. The two wavey hair styles are my favorite. 2 and 3. I'm leaning toward 3 because it gives her a classy, lifted look and really makes her beautiful eyes pop.
#3 is so flattering and not only compliments her face, it makes her look younger!
Thats so weird because I think it makes her look older. I agree that it looks good, though.
Yes, she does look slightly younger, I think.
@@JLF201I agree, the shorter one makes her look older

I love curveballs 2 and 3. The wavy style is really cute.
I like curveball 1 or 2 -2 is most flattering, I think- most youthful! *Hate #3! 😂
Love the 3rd option. Bring an element of fun and confidence to her & lifts the focus. Very well explained- thank you Justin.
I totally agree.I recently cut off all my hair. And I just feel like you can see my face now. besides that, it's so much easier!
#3 is the most flattering. The waves are sexy but not messy which I love. It's a youthful and sophisticated look.
❤ Curveball #3! It adds fullness in the right places and really lifts one’s gaze, plus it adds a ton of energy/youthfulness and lets her gorgeous eyes shine.
I love the shorter cut in number three. I am a longer hair gal, but I think that looks so fun on her!
I love the short look!!! The wavy one is good too. Makes her more youthful
#3 for sure! It would allow so much flexibility with style and accessories. Feels the most youthful, classic but different from the norm.
I love it too! I really wasn't sure how people would react to that one! Glad you liked it too!

Feel your pain never get a good cut second time around with hairdressers. Wish we had a Pixie DIY we could perfect ourselves for curly gals #3 look.
I love the sleeker bob on her with the cooler red and darker brunette tones. It really brightens up her face.
I love the straight shaped one, and I love the short one too! Good ideas for me as well.
2 and 3. I've been the victim of #1. It's awful to maintain. If you're to willing to style the hair every day, it's not good.
It's too close to a "Karen" bob
love the wavy shoulder length curveball and the shorter one she could rock for a change in the summer with some highlights! great job 👍
I prefer 1 and 3. I think her hair looks fine and I wonder if the waves would last for more than a couple of hours. I know they wouldn't in my fine hair. I think the short cut is quite youthful. I would love to hear about follow ups on what everyone chooses to do.
Yes! Another follow up video would be amazing!!!
Curve ball #3 is a great Spring/Summer look. I like #2 for Fall/Winter.
#3 is adorable and very flattering for sure!
Option #2 is gorgeous and I feel achieves the youthful look she is going for!
Definitely number 3. I have a similar look and last summer I did the big chop. I have a neck! This is a more flattering style for sure👍👍
Curveball number 3! Fabulous! It makes her look so much younger! Wish I could do it but I don’t think my hair has enough wave and volume!
oh my goodness. hands down #3! SO flattering.
Curveball 3 definitely! It blows all the others away.
Great video and explanation! So many women have overly point-cut whispy layers that thin the hair out.
#1. Was the best. Loved that color too. It made her look younger and thinner.
Love the curly styles softens the face and highlights the eyes. Makes her look younger..
I love the shorter version you showed. All of your ideas are great.
I like all three curveballs.
#3 really lightens things up and is a nice change.
And the background is beautiful!!
The short haircut elongates her neck nicely 👌🏼and the waves soften it. I like the blonde highlights which lift it too!
I like #2 and #3. I have similar problems to Amy's, so this was very helpful. Thank you, Justin!
#3 Looks fantastic. Makes her look younger. So cute & she can enjoy curls. (I's so jealous)
