  • There is an incredible charm to a full-body mahogany guitar, and when done right they can be some of the purest and natural sounding guitars ever made. This custom ordered 001 from Collings WAS done right, and Jesse's here to show it to you. This guitar is already on its way, but give us a call to discuss putting your name on a custom build that we have on order from the kind folks at ‪@CollingsGuitars‬.

Man I so enjoy these videos! Playing In the center of the sound hole...I guess people will have to think of something else to comment on.

This guitar is a stunner and what a tone. Perfectly voiced where a guitar should sit in the mix but would be great for a singer-songwriter who plays alone. Kudos on the playing and humidity tips. Your love for these instruments is evident. You have an amazing job!

@@ArtisanGuitars you are very welcome. I can only imagine how these guitars sound in person because the sound is very good on my phone, balanced yet three-dimensional at times. Collings makes crazy good guitars. What do you think of their Waterloo line of instruments? I know they are going for a different vibe with those guitars.

@@rdmkeytohwy Thanks for watching our videos, and for being a Collings fan! You are in good company. The Waterloo brand was one of Bill Collings more interesting projects, a deep dive into vintage depression-era guitars that were in fact built by wood workers (cabinet and furniture makers), no luthiers. Those instruments were not built well and most brands did not survive past the 1940's. Though they had a certain fundamental sound that is unmistakable. Collings lovingly recreated a number of models from specific brands, some ladder braced, some X braced - All lightly built and with a period correct vibe. They do not have the usual Collings broad range of voicing, more mid-range dominant yet very responsive and lively due to the ultra-thin nitro finish. Most have a rather chunky neck (which was intentionally part of the science), though they later introduced a "small-neck" option. Unlike the originals, they have truss rods and reinforced necks sufficient to last a lifetime. Check out some of our Waterloo demo videos to learn more about their sound quality and see how they might fit into your collection. Thanks again!

This guy is the absolute worst guitar demonstrator in the industry. He is not a comedian.

Okay great guitar. But that guy needs to polish up on his presentation skills. Not very smooth or professional.

He's not there to entertain you... If you´re really interested in the guitar drop them a line or give them a call and you'll see how professional this shop is.
