I have the same tires on my 98 Chevrolet Silverado Z71. I absolutely love them. They perform well in all conditions. Just had about 2 feet of snow where I live and I didn't even have to put it in 4 wheel drive
I put the same tire on my 03 Suburban woods rig. 3 inch leveling kit and 285 75 16 fit well. Awesome tire, super tough! I came from BFG and am super happy! A/T trail's went on the Outback a week after putting these on the truck! A+++
I live at 7,000 foot elev and we've had lots of snow already, I'm very happy with this tire as well. Your rig sounds awesome, any links to a vid of it? Post it here man, love to see it.
Thanks for posting this video! There are surprisingly very few detailed videos/pictures and reviews of these tires. Great to see them in such detail. Beautiful Tacoma. These tires are replacing the Falken AT3W in 33s for my 4Runner, which have been great! Excited to see how these compare.
Jared G. The MT01 is my first MT tire I’ve ever ran on so I really didn’t know what to expect. I have to say, they have surpassed my expectations in every regard. They are more quite than expected. While they may be about the same dB level of the Wildpeak AT3W, they have a nice mellow hum to them instead of the insanely annoying high pitched frequency I experienced with the AT3W. They corner well. They have incredible road manners especially for the aggressive tread. While I don’t have a ton of miles on them yet (maybe 8,000) they haven’t gotten louder or deteriorated in performance one bit. I have never once been left wanting more traction anywhere, on OR off road. They air down nicely and perform ridiculously well on the trails regardless of condition. I’ll have to wait and see now they’re doing in the snow when that season arrives shortly. All in all, couldn’t be happier with these tires and I’d buy them again right now if I had to replace them without even looking around...and that says a lot for me!
Just wrapped up a 7 day elk hunt where these tires were run at 16psi on nasty dirt roads, snow, and mud. Zero complaints. I'm impressed with their performance, you should be as well. Thanks for the comment.
Great vid man. I actually saw your 2nd video first. Just got a 2021 Sport and thinking about getting a lift with those same size tires. Diggin the MT's over the AT's. The only concern is that I'll probably to the opposite and 80/20 more on the highway.
You should be able to drop your tire pressure lower off-road. I used to go to 10 psi on some non beadlock wheels, I just made sure I didn’t turn to crazy. At 15psi, you’re just starting to get into the area of tire squish and aren’t really taking advantage of it.
On my 13 f150 i run LT275/70/18 atw3 and ran psi at 36 in summer. Had good wear. But was noticing alot of wall flex on corners and curves. I called falken and was told to run 49 psi. Seemed to really help on the snow. I live far north WI deep snow out here.
That's interesting. So I've been driving on 3-4 inches of compact snow & ice for a few days here and notice the traction is pretty good around 45psi so 49 wouldn't change it much. I too notice the wall flex, I've trained myself not to get aggressive when I'm running lower pressures but I have to raise the psi when at hwy speeds for sure. Really like this tire. Thanks for the tip.
@@pvclassic ya. But your running m/t so might have a little variance. I also dont like running 4 wheel so i stay in 2x 90% of the time. Im still super happy with these tires! Love your setup as well!
Y’all can probably run lower than that. LT tire air pressure ratings are for when the truck is going to be used at its max load, in a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. I ran 255/85r16s on my Tacoma which were load range E, and I was at 32psi on the front and 25psi in the rear. I did the chalk test and found out that at those pressures was where my tires wore the best going down the road. That’s how you’ll find the right pressures.
@@countryboy9546 i was running lower. Was having alot of sidewall flex. Shitty cornering etc. I called falken gave them my stock tire size , truck weight and a few other things and thats what the guy told me to put it at. After i upped it the issues went away. I ran at 40 psi for a year. Where im at now i can run snow way better as well.
I have a few questions: What would you say your stopping range is in heavy snow? Where I'm from I get heavy winters and need A, stopping distance reliability, B, good on-road traction and C, good daily driving. So I want to know that I'm making a good investment. How long have those tires lasted you? I need something that I don't have to replace each winter [ haven't needed to, just an example ] the BFG's I have on my rig have lasted my quite a while but I am in the market again as the tread is low. Snow is my biggest concern out where I am as well as longevity, so if there is anyone who has had these tires and heavy/ 2 feet of snowfall per day at times in the winter, please feel free to reply to this comment and let me know your experiences.
Very informative! No rubbing at all even in full articulation? ???? I’m getting the exact same set up on my taco! Thank you! This video really helped me with my choice.
Sorry for the late reply. Under heavy articulation I do get small amounts of rubbing, but it's not enough to cause damage. I live at 7000 foot elev, and I spend more hours offroad than I do on road.
Yes. 10 being the noisiest I'd put them at a 6.5 but I knew going in they'd do that. Also I run them low on pressure because I run alot of dirt roads and I seldom load this truck down. I also only drive it around town so not much hwy use.
Ha, that's their best attribute. The compound within this tire makes it remain soft and compliable in cold weather. They flex better than any tire I've owned making them that much better offroad and in snow. We just put a set on our new F250 and love them. Know this tho, they don't last as long when mounted on a heavy truck like the F250.
*Installed and tires balanced perfectly as we all know some MT's do and some dont.💡💡 **allabout.wiki/Falken** These look amazing and perform just the same. Not to loud not to quiet. Love the look, would recommend.*

Literally the best winter tire I've owned.

Not a Hwy tire. Noise and road handling are my key thoughts here. These shine off road and are survivable on road. IMHO
@@pvclassic Finally decided to go with the AT2 WA. It feels great on the highway. Thanks for the advice.
@@robnhood5432 awesome. That what I put on my wife's SUV.

Do you have a lift or anything? And I think you said 285s is your tire size.
I do, it has a 2.5" lift from ToyTech. I forget which lift, but roughly $1400 shipped.
hows winter with them?
Currently have ko2s. How loud are these compared on the road?
Def loader than KO2s. Did you find my follow up vid on these tires? I have a camera catching the road noise. And I speak to that in more detail.
These are not loud for a mt tire
@@mg90q61 Depends on the air pressure you run. I run extremely low pressure so I do pick up a little more noise than the avg driver.

34 inch. I cover that in my video.
